المَزامِير 118

١ 1 اشْكُرُوا الرَّبَّ لأَنَّهُ صَالِحٌ، وَرَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.

Alleluia. Give thanks to the Lord; for [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.

٢ 2 لِيَقُلْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ: إِنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.

Let now the house of Israel say, that [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.

٣ 3 لِيَقُلْ بَيْتُ هَرُونَ: إِنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.

Let now the house of Aaron say, that [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.

٤ 4 لِيَقُلْ خَائِفُو الرَّبِّ: إِنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.

Let now all that fear the Lord say, that [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.

٥ 5 دَعَوْتُ الرَّبَّ فِي الضِّيقِ فَأَجَابَنِي وَفَرَّجَ عَنِّي.

I called on the Lord out of affliction: and he listened to me, [so as to bring me] into a wide place.

٦ 6 الرَّبُّ مَعِي فَلَا أَخَافُ. مَاذَا يَصْنَعُ بِي الْبَشَرُ؟

The Lord is my helper; and I will not fear what man shall do to me.

٧ 7 الرَّبُّ مَعِي. هُوَ مُعِينٌ لِي. سَأَرَى هَزِيمَةَ أَعْدَائِي.

The Lord is my helper; and I shall see [my desire] upon mine enemies.

٨ 8 اللُّجُوءُ إِلَى الرَّبِّ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الاعْتِمَادِ عَلَى الْبَشَرِ.

[It is] better to trust in the Lord than to trust in man.

٩ 9 اللُّجُوءُ إِلَى الرَّبِّ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الاعْتِمَادِ عَلَى الْعُظَمَاءِ.

[It is] better to hope in the Lord, than to hope in princes.

١٠ 10 حَاصَرَتْنِي جَمِيعُ الأُمَمِ، لَكِنِّي بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ أُبِيدُهُمْ.

All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.

١١ 11 حَاصَرُونِي وَضَيَّقُوا عَلَيَّ، لَكِنِّي بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ أُبِيدُهُمْ.

They completely compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.

١٢ 12 حَاصَرُونِي كَالنَّحْلِ، (اشْتَعَلُوا) ثُمَّ انْطَفَأُوا كَنَارِ الشَّوْكِ. بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ أُبِيدُهُمْ.

They compassed me about as bees [do] a honeycomb, and they burst into flame as fire among thorns: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.

١٣ 13 دُفِعْتُ بِعُنْفٍ كَيْ أَسْقُطَ، لَكِنَّ الرَّبَّ عَضَدَنِي.

I was thrust, and sorely shaken, that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.

١٤ 14 الرَّبُّ قُوَّتِي وَتَرْنِيمِي وَقَدْ صَارَ لِي خَلاصاً.

The Lord is my strength and my song, and is become my salvation.

١٥ 15 صَوْتُ هُتَافِ النَّصْرِ وَالْخَلاصِ فِي مَسَاكِنِ الأَبْرَارِ. يَمِينُ الرَّبِّ مُقْتَدِرَةٌ فِي فِعْلِهَا.

The voice of exultation and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord has wrought mightily.

١٦ 16 يَمِينُ الرَّبِّ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ. يَمِينُ الرَّبِّ مُقْتَدِرَةٌ فِي فِعْلِهَا.

The right hand of the Lord has exalted me: the right hand of the Lord has wrought powerfully.

١٧ 17 لَا أَمُوتُ بَلْ أَحْيَا وَأُذِيعُ أَعْمَالَ الرَّبِّ.

I shall not die, but live, and recount the works of the Lord.

١٨ 18 تَأْدِيباً أَدَّبَنِي الرَّبُّ، وَإِلَى الْمَوْتِ لَمْ يُسْلِمْنِي.

The Lord has chastened me sore: but he has not given me up to death.

١٩ 19 افْتَحُوا لِي أَبْوَابَ الْبِرِّ، فَأَدْخُلَ فِيهَا، وَأَشْكُرَ الرَّبَّ.

Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and give praise to the Lord.

٢٠ 20 هَذَا البَابُ هُوَ مَدْخَلُ الأَبْرَارِ إِلَى مَحْضَرِ الرَّبِّ.

This is the gate of the Lord: the righteous shall enter by it.

٢١ 21 أَشْكُرُكَ لأَنَّكَ اسْتَجَبْتَ لِي وَصِرْتَ لِي مُخَلِّصاً.

I will give thanks to you; because you have heard me, and are become my salvation.

٢٢ 22 الْحَجَرُ الَّذِي رَفَضَهُ الْبَنَّاؤُونَ قَدْ صَارَ رَأَسَ الزَّاوِيَةِ.

The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner.

٢٣ 23 مِنْ لَدَى الرَّبِّ كَانَ هَذَا، وَهُوَ مُدْهِشٌ فِي أَعْيُنِنَا.

This has been done of the Lord; and it is wonderful in our eyes.

٢٤ 24 هَذَا هُوَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي أَعَدَّهُ الرَّبُّ، فِيهِ نَبْتَهِجُ وَنَفْرَحُ.

This is the day which the Lord has made: let us exult and rejoice in it.

٢٥ 25 آهِ يَا رَبُّ خَلِّصْ. يَا رَبُّ اكْفُلْ لَنَا النَّجَاحَ.

O Lord, save now: O Lord, send now prosperity.

٢٦ 26 مُبَارَكٌ الآتِي بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ. بَارَكْنَاكُمْ مِنْ بَيْتِ الرَّبِّ.

Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.

٢٧ 27 الرَّبُّ هُوَ اللهُ وَبِنُورِهِ أَضَاءَ لَنَا. ارْبِطُوا الذَّبِيحَةَ بِحِبَالٍ إِلَى زَوَايَا الْمَذْبَحِ.

God is the Lord, and he has shined upon us: celebrate the feast with thick [branches, binding the victims] even to the horns of the altar.

٢٨ 28 إِلَهِي أَنْتَ، وَإِيَّاكَ أَشْكُرُ. إِلَهِي أَنْتَ وَإِيَّاكَ أُعَظِّمُ.

You are my God, and I will give you thanks: you are my God, and I will exalt you. I will give thanks to you, for you have heard me, and are become my salvation.

٢٩ 29 اشْكُرُوا الرَّبَّ لأَنَّهُ صَالِحٌ، وَرَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.

Give thanks to the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
