مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ يَا رَبُّ مَنْ يُقِيمُ فِي مَسْكَنِكَ؟ وَمَنْ يَأْوِي إِلَى جَبَلِكَ الْمُقَدَّسِ؟ | ١ 1 |
A psalm of David. Lord, who can be guest in your tent? Who may live on your holy mountain?
السَّالِكُ بِالاسْتِقَامَةِ، الصَّانِعُ الْبِرَّ، والصَّادِقُ الْقَلْبِ. | ٢ 2 |
The person whose walk is blameless, whose conduct is right, whose words are true and sincere;
الَّذِي لَا يُشَوِّهُ سُمْعَةَ الآخَرِينَ، وَلَا يُسِيءُ إِلَى صَاحِبِهِ، وَلَا يُلْحِقُ بِقَرِيبِهِ عَاراً. | ٣ 3 |
on whose tongue there sits no slander, who will not harm a friend,
يَحْتَقِرُ الأَرَاذِلَ وَيُكْرِمُ خَائِفِي الرَّبِّ. لَا يَنْقُضُ حَلْفَهُ وَلَوْ فِيهِ أَذىً لَهُ. | ٤ 4 |
nor cruelly insult a neighbor, who regards with contempt those rejected by God; but honors those who obey the Lord, who keeps an oath, whatever the cost,
لَا يَسْتَثْمِرُ مَالَهُ بِالرِّبَا، وَلَا يَقْبِضُ رِشْوَةً لِلإِيقَاعِ بِالْبَرِيءِ. الَّذِي يَصْنَعُ هَذَا لَا يَتَزَعْزَعُ أَبَداً. | ٥ 5 |
whose money is lent without interest, and never takes a bribe to hurt the innocent. The person who does these things will always stand firm.
