المَزامِير 116

١ 1 إِنِّي أُحِبُّ الرَّبَّ لأَنَّهُ يَسْمَعُ ابْتِهَالِي وَيَسْتَجِيبُ إِلَى تَضَرُّعَاتِي.

I love YHWH, because he listens to my voice, and my cries for mercy.

٢ 2 أَمَالَ أُذُنَهُ إِلَيَّ لِذَلِكَ أَدْعُوهُ مَادُمْتُ حَيًّا.

Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.

٣ 3 طَوَّقَتْنِي حِبَالُ الْمَوْتِ. أَطْبَقَ عَلَيَّ رُعْبُ الْهَاوِيَةِ. قَاسَيْتُ ضِيقاً وَحُزْناً. (Sheol h7585)

The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)

٤ 4 فَدَعَوْتُ الرَّبَّ: آهِ يَا رَبُّ نَجِّ نَفْسِي!

Then I called on the name of YHWH: "YHWH, I beg you, deliver my soul."

٥ 5 الرَّبُّ حَنُونٌ وَبَارٌّ. إِلَهُنَا رَحِيمٌ.

YHWH is Gracious and righteous. Yes, our God is merciful.

٦ 6 الرَّبُّ حَافِظُ الْبُسَطَاءِ. تَذَلَّلْتُ فَخَلَّصَنِي.

YHWH preserves the simple. I was brought low, and he saved me.

٧ 7 عُودِي يَا نَفْسِي إِلَى طُمَأْنِينَتِكِ، لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ أَحْسَنَ إِلَيْكِ.

Return to your rest, my soul, for YHWH has dealt bountifully with you.

٨ 8 لأَنَّكَ يَا رَبُّ أَنْقَذْتَ نَفْسِي مِنَ الْمَوْتِ، وَعَيْنِي مِنَ الدَّمْعِ، وَقَدَمَيَّ مِنَ التَّعَثُّرِ،

For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

٩ 9 لِذَلِكَ أَسْلُكُ بِطَاعَةٍ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ فِي دِيَارِ الأَحْيَاءِ.

I will walk before YHWH in the land of the living.

١٠ 10 آمَنْتُ لِذَلِكَ تَكَلَّمْتُ. أَنَا عَانَيْتُ كَثِيراً.

I believed, therefore I said, "I am greatly afflicted."

١١ 11 وَقُلْتُ فِي حَيْرَتِي: «جَمِيعُ الْبَشَرِ كَاذِبُونَ».

I said in my haste, "All men are liars."

١٢ 12 مَاذَا أَرُدُّ لِلرَّبِّ مُقَابِلَ كُلِّ مَا أَبْدَاهُ نَحْوي مِنْ حُسْنِ الصَّنِيعِ؟

What will I give to YHWH for all his benefits toward me?

١٣ 13 سَأَتَنَاوَلُ كَأْسَ الْخَلاصِ، وَأَدْعُو بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ.

I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of YHWH.

١٤ 14 أُوْفِي نُذُورِي لِلرَّبِّ أَمَامَ كُلِّ شَعْبِهِ.

I will pay my vows to YHWH, yes, in the presence of all his people.

١٥ 15 عَزِيزٌ فِي عَيْنَي الرَّبِّ مَوْتُ قِدِّيسِيهِ.

Precious in the sight of YHWH is the death of his faithful ones.

١٦ 16 آهِ يَا رَبُّ أَنَا عَبْدُكَ. أَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَابْنُ أَمَتِكَ. أَنْتَ حَلَلْتَ قُيُودِي.

YHWH, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your handmaid. You have freed me from my chains.

١٧ 17 لَكَ أُقَدِّمُ ذَبَائِحَ الشُّكْرِ، وَأَدْعُو بِاسْمِكَ.

I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call on the name of YHWH.

١٨ 18 أُوْفِي نُذُورِي لِلرَّبِّ أَمَامَ كُلِّ شَعْبِهِ.

I will pay my vows to YHWH, yes, in the presence of all his people,

١٩ 19 فِي دِيَارِ بَيْتِ الرَّبِّ، فِي وَسَطِكِ يَا أُورُشَلِيمُ. هَلِّلُويَا.

in the courts of YHWH's house, in the midst of you, Jerusalem. Praise JAH.
