المَزامِير 130

١ 1 تَرْنِيمَةُ الْمَصَاعِدِ أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ إِيَّاكَ أَدْعُو مِنَ الأَعْمَاقِ.

Yahweh, I have a lot of troubles/many difficulties, so I call out to you.

٢ 2 فَاسْمَعْ يَا رَبُّ صَوْتِي، وَلْتَكُنْ أُذُنَاكَ مُرْهَفَتَيْنِ إِلَى صَوْتِ تَضَرُّعِي.

Yahweh, hear me, while I call out to you [SYN] to be merciful to me!

٣ 3 إِنْ كُنْتَ يَا رَبُّ تَتَرَصَّدُ الآثَامَ، فَمَنْ يَسْتَطِيعُ الْوُقُوفَ فِي مَحْضَرِكَ؟

Yahweh, if you kept a record of the sins [that we have committed], not one [of us] [RHQ] would escape from being condemned [and punished]

٤ 4 وَلأَنَّكَ مَصْدَرُ الْغُفْرَانِ فَإِنَّ جَمِيعَ النَّاسِ يَهَابُونَكَ.

But you forgive us, with the result that we greatly revere you.

٥ 5 انْتَظَرْتُكَ يَا رَبُّ. نَفْسِي تَنْتَظِرُكَ، وَفِي كَلِمَتِكَ رَجَائِي.

Yahweh has said [that he would help/rescue me]; I trust what he said, and I wait eagerly for him to do that.

٦ 6 نَفْسِي تَنْتَظِرُ الرَّبَّ بِلَهْفَةٍ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ لَهْفَةِ الْحُرَّاسِ مُتَرَقِّبِي الصُّبْحِ.

I wait for Yahweh [to help me] more than watchmen wait for the light to dawn; yes, I wait more eagerly than they do!

٧ 7 لِيَتَرَجَّ إِسْرَائِيلُ الرَّبَّ، لأَنَّ مِنْهُ الرَّحْمَةَ وَالْفِدَاءَ الْكَثِيرَ.

You [my fellow] Israelis, confidently expect that Yahweh [will bless us]. [He will bless us] because he faithfully loves [us], and he is very willing to save/rescue [us].

٨ 8 وَهُوَ يَفْدِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنْ جَمِيعِ آثَامِهِ.

And he will save us Israeli [people] from [being punished for] all the sins that [we] have committed.
