< المَزامِير 118 >

اشْكُرُوا الرَّبَّ لأَنَّهُ صَالِحٌ، وَرَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. ١ 1
Give thanks to the Lord for his goodness, his kindness endures forever.
لِيَقُلْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ: إِنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. ٢ 2
Let the house of Israel now say: his kindness endures forever.
لِيَقُلْ بَيْتُ هَرُونَ: إِنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. ٣ 3
Let the house of Aaron now say: his kindness endures forever.
لِيَقُلْ خَائِفُو الرَّبِّ: إِنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. ٤ 4
Let those who fear the Lord now say: his kindness endures forever.
دَعَوْتُ الرَّبَّ فِي الضِّيقِ فَأَجَابَنِي وَفَرَّجَ عَنِّي. ٥ 5
Out of straits I called on the Lord, the Lord answered and gave me room.
الرَّبُّ مَعِي فَلَا أَخَافُ. مَاذَا يَصْنَعُ بِي الْبَشَرُ؟ ٦ 6
The Lord is mine; I am fearless. What can mere people do to me?
الرَّبُّ مَعِي. هُوَ مُعِينٌ لِي. سَأَرَى هَزِيمَةَ أَعْدَائِي. ٧ 7
The Lord is mine, as my help: I shall feast my eyes on my foes.
اللُّجُوءُ إِلَى الرَّبِّ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الاعْتِمَادِ عَلَى الْبَشَرِ. ٨ 8
It is better to hide in the Lord than to trust in mortals.
اللُّجُوءُ إِلَى الرَّبِّ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الاعْتِمَادِ عَلَى الْعُظَمَاءِ. ٩ 9
It is better to hide in the Lord than to put any trust in princes.
حَاصَرَتْنِي جَمِيعُ الأُمَمِ، لَكِنِّي بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ أُبِيدُهُمْ. ١٠ 10
Everywhere heathen swarmed round me; in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
حَاصَرُونِي وَضَيَّقُوا عَلَيَّ، لَكِنِّي بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ أُبِيدُهُمْ. ١١ 11
They swarmed, swarmed around me; in the name of the Lord I cut them down,
حَاصَرُونِي كَالنَّحْلِ، (اشْتَعَلُوا) ثُمَّ انْطَفَأُوا كَنَارِ الشَّوْكِ. بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ أُبِيدُهُمْ. ١٢ 12
they swarmed around me like bees, they blazed like a fire of thorns: in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
دُفِعْتُ بِعُنْفٍ كَيْ أَسْقُطَ، لَكِنَّ الرَّبَّ عَضَدَنِي. ١٣ 13
Sore they pushed me, to make me fall; but the Lord gave me his help.
الرَّبُّ قُوَّتِي وَتَرْنِيمِي وَقَدْ صَارَ لِي خَلاصاً. ١٤ 14
The Lord is my strength and my song, and he is become my salvation.
صَوْتُ هُتَافِ النَّصْرِ وَالْخَلاصِ فِي مَسَاكِنِ الأَبْرَارِ. يَمِينُ الرَّبِّ مُقْتَدِرَةٌ فِي فِعْلِهَا. ١٥ 15
Hark! In the tents of the righteous glad cries of victory are ringing. The hand of the Lord has wrought bravely,
يَمِينُ الرَّبِّ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ. يَمِينُ الرَّبِّ مُقْتَدِرَةٌ فِي فِعْلِهَا. ١٦ 16
the hand of the Lord is exalted, the hand of the Lord has wrought bravely.
لَا أَمُوتُ بَلْ أَحْيَا وَأُذِيعُ أَعْمَالَ الرَّبِّ. ١٧ 17
I shall not die: nay, I shall live, to declare the works of the Lord.
تَأْدِيباً أَدَّبَنِي الرَّبُّ، وَإِلَى الْمَوْتِ لَمْ يُسْلِمْنِي. ١٨ 18
Though the Lord has chastened me sore, he has not given me over to death. (The Procession arrives at the Temple)
افْتَحُوا لِي أَبْوَابَ الْبِرِّ، فَأَدْخُلَ فِيهَا، وَأَشْكُرَ الرَّبَّ. ١٩ 19
‘Open to me the gates of victory. I would enter therein and give thanks to the Lord.’ (The Welcome)
هَذَا البَابُ هُوَ مَدْخَلُ الأَبْرَارِ إِلَى مَحْضَرِ الرَّبِّ. ٢٠ 20
‘This is the gate of the Lord: the righteous may enter therein;’
أَشْكُرُكَ لأَنَّكَ اسْتَجَبْتَ لِي وَصِرْتَ لِي مُخَلِّصاً. ٢١ 21
I thank you because you have heard me, and are become my salvation.
الْحَجَرُ الَّذِي رَفَضَهُ الْبَنَّاؤُونَ قَدْ صَارَ رَأَسَ الزَّاوِيَةِ. ٢٢ 22
The stone which the builders despised is become the head-stone of the corner.
مِنْ لَدَى الرَّبِّ كَانَ هَذَا، وَهُوَ مُدْهِشٌ فِي أَعْيُنِنَا. ٢٣ 23
This has been wrought by the Lord; it is marvellous in our eyes.
هَذَا هُوَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي أَعَدَّهُ الرَّبُّ، فِيهِ نَبْتَهِجُ وَنَفْرَحُ. ٢٤ 24
This day is the Lord’s own creation: in it let us joy and be glad.
آهِ يَا رَبُّ خَلِّصْ. يَا رَبُّ اكْفُلْ لَنَا النَّجَاحَ. ٢٥ 25
O Lord, save us, we pray, O Lord, prosper, we pray.
مُبَارَكٌ الآتِي بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ. بَارَكْنَاكُمْ مِنْ بَيْتِ الرَّبِّ. ٢٦ 26
Blessed the one who enters in the name of the Lord. From the house of the Lord we bless you.
الرَّبُّ هُوَ اللهُ وَبِنُورِهِ أَضَاءَ لَنَا. ارْبِطُوا الذَّبِيحَةَ بِحِبَالٍ إِلَى زَوَايَا الْمَذْبَحِ. ٢٧ 27
The Lord is God, he has given us light. Wreathe the dance with boughs, till they touch the horns of the altar.
إِلَهِي أَنْتَ، وَإِيَّاكَ أَشْكُرُ. إِلَهِي أَنْتَ وَإِيَّاكَ أُعَظِّمُ. ٢٨ 28
You are my God, I will thank you; O my God, I will exalt you.
اشْكُرُوا الرَّبَّ لأَنَّهُ صَالِحٌ، وَرَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ. ٢٩ 29
Give thanks to the Lord for his goodness: his kindness endures forever.
