المَزامِير 34

١ 1 لِدَاوُدَ عِنْدَمَا ادَّعَى الْجُنُونَ أَمَامَ أَبِيمَالِكَ، فَصَرَفَهُ عَنْهُ، فَمَضَى آمِناً. أُبَارِكُ الرَّبَّ فِي كُلِّ حِينٍ. تَسْبِيحُهُ دَائِماً فِي فَمِي.

To Dauid, whanne he chaungide his mouth bifor Abymalech, and he `droof out Dauid, `and he yede forth. I schal blesse the Lord in al tyme; euere his heriyng is in my mouth.

٢ 2 تَفْتَخِرُ نَفْسِي بِالرَّبِّ، فَيَسْمَعُنِي الْوُدَعَاءُ وَيَفْرَحُونَ.

Mi soule schal be preisid in the Lord; mylde men here, and be glad.

٣ 3 مَجِّدُوا الرَّبَّ مَعِي، وَلْنُعَظِّمِ اسْمَهُ مَعاً.

Magnyfie ye the Lord with me; and enhaunse we his name into it silf.

٤ 4 الْتَمَسْتُ الرَّبَّ فَأَجَابَنِي، وأَنْقَذَنِي مِنْ كُلِّ مَخَاوِفِي.

I souyte the Lord, and he herde me; and he delyueride me fro alle my tribulaciouns.

٥ 5 الَّذِينَ تَطَلَّعُوا إِلَيْهِ اسْتَنَارُوا، وَلَمْ تَخْجَلْ وُجُوهُهُمْ قَطُّ.

Neiye ye to him, and be ye liytned; and youre faces schulen not be schent.

٦ 6 هَذَا الْمِسْكِينُ اسْتَغَاثَ، فَسَمِعَهُ الرَّبُّ وَأَنْقَذَهُ مِنْ جَمِيعِ ضِيقَاتِهِ.

This pore man criede, and the Lord herde hym; and sauyde hym fro alle hise tribulaciouns.

٧ 7 مَلاكُ الرَّبِّ يُخَيِّمُ حَوْلَ خَائِفِيهِ، وَيُنَجِّيهِمْ.

The aungel of the Lord sendith in the cumpas of men dredynge hym; and he schal delyuere hem.

٨ 8 ذُوقُوا وَانْظُرُوا مَا أَطْيَبَ الرَّبَّ. طُوبَى لِلرَّجُلِ الْمُتَوَكِّلِ عَلَيْهِ.

Taaste ye, and se, for the Lord is swete; blessid is the man, that hopith in hym.

٩ 9 اتَّقُوا الرَّبَّ يَا قِدِّيسِيهِ، لأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَوَزٌ لِمُتَّقِيهِ.

Alle ye hooli men of the Lord, drede hym; for no nedynesse is to men dredynge hym.

١٠ 10 تَحْتَاجُ الأَشْبَالُ وَتَجُوعُ، وَأَمَّا طَالِبُو الرَّبِّ فَلَا يُعْوِزُهُمْ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ.

Riche men weren nedi, and weren hungri; but men that seken the Lord schulen not faile of al good.

١١ 11 تَعَالَوْا أَيُّهَا الْبَنُونَ وَأَصْغُوا إِلَيَّ، فَأُعَلِّمَكُمْ مَخَافَةَ الرَّبِّ.

Come, ye sones, here ye me; Y schal teche you the drede of the Lord.

١٢ 12 فَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَتَمَتَّعَ بِحَيَاةٍ سَعِيدَةٍ وَأَيَّامٍ طَيِّبَةٍ،

Who is a man, that wole lijf; loueth to se good daies?

١٣ 13 فَلْيَمْنَعْ لِسَانَهُ عَنِ الشَّرِّ وَشَفَتَيْهِ عَنْ كَلامِ الْغِشِّ

Forbede thi tunge fro yuel; and thi lippis speke not gile.

١٤ 14 لِيَتَحَوَّلْ عَنِ الشَّرِّ وَيَفْعَلِ الْخَيْرَ. لِيَطْلُبِ السَّلامَ وَيَسْعَ لِلْوُصُولِ إِلَيْهِ

Turne thou awei fro yuel, and do good; seke thou pees, and perfitli sue thou it.

١٥ 15 لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ يَرْعَى الأَبْرَارَ بِعِنَايَتِهِ وَيَسْتَجِيبُ إِلَى دُعَائِهِمْ.

The iyen of the Lord ben on iust men; and hise eeren ben to her preiers.

١٦ 16 وَلَكِنْ يَقِفُ ضِدَّ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ الشَّرَّ لِيَسْتَأْصِلَ مِنَ الأَرْضِ ذِكْرَهُمْ.

But the cheer of the Lord is on men doynge yuels; that he leese the mynde of hem fro erthe.

١٧ 17 يَسْتَغِيثُ الأَبْرَارُ، فَيَسْمَعُ لَهُمُ الرَّبُّ وَيُنْقِذُهُمْ مِنْ جَمِيعِ ضِيقَاتِهِمْ.

Just men cryeden, and the Lord herde hem; and delyueride hem fro alle her tribulaciouns.

١٨ 18 الرَّبُّ قَرِيبٌ مِنْ مُنْكَسِرِي الْقَلْبِ، وَيُخَلِّصُ مُنْسَحِقِي الرُّوحِ.

The Lord is nyy hem that ben of troblid herte; and he schal saue meke men in spirit.

١٩ 19 مَا أَكْثَرَ مَصَائِبَ الصِّدِّيقِ، وَلَكِنْ مِنْ جَمِيعِهَا يُنْقِذُهُ الرَّبُّ.

Many tribulaciouns ben of iust men; and the Lord schal delyuere hem fro alle these.

٢٠ 20 يَحْفَظُ عِظَامَهُ كُلَّهَا، فَلَا تُكْسَرُ وَاحِدَةٌ مِنْهَا.

The Lord kepith alle the boonys of hem; oon of tho schal not be brokun.

٢١ 21 الشَّرُّ يُمِيتُ الشِّرِّيرَ، وَالَّذِينَ يُبْغِضُونَ الصِّدِّيقَ يُعَاقَبُونَ.

The deth of synneris is werst; and thei that haten a iust man schulen trespasse.

٢٢ 22 الرَّبُّ يَفْدِي نُفُوسَ عَبِيدِهِ، وَكُلُّ مَنِ اعْتَصَمَ بِهِ يَنْجُو.

The Lord schal ayenbie the soulis of hise seruauntis; and alle, that hopen in him, schulen not trespasse.
