المَزامِير 36

١ 1 لِقَائِدِ الْمُنْشِدِينَ، لِعَبْدِ الرَّبِّ دَاوُدَ يُنْبِئُنِي قَلْبِي فِي دَاخِلِي بِمَعْصِيَةِ الشِّرِّيرِ، الَّذِي لَا يَرْتَدِعُ خَوْفاً مِنَ اللهِ.

For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David the servant of the LORD. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes.

٢ 2 فَإِنَّهُ يَتَمَلَّقُ نَفْسَهُ (لِيُقْنِعَهَا) أَنَّ خَطِيئَتَهُ الْمَمْقُوتَةَ لَنْ تُكْتَشَفَ وَتُدَانَ.

For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, that his iniquity shall not be found out and be hated.

٣ 3 كَلامُ فَمِهِ إِثْمٌ وَنِفَاقٌ، وَقَدْ كَفَّ عَنِ التَّعَقُّلِ لأَجْلِ عَمَلِ الْخَيْرِ.

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise [and] to do good.

٤ 4 يَتَفَكَّرُ فِي الْبَاطِلِ عَلَى سَرِيرِه لَيْلاً. وَيَسْلُكُ فِي سَبِيلِ السُّوءِ لَا يَسْتَنْكِرُ الشَّرَّ.

He deviseth iniquity upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

٥ 5 يَا رَبُّ، إِنَّ رَحْمَتَكَ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ، وَأَمَانَتَكَ تَبْلُغُ الْغُيُومَ.

Thy lovingkindness, O LORD, is in the heavens; thy faithfulness [reacheth] unto the skies.

٦ 6 عَدْلُكَ ثَابِتٌ مِثْلُ الْجِبَالِ الشَّامِخَةِ، وَأَحْكَامُكَ كَالْعُمْقِ السَّحِيقِ. وَأَنْتَ يَا رَبُّ تَحْفَظُ النَّاسَ وَالْبَهَائِمَ جَمِيعاً.

Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

٧ 7 اللهُمَّ، مَا أَثْمَنَ رَحْمَتَكَ! فَإِنَّ بَنِي الْبَشَرِ يَحْتَمُونَ فِي ظِلِّ جَنَاحَيْكَ.

How precious is thy lovingkindness, O God! and the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.

٨ 8 يَرْتَوُونَ مِنْ خَيْرَاتِ بَيْتِكَ، وَمِنْ نَهْرِ نِعَمِكَ تَسْقِيهِمْ.

They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

٩ 9 لأَنَّ عِنْدَكَ نَبْعَ الْحَيَاةِ، وَبِنُورِكَ نَرَى النُّورَ.

For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

١٠ 10 أَدِمْ رَحْمَتَكَ لِعَارِفيِكَ، وَعَدْلَكَ لِذَوِي الْقُلُوبِ الْمُسْتَقِيمَةِ.

O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

١١ 11 لَا تَدَعْ قَدَمَ الْمُتَكَبِّرِ تَبْلُغُنِي، وَيَدَ الأَشْرَارِ تُزَحْزِحُنِي.

Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.

١٢ 12 هُنَاكَ سَقَطَ فَاعِلُو الإِثْمِ، طُرِحُوا، عَجَزُوا عَنِ النُّهُوضِ.

There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.
