المَزامِير 18

١ 1 لِقَائِدِ الْمُنْشِدِينَ. لِعَبْدِ الرَّبِّ دَاوُدَ. قَصِيدَةٌ خَاطَبَ بِها الرَّبَّ يَوْمَ أَنْقَذَهُ مِنْ قَبْضَةِ كُلِّ أَعْدَائِهِ وَمِنْ يَدِ شَاوُلَ. فَقَالَ: أُحِبُّكَ يَا رَبُّ، يَا قُوَّتِي.

For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David the servant of Jehovah, who spake unto Jehovah the words of this song in the day that Jehovah delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: and he said, I love thee, O Jehovah, my strength.

٢ 2 الرَّبُّ صَخْرَتِي وَحِصْنِي وَمُنْقِذِي. إِلَهِي صَخْرَتِي بِهِ أَحْتَمِي. تُرْسِي وَرُكْنُ خَلاصِي، وَقَلْعَتِي الْحَصِينَةُ.

Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

٣ 3 أَدْعُو الرَّبَّ الْجَدِيرَ بِكُلِّ حَمْدٍ فَيُخَلِّصُنِي مِنْ أَعْدَائِي.

I will call upon Jehovah, who is worthy to be praised: So shall I be saved from mine enemies.

٤ 4 قَدْ أَحْدَقَتْ بِي حِبَالُ الْمَوْتِ، وَأَفْزَعَتْنِي سُيُولُ الْهَلاكِ.

The cords of death compassed me, And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.

٥ 5 أَحَاطَتْ بِي حِبَالُ الْهَاوِيَةِ، وَأَطْبَقَتْ عَلَيَّ فِخَاخُ الْمَوْتِ. (Sheol h7585)

The cords of Sheol were round about me; The snares of death came upon me. (Sheol h7585)

٦ 6 فِي ضِيقِي دَعَوْتُ الرَّبَّ وَصَرَخْتُ إِلَى إِلَهِي، فَسَمِعَ صَوْتِي مِنْ هَيْكَلِهِ، وَصَعِدَ صُرَاخِي أَمَامَهُ، بَلْ دَخَلَ أُذُنَيْهِ.

In my distress I called upon Jehovah, And cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of his temple, And my cry before him came into his ears.

٧ 7 عِنْدَئِذٍ ارْتَجَّتِ الأَرْضُ وَتَزَلْزَلَتْ. ارْتَجَفَتْ أَسَاسَاتُ الْجِبَالِ وَاهْتَزَّتْ، لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ غَضِبَ.

Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations also of the mountains quaked And were shaken, because he was wroth.

٨ 8 نَفَثَ أَنْفُهُ دُخَاناً، وَانْقَذَفَتْ نَارٌ آكِلَةٌ مِنْ فَمِهِ، وَكَأَنَّهَا جَمْرٌ مُلْتَهِبٌ.

There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, And fire out of his mouth devoured: Coals were kindled by it.

٩ 9 طَأْطَأَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَنَزَلَ، فَكَانَتِ الْغُيُومُ الْمُتَجَهِّمَةُ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيْهِ.

He bowed the heavens also, and came down; And thick darkness was under his feet.

١٠ 10 امْتَطَى مَرْكَبَةً مِنْ مَلائِكَةِ الْكَرُوبِيمِ، وَطَارَ مُسْرِعاً عَلَى أَجْنِحَةِ الرِّيْاحِ.

And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly; Yea, he soared upon the wings of the wind.

١١ 11 جَعَلَ الظُّلْمَةَ سِتَاراً لَهُ، وَصَارَ ضَبَابُ الْمِيَاهِ وَسُحُبُ الْسَّمَاءِ الدَّاكِنَةُ مِظَلَّتَهُ الْمُحِيطَةَ بِهِ.

He made darkness his hiding-place, his pavilion round about him, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

١٢ 12 مِنْ بَهَاءِ طَلْعَتِهِ عَبَرَتِ السُّحُبُ أَمَامَهُ. حَدَثَتْ عَاصِفَةُ بَرَدٍ وَبَرْقٍ كَالْجَمْرِ الْمُلْتَهِبِ.

At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, Hailstones and coals of fire.

١٣ 13 أَرْعَدَ الرَّبُّ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ، أَطْلَقَ الْعَلِيُّ صَوْتَهُ فَانْهَمَرَ بَرَدٌ، وَانْدَلَعَتْ نَارُ!

Jehovah also thundered in the heavens, And the Most High uttered his voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.

١٤ 14 أَطْلَقَ سِهَامَهُ فَبَدَّدَ أَعْدَائِي، وَأَرْسَلَ بُرُوقَهُ فَأَزْعَجَهُمْ.

And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; Yea, lightnings manifold, and discomfited them.

١٥ 15 ظَهَرَتْ مَجَارِي الْمِيَاهِ الْعَمِيقَةِ، وَانْكَشَفَتْ أُسُسُ الْمَسْكُونَةِ مِنْ زَجْرِكَ يَا رَبُّ، وَمِنْ أَنْفِكَ اللّافِحَةِ.

Then the channels of waters appeared, And the foundations of the world were laid bare, At thy rebuke, O Jehovah, At the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.

١٦ 16 مَدَّ الرَّبُّ يَدَهُ مِنَ الْعُلَى وَأَمْسَكَنِي، وَانْتَشَلَنِي مِنَ السُّيُولِ الْغَامِرَةِ.

He sent from on high, he took me; He drew me out of many waters.

١٧ 17 أَنْقَذَنِي مِنْ عَدُوِّي الْقَويِّ، وَمِنَ مُبْغِضِيَّ، لأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا أَقْوَى مِنِّي.

He delivered me from my strong enemy, And from them that hated me; for they were too mighty for me.

١٨ 18 تَصَدَّوْا لِي فِي يَوْمِ بَلِيَّتِي، فَكَانَ الرَّبُّ سَنَدِي،

They came upon me in the day of my calamity; But Jehovah was my stay.

١٩ 19 وَاقْتَادَنِي إِلَى مَكَانٍ رَحِيبٍ. أَنْقَذَنِي لأَنَّهُ سُرَّ بِي.

He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because he delighted in me.

٢٠ 20 يُكَافِئُنِي الرَّبُّ بِمُقْتَضَى بِرِّي وَيُعَوِّضُنِي حَسَبَ طَهَارَةِ يَدَيَّ،

Jehovah hath rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

٢١ 21 لأَنِّي سَلَكْتُ دَائِماً فِي طُرُقِ الرَّبِّ وَلَمْ أَعْصَ إِلَهِي.

For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not wickedly departed from my God.

٢٢ 22 جَعَلْتُ أَحْكَامَهُ دَائِماً نُصْبَ عَيْنَيَّ، وَلَمْ أَحِدْ عَنْ فَرَائِضِهِ.

For all his ordinances were before me, And I put not away his statutes from me.

٢٣ 23 وَأَكُونُ مَعَهُ كَامِلاً وَأَصُونُ نَفْسِي مِنْ إِثْمِي.

I was also perfect with him, And I kept myself from mine iniquity.

٢٤ 24 فَيُكَافِئُنِي الرَّبُّ وَفْقاً لِبِرِّي، بِحَسَبِ طَهَارَةِ يَدَيَّ أَمَامَ عَيْنَيْهِ.

Therefore hath Jehovah recompensed me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

٢٥ 25 مَعَ الرَّحِيمِ تَكُونُ رَحِيماً، وَمَعَ الْكَامِلِ تَكُونُ كَامِلاً،

With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful; With the perfect man thou wilt show thyself perfect;

٢٦ 26 وَمَعَ الطَّاهِرِ تَكُونُ طَاهِراً، وَمَعَ الْمُعْوَجِّ تَكُونُ مُعْوَجّاً.

With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure; And with the perverse thou wilt show thyself froward.

٢٧ 27 لأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ تُخَلِّصُ الشَّعْبَ الْمُتَضَايِقَ، أَمَّا الْمُتَرَفِّعُونَ فَتَخْفِضُ عُيُونَهُمْ.

For thou wilt save the afflicted people; But the haughty eyes thou wilt bring down.

٢٨ 28 لأَنَّكَ أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ إِلَهِي تَضِيءُ مِصْبَاحِي، وَتُحَوِّلُ ظَلامِي نُوراً

For thou wilt light my lamp: Jehovah my God will lighten my darkness.

٢٩ 29 لأَنِّي بِكَ اقْتَحَمْتُ جَيْشاً، وَبِمَعُونَةِ إِلَهِي اخْتَرَقْتُ أَسْوَاراً.

For by thee I run upon a troop; And by my God do I leap over a wall.

٣٠ 30 مَا أَكْمَلَ طَرِيقَ الرَّبِّ! إِنَّ كَلِمَتَهُ نَقِيَّةٌ، وَهُوَ تُرْسٌ يَحْمِي جَمِيعَ الْمُلْتَجِئِينَ إِلَيْهِ.

As for God, his way is perfect: The word of Jehovah is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in him.

٣١ 31 فَمَنْ هُوَ إِلْهٌ غَيْرُ الرَّبِّ؟ وَمَنْ هُوَ صَخْرَةٌ سِوَى إِلَهِنَا؟

For who is God, save Jehovah? And who is a rock, besides our God,

٣٢ 32 يَشُدُّنِي اللهُ بِحِزامٍ مِنَ الْقُوَّةِ، وَيَجْعَلُ طَرِيقِي كَامِلاً،

The God that girdeth me with strength, And maketh my way perfect?

٣٣ 33 يُثَبِّتُ قَدَمَيَّ كَأَقْدَامِ الإيَّلِ وَيُصْعِدُنِي عَلَى مُرْتَفَعَاتِي الْوَعِرَةِ.

He maketh my feet like hinds’ [feet]: And setteth me upon my high places.

٣٤ 34 يُدَرِّبُ يَدَيَّ عَلَى فَنِّ الْحَرْبِ، فَتَشُدُّ ذِرَاعَايَ قَوْساً مِنْ نُحَاسٍ.

He teacheth my hands to war; So that mine arms do bend a bow of brass.

٣٥ 35 تَجْعَلُ أَيْضاً خَلاصَكَ تُرْساً لِي، فَتُعَضِّدُنِي بِيَمِينِكَ، وَيُعَظِّمُنِي لُطْفُكَ.

Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation; And thy right hand hath holden me up, And thy gentleness hath made me great.

٣٦ 36 وَسَّعْتَ طَرِيقِي تَحْتَ قَدَمَيَّ، فَلَمْ تَتَقَلْقَلْ عَقِبَايَ.

Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, And my feet have not slipped.

٣٧ 37 أُطَارِدُ أَعْدَائِي فَأُدْرِكُهُمْ، وَلَا أَرْجِعُ حَتَّى أُبِيدَهُمْ.

I will pursue mine enemies, and overtake them; Neither will I turn again till they are consumed.

٣٨ 38 أَسْحَقُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ النُّهُوضَ. يَسْقُطُونَ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيَّ.

I will smite them through, so that they shall not be able to rise: They shall fall under my feet.

٣٩ 39 تُمَنْطِقُنِي بِحِزَامٍ مِنَ الْقُوَّةِ تَأَهُّباً لِلْقِتَالِ. تُخْضِعُ لِسُلْطَانِي الْمُتَمَرِّدِينَ عَلَيَّ.

For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.

٤٠ 40 يُوَلُّونَ الأَدْبَارَ هَرَباً أَمَامِي. وَأُفْنِي الَّذِينَ يُبْغِضُونَنِي.

Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me, That I might cut off them that hate me.

٤١ 41 يَسْتَغِيثُونَ وَلَا مُخَلِّصَ. يُنَادُونَ الرَّبَّ فَلَا يَسْتَجِيبُ لَهُمْ.

They cried, but there was none to save; Even unto Jehovah, but he answered them not.

٤٢ 42 فَأَسْحَقُهُمْ كَالْغُبَارِ فِي مَهَبِّ الرِّيحِ، وَأَطْرَحُهُمْ مِثْلَ الطِّينِ فِي الشَّوَارِعِ.

Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I did cast them out as the mire of the streets.

٤٣ 43 تُنْقِذُنِي مِنْ ثَوْرَاتِ الشَّعْبِ، وَتَجْعَلُنِي سَيِّداً لِلأُمَمِ، حَتَّى صَارَ شَعْبٌ لَمْ أَكُنْ أَعْرِفُهُ عَبْداً يَخْدِمُنِي.

Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; Thou hast made me the head of the nations: A people whom I have not known shall serve me.

٤٤ 44 فَمَا إِنْ يَسْمَعُوا أَمْرِي حَتَّى يُلَبُّوهُ. الْغُرَبَاءُ يَتَذَلَّلُونَ لِي

As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me; The foreigners shall submit themselves unto me.

٤٥ 45 الْغُرَبَاءُ يَخُورُونَ، يَخْرُجُونَ مِنْ حُصُونِهِمْ مُرْتَعِدِينَ.

The foreigners shall fade away, And shall come trembling out of their close places.

٤٦ 46 حَيٌّ هُوَ الرَّبُّ، وَمُبَارَكٌ صَخْرَتِي، وَمُتَعَالٍ إِلَهُ خَلاصِي،

Jehovah liveth; and blessed be my rock; And exalted be the God of my salvation,

٤٧ 47 الإِلَهُ الْمُنْتَقِمُ لِي، يُخْضِعُ الشُّعُوبَ لِسُلْطَانِي،

Even the God that executeth vengeance for me, And subdueth peoples under me.

٤٨ 48 مُنْقِذِي مِنْ أَعْدَائِي، رَافِعِي عَلَى الْمُتَمَرِّدِينَ عَلَيَّ، وَمِنَ الرَّجُلِ الطَّاغِي تُخَلِّصُنِي.

He rescueth me from mine enemies; Yea, thou liftest me up above them that rise up against me; Thou deliverest me from the violent man.

٤٩ 49 لِهَذَا أَعْتَرِفُ لَكَ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ وَأُرَتِّلُ لاِسْمِكَ.

Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah, among the nations, And will sing praises unto thy name.

٥٠ 50 يَا مَانِحَ الْخَلاصِ الْعَظِيمِ لِمَلِكِهِ، وَصَانِعَ الرَّحْمَةِ لِمَسِيحِهِ، لِدَاوُدَ وَنَسْلِهِ إِلَى الأَبَدِ.

Great deliverance giveth he to his king, And showeth lovingkindness to his anointed, To David and to his seed, for evermore.
