المَزامِير 2

١ 1 لِمَاذَا ضَجَّتِ الأُمَمُ؟ وَلِمَاذَا تَتَآمَرُ الشُّعُوبُ بَاطِلاً

Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?

٢ 2 اجْتَمَعَ مُلُوكُ الأَرْضِ وَرُؤَسَاؤُهَا، وَتَحَالَفُوا لِيُقَاوِمُوا الرَّبَّ وَمَسِيحَهُ، قَائِلِينَ:

The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together, against the LORD and against His Anointed One:

٣ 3 «لِنُحَطِّمْ عَنَّا قُيُودَهُمَا، وَنَتَحَرَّرْ مِنْ نِيرِ عُبُودِيَّتِهِمَا».

“Let us break Their chains and cast away Their cords.”

٤ 4 لَكِنَّ الْجَالِسَ عَلَى عَرْشِهِ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ يَضْحَكُ. الرَّبُّ يَسْتَهْزِئُ بِهِمْ.

The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord taunts them.

٥ 5 عِنْدَئِذٍ يُنْذِرُهُمْ فِي حُمُوِّ غَضَبِهِ، وَيُرَوِّعُهُمْ بِشِدَّةِ سَخَطِهِ،

Then He rebukes them in His anger, and terrifies them in His fury:

٦ 6 قَائِلاً: «أَمَّا أَنَا فَقَدْ مَسَحْتُ مَلِكِي، وَأَجْلَسْتُهُ عَلَى صِهْيَوْنَ، جَبَلِي الْمُقَدَّسِ».

“I have installed My King on Zion, upon My holy mountain.”

٧ 7 وَهَا أَنَا أُعْلِنُ مَا قَضَى بِهِ الرَّبُّ: قَالَ لِيَ الرَّبُّ: «أَنْتَ ابْنِي، أَنَا اليَوْمَ وَلَدْتُكَ.

I will proclaim the decree spoken to Me by the LORD: “You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.

٨ 8 اطْلُبْ مِنِّي فَأُعْطِيَكَ الأُمَمَ مِيرَاثاً، وَأَقَاصِيَ الأَرْضِ مُلْكاً لَكَ.

Ask Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance, the ends of the earth Your possession.

٩ 9 فَتُكَسِّرَهُمْ بِقَضِيبٍ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ، وَتُحَطِّمَهُمْ كَآنِيَةِ الْفَخَّارِ».

You will break them with an iron scepter; You will shatter them like pottery.”

١٠ 10 وَالآنَ تَعَقَّلُوا أَيُّهَا الْمُلُوكُ، وَاحْذَرُوا يَا حُكَّامَ الأَرْضِ.

Therefore be wise, O kings; be admonished, O judges of the earth.

١١ 11 اعْبُدُوا الرَّبَّ بِخَوْفٍ، وَابْتَهِجُوا بِرِعْدَةٍ.

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

١٢ 12 قَبِّلُوا الابْنَ لِئَلّا يَغْضَبَ، فَتَهْلِكُوا فِي الطَّرِيقِ، لِئَلّا يَتَوَهَّجَ غَضَبُهُ سَرِيعاً. طُوبَى لِجَمِيعِ الْمُتَّكِلِينَ عَلَيْهِ.

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry and you perish in your rebellion, when His wrath ignites in an instant. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.
