المَزامِير 33

١ 1 سَبِّحُوا الرَّبَّ أَيُّهَا الأَبْرَارُ، فَإِنَّ الْحَمْدَ يَلِيقُ بِالْمُسْتَقِيمِينَ.

Rejoice in Yahweh, you righteous; praise is appropriate for the upright.

٢ 2 اشْكُرُوا الرَّبَّ عَلَى الْعُودِ، رَنِّمُوا لَهُ بِرَبَابَةٍ ذَاتِ عَشَرَةِ أَوْتَارٍ.

Give thanks to Yahweh with the harp; sing praises to him with the harp of ten strings.

٣ 3 اعْزِفُوا أَمْهَرَ عَزْفٍ مَعَ الْهُتَافِ، رَنِّمُوا لَهُ تَرْنِيمَةً جَدِيدَةً.

Sing to him a new song; play skillfully and sing with joy.

٤ 4 فَإِنَّ كَلِمَةَ الرَّبِّ مُسْتَقِيمَةٌ وَهُوَ يَصْنَعُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِالأَمَانَةِ.

For Yahweh's word is upright, and everything he does is fair.

٥ 5 يُحِبُّ الْبِرَّ وَالْعَدْلَ. وَرَحْمَتُهُ تَغْمُرُ الأَرْضَ.

He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of Yahweh's covenant faithfulness.

٦ 6 بِكَلِمَةٍ مِنَ الرَّبِّ صُنِعَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَبِنَسْمَةِ فَمِهِ كُلُّ مَجْمُوعَاتِ الْكَوَاكِبِ.

By the word of Yahweh the heavens were made, and all the stars were made by the breath of his mouth.

٧ 7 يَجْمَعُ الْبِحَارَ كَكَوْمَةٍ وَالْلُّجَجَ فِي أَهْرَاءٍ.

He gathers the waters of the sea together like a heap; he puts the oceans in storehouses.

٨ 8 لِتَخَفِ الرَّبَّ الأَرْضُ كُلُّهَا، وَلْيُوَقِّرْهُ جَمِيعُ سُكَّانِ الْعَالَمِ.

Let the whole earth fear Yahweh; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

٩ 9 قَالَ كَلِمَةً فَكَانَ. وَأَمَرَ فَصَارَ!

For he spoke, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood in place.

١٠ 10 الرَّبُّ أَحْبَطَ مُؤَامَرَةَ الأُمَمِ. أَبْطَلَ أَفْكَارَ الشُّعُوبِ.

Yahweh frustrates the alliances of nations; he overrules the plans of the peoples.

١١ 11 أَمَّا مَقَاصِدُ الرَّبِّ فَتَثْبُتُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ، وَأَفْكَارُ قَلْبِهِ تَدُومُ مَدَى الدُّهُورِ.

The plans of Yahweh stand forever, the plans of his heart for all generations.

١٢ 12 طُوبَى لِلأُمَّةِ الَّتِي الرَّبُّ إِلَهُهَا، وَلِلشَّعْبِ الَّذِي اخْتَارَهُ مِيرَاثاً لَهُ:

Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen as his own inheritance.

١٣ 13 يَنْظُرُ الرَّبُّ مِنَ السَّماوَاتِ فَيَرَى بَنِي الْبَشَرِ أَجْمَعِينَ.

Yahweh looks from heaven; he sees all the people.

١٤ 14 وَمِنْ مَقَامِ سُكْنَاهُ يُرَاقِبُ جَمِيعَ سُكَّانِ الأَرْضِ.

From the place where he lives, he looks down on all who live on the earth.

١٥ 15 فَهُوَ جَابِلُ قُلُوبِهِمْ جَمِيعاً وَالْعَلِيمُ بِكُلِّ أَعْمَالِهِمْ.

He who shapes the hearts of them all observes all their deeds.

١٦ 16 لَا يَخْلُصُ الْمَلِكُ بِالْجَيْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، وَلَا الْجَبَّارُ بِشِدَّةِ الْقُوَّةِ.

No king is saved by a vast army; a warrior is not saved by his great strength.

١٧ 17 بَاطِلاً يَرْجُو النَّصْرَ مَنْ يَتَّكِلُ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ، فَإِنَّهَا لَا تُنَجِّي رَغْمَ قُوَّتِهَا.

A horse is a false hope for victory; in spite of his great strength, he cannot rescue.

١٨ 18 هُوَذَا عَيْنُ الرَّبِّ عَلَى خَائِفِيهِ، الْمُتَّكِلِينَ عَلَى رَحْمَتِهِ،

See, Yahweh's eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his covenant faithfulness

١٩ 19 لِيُنْقِذَ نُفُوسَهُمْ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ وَيَسْتَحْيِيَهُمْ فِي الْمَجَاعَةِ.

to deliver their lives from death and to keep them alive in times of famine.

٢٠ 20 أَنْفُسُنَا تَنَتَظِرُ الرَّبَّ. عَوْنُنَا وَتُرْسُنَا هُوَ.

We wait for Yahweh; he is our help and our shield.

٢١ 21 بِهِ تَفْرَحُ قُلُوبُنَا، لأَنَّنَا عَلَى اسْمِهِ الْقُدُّوسِ تَوَكَّلْنَا.

Our hearts rejoice in him, for we trust in his holy name.

٢٢ 22 لِتَكُنْ يَا رَبُّ رَحْمَتُكَ عَلَيْنَا بِمُقْتَضَى رَجَائِنَا فِيكَ.

Let your covenant faithfulness, Yahweh, be with us as we put our hope in you.
