المَزامِير 115

١ 1 لَا تُمَجِّدْنَا يَا رَبُّ، بَلْ مَجِّدِ اسْمَكَ، مِنْ أَجْلِ رَحْمَتِكَ وَحَقِّكَ.

NOT unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.

٢ 2 لِمَاذَا تَسْأَلُنَا الأُمَمُ: أَيْنَ هُوَ إِلَهُكُمْ؟

Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?

٣ 3 إِنَّ إِلَهَنَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ. كُلَّ مَا شَاءَ صَنَعَ.

But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

٤ 4 أَمَّا أَوْثَانُهُمْ فَهِيَ فِضَّةٌ وَذَهَبٌ مِنْ صُنْعِ أَيْدِي الْبَشَرِ.

Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

٥ 5 لَهَا أَفْوَاهٌ لَكِنَّهَا لَا تَنْطِقُ. لَهَا عُيُونٌ وَلَكِنَّهَا لَا تُبْصِرُ.

They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:

٦ 6 وَآذَانٌ لَكِنَّهَا لَا تَسْمَعُ. وَأُنُوفٌ لَكِنَّهَا لَا تَشُمُّ.

They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:

٧ 7 لَهَا أَيْدٍ لَكِنَّهَا لَا تَلْمَسُ. وَأَرْجُلٌ لَكِنَّهَا لَا تَمْشِي، وَلَا تُصْدِرُ مِنْ حَنَاجِرِهَا صَوْتاً.

They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.

٨ 8 مِثْلَهَا يَصِيرُ صَانِعُوهَا وَكُلُّ مَنْ يَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْهَا.

They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.

٩ 9 اتَّكِلُوا عَلَى الرَّبِّ يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، هُوَ عَوْنُكُمْ وَتُرْسُكُمْ.

O Israel, trust thou in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.

١٠ 10 اتَّكِلُوا عَلَى الرَّبِّ يَا بَيْتَ هَارُونَ: هُوَ عَوْنُكُمْ وَتُرْسُكُمْ.

O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.

١١ 11 اتَّكِلُوا عَلَى الرَّبِّ يَا خَائِفِي الرَّبِّ: هُوَ عَوْنُكُمْ وَتُرْسُكُمْ.

Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.

١٢ 12 الرَّبُّ ذَكَرَنَا وَيُبَارِكُنَا. يُبَارِكُ شَعْبَ إِسْرَائِيلَ، يُبَارِكُ الرَّبُّ آلَ هَارُونَ.

The Lord hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

١٣ 13 يُبَارِكُ كُلَّ مَنْ يَتَّقِيهِ، صِغَارَهُمْ وَكِبَارَهُمْ.

He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great.

١٤ 14 لِيَزِدِ الرَّبُّ بَرَكَتَهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَلَى أَوْلادِكُمْ.

The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children.

١٥ 15 لِيُبَارِكْكُمُ الرَّبُّ، خَالِقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ.

Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.

١٦ 16 السَّمَاوَاتُ لِلرَّبِّ وَحْدَهُ، أَمَّا الأَرْضُ فَوَهَبَهَا لِبَنِي آدَمَ.

The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

١٧ 17 لَا يُسَبِّحُ الأَمْوَاتُ الرَّبَّ، وَلَا الهَاجِعُونَ فِي الْقُبُورِ.

The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence.

١٨ 18 أَمَّا نَحْنُ فَنُبَارِكُ الرَّبَّ مِنَ الآنَ وَإِلَى الدَّهْرِ. هَلِّلُويَا.

But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord.
