المَزامِير 113

١ 1 هَلِّلُويَا. سَبِّحُوا يَا عَبِيدَ الرَّبِّ، سَبِّحَوا اسْمَ الرَّبِّ.

Alleluia. Praise the Lord, ye servants [of his], praise, the name of the Lord.

٢ 2 لِيَكُنِ اسْمُ الرَّبِّ مُبَارَكاً مِنَ الآنَ وَإِلَى الأَبَدِ.

Let the name of the Lord be blessed, from this present time and for ever.

٣ 3 لِيُسَبَّحْ بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ مِنْ مَشْرِقِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَى مَغْرِبِهَا.

From the rising of the sun to his setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised.

٤ 4 الرَّبُّ مُتَسَامٍ عَلَى جَمِيعِ الأُمَمِ، وَمَجْدُهُ فَوْقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ.

The Lord is high above all the nations; his glory is above the heavens.

٥ 5 مَنْ هُوَ نَظِيرُ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِنَا السَّاكِنِ فِي الأَعَالِي؟

Who is as the Lord our God? who dwells in the high places,

٦ 6 الْمُطِلِّ مِنْ عَلْيَائِهِ إِلَى أَسْفَلَ لِيَرَى السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ.

and [yet] looks upon the low things in heaven, and on the earth:

٧ 7 يُنْهِضُ الْمِسْكِينَ مِنَ التُّرَابِ، وَيَرْفَعُ الْبَائِسَ مِنْ الْمَزْبَلَةِ،

who lifts up the poor from the earth, and raises up the needy from the dunghill;

٨ 8 لِيُجْلِسَهُ مَعَ أَشْرَافِ شَعْبِهِ.

to set him with princes, [even] with the princes of his people:

٩ 9 يَرْزُقُ العَاقِرَ أَوْلاداً. يَجْعَلُهَا أُمّاً سَعِيدَةً. هَلِّلُويَا.

who settles the barren [woman] in a house, [as] a mother rejoicing over children.
