المَزامِير 50

١ 1 مَزْمُورٌ لآسَافَ الرَّبُّ الإِلَهُ الْقَدِيرُ تَكَلَّمَ، وَدَعَا الأَرْضَ لِلْمُحَاكَمَةِ مِنْ مَشْرِقِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَى مَغْرِبِهَا.

The salm of Asaph. God, the Lord of goddis, spak; and clepide the erthe,

٢ 2 مِنْ صِهْيَوْنَ الْكَامِلَةِ الْجَمَالِ أَشْرَقَ مَجْدُ اللهِ.

fro the risynge of the sunne til to the goyng doun. The schap of his fairnesse fro Syon,

٣ 3 يَأْتِي إِلَهُنَا وَلَا يَصْمُتُ، تُحِيطُ بِهِ النَّارُ الآكِلَةُ وَالْعَوَاصِفُ الثَّائِرَةُ.

God schal come opynli; oure God, and he schal not be stille. Fier schal brenne an hiye in his siyt; and a strong tempest in his cumpas.

٤ 4 يُنَادِي السَّمَاوَاتِ مِنَ الْعُلَى، وَالأَرْضَ أَيْضاً مِنْ تَحْتُ لِكَيْ يَدِينَ شَعْبَهُ، قَائِلاً:

He clepide heuene aboue; and the erthe, to deme his puple.

٥ 5 «اجْمَعُوا إِلَيَّ أَتْقِيَائِي الَّذِينَ قَطَعُوا مَعِي عَهْداً عَلَى ذَبِيحَةٍ».

Gadere ye to hym hise seyntis; that ordeynen his testament aboue sacrifices.

٦ 6 فَتُذِيعُ السَّمَاوَاتُ عَدْلَهُ لأَنَّ اللهَ هُوَ الدَّيَّانُ.

`And heuenes schulen schewe his riytfulnesse; for God is the iuge.

٧ 7 اسْمَعْ يَا شَعْبِي فَأَتَكَلَّمَ. يَا إِسْرَائِيلُ إِنِّي أَشْهَدُ عَلَيْكَ: «أَنَا اللهُ إِلَهُكَ.

Mi puple, here thou, and Y schal speke to Israel; and Y schal witnesse to thee, Y am God, thi God.

٨ 8 لَسْتُ أُوَبِّخُكَ عَلَى ذَبَائِحِكَ فَإِنَّ مُحْرَقَاتِكَ هِيَ دَائِماً قُدَّامِي.

I schal not repreue thee in thi sacrifices; and thi brent sacrifices ben euere bifor me.

٩ 9 فَمَا كُنْتُ لِآخُذَ مِنْ بَيْتِكَ ثَوْراً وَلَا مِنْ حَظَائِرِكَ تَيْساً.

I schal not take calues of thin hows; nethir geet buckis of thi flockis.

١٠ 10 لأَنَّ جَمِيعَ حَيَوَانَاتِ الْغَابَةِ مِلْكِي، وَكَذَلِكَ الْبَهَائِمَ الْمُنْتَشِرَةَ عَلَى أُلُوفِ الْجِبَالِ.

For alle the wyelde beestis of wodis ben myne; werk beestis, and oxis in hillis.

١١ 11 أَنَا عَالِمٌ بِجَمِيعِ طُيُورِ الْجِبَالِ، وَكُلُّ مَخْلُوقَاتِ الْبَرَارِي هِيَ لِي.

I haue knowe alle the volatils of heuene; and the fairnesse of the feeld is with me.

١٢ 12 إِنْ جُعْتُ لَا أَلْتَمِسُ مِنْكَ حَاجَتِي لأَنَّ لِيَ الْمَسْكُونَةَ وَكُلَّ مَا فِيهَا.

If Y schal be hungry, Y schal not seie to thee; for the world and the fulnesse therof is myn.

١٣ 13 هَلْ آكُلُ لَحْمَ الثِّيرَانِ، أَوْ أَشْرَبُ دَمَ التُّيُوسِ؟

Whether Y schal eete the fleischis of boolis? ethir schal Y drynke the blood of geet buckis?

١٤ 14 قَدِّمْ لِلهِ ذَبَائِحَ الْحَمْدِ وَأَوْفِ الْعَلِيَّ عُهُودَكَ.

Offre thou to God the sacrifice of heriyng; and yelde thin avowis to the hiyeste God.

١٥ 15 ادْعُنِي فِي يَوْمِ ضِيقِكَ أُنْقِذْكَ فَتُمَجِّدَنِي».

And inwardli clepe thou me in the dai of tribulacioun; and Y schal delyuere thee, and thou schalt onoure me.

١٦ 16 وَقَالَ اللهُ لِلشِّرِّيرِ: «بِأَيِّ حَقٍّ تُحَدِّثُ بِأَحْكَامِي، وَلِمَاذَا تَتَكَلَّمُ عَنْ عَهْدِي،

But God seide to the synnere, Whi tellist thou out my riytfulnessis; and takist my testament bi thi mouth?

١٧ 17 وَأَنْتَ تَمْقُتُ التَّأْدِيبَ وَلَا تَكْتَرِثُ لِكَلامِي؟

Sotheli thou hatidist lore; and hast cast awey my wordis bihynde.

١٨ 18 تَرَى سَارِقاً فَتُوَافِقُهُ، وَمَعَ الزُّنَاةِ نَصِيبُكَ.

If thou siyest a theef, thou `hast runne with hym; and thou settidist thi part with avowtreris.

١٩ 19 أَطْلَقْتَ فَمَكَ بِالشَّرِّ وَلِسَانُكَ يَخْتَرِعُ غِشّاً.

Thi mouth was plenteuouse of malice; and thi tunge medlide togidere giles.

٢٠ 20 تَجْلِسُ تُشَهِّرُ بِأَخِيكَ، وَعَلَى ابْنِ أُمِّكَ تَفْتَرِي.

Thou sittynge spakist ayens thi brother, and thou settidist sclaundir ayens the sone of thi modir;

٢١ 21 هَذِهِ كُلَّهَا فَعَلْتَ وَأَنَا سَكَتُّ، فَظَنَنْتَ أَنِّي مِثْلُكَ. غَيْرَ أَنِّي أُوَبِّخُكَ وَأَصُفُّ إِثْمَكَ أَمَامَ عَيْنَيْكَ.

thou didist these thingis, and Y was stille. Thou gessidist wickidli, that Y schal be lijk thee; Y schal repreue thee, and Y schal sette ayens thi face.

٢٢ 22 وَالآنَ تَنَبَّهُوا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُونَ اللهَ، لِئَلّا أُمَزِّقَكُمْ وَلَيْسَ مَنْ يُنْقِذُكُمْ.

Ye that foryeten God, vndurstonde these thingis; lest sum tyme he rauysche, and noon be that schal delyuere.

٢٣ 23 أَمَّا مَنْ يُقَدِّمُ لِي ذَبِيحَةَ حَمْدٍ فَهُوَ يُمَجِّدُنِي، وَمَنْ يُقَوِّمُ طَرِيقَهُ أُرِيهِ خَلاصَ اللهِ».

The sacrifice of heriyng schal onoure me; and there is the weie, where ynne Y schal schewe to hym the helthe of God.
