المَزامِير 54

١ 1 لِقَائِدِ الْمُنْشِدِينَ عَلَى الآلاتِ الْوَتَرِيَّةِ. مَزْمُورٌ تَعْلِيمِيٌّ لِدَاوُدَ عِنْدَمَا قَالَ أَهْلُ زِيفَ لِشَاوُلَ إِنَّ دَاوُدَ مُخْتَبِئٌ عِنْدَهُمْ يَا اللهُ بِاسْمِكَ خَلِّصْنِي، وَبِقُوَّتِكَ أَنْصِفْنِي.

God, by your power [MTY, DOU] save me [from my enemies], and show people that I have not done anything that is wrong!

٢ 2 يَا اللهُ اسْمَعْ صَلاتِي وَأَصْغِ إِلَى كَلامِي.

God, listen to my prayer; listen to what I say to you,

٣ 3 لأَنَّ غُرَبَاءَ قَامُوا عَلَيَّ، وَعُتَاةً يَسْعَوْنَ إِلَى قَتْلِي، وَلَمْ يَجْعَلُوا اللهَ نُصْبَ أَعْيُنِهِمْ

because strangers are [trying to] attack me; proud men are wanting to kill me; men who do not have any (respect for/interest in) you.

٤ 4 هُوَذَا اللهُ مُعِينِي وَالسَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ عَاضِدِي.

But God is the one who helps me; Yahweh defends/protects me [from my enemies].

٥ 5 يَرُدُّ الشَّرَّ عَلَى أَعْدَائِي، وَبِحَقِّ (عَدْلِكَ) اسْتَأْصِلْهُمْ.

He will cause the evil things that they want to do to me to happen to them instead; because he faithfully [does what he promises], he will get rid of them.

٦ 6 طَوْعاً أَذْبَحُ لَكَ، وَأَحْمَدُ اسْمَكَ يَا رَبُّ لأَنَّهُ طَيِّبٌ.

Yahweh, I will gladly give an offering to you because I want to, and I will thank you [MTY], for you are good [to me];

٧ 7 فَإِنَّهُ نَجَّانِي مِنْ كُلِّ ضيِقٍ وَرَأَيْتُ بِعْيَنيَّ (مَا حَلَّ) بِأَعْدَائِي.

you have rescued me from all my troubles, and I have seen that you have defeated my enemies.
