المَزامِير 112

١ 1 هَلِّلُويَا! طُوبَى لِمَنْ يَخْشَى الرَّبَّ وَيَبْتَهِجُ جِدّاً بِوَصَايَاهُ.

Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man, that feareth the Lord, and deliteth greatly in his commandements.

٢ 2 ذُرِّيَّتُهُ تَكُونُ قَوِيَّةً فِي الأَرْضِ، جِيلُ الْمُسْتَقِيمِينَ يَكُونُ مُبَارَكاً.

His seede shall be mightie vpon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.

٣ 3 يَمْتَلِئُ بَيْتُهُ مَالاً وَغِنىً، وَبِرُّهُ يَدُومُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ.

Riches and treasures shalbe in his house, and his righteousnesse endureth for euer.

٤ 4 يُشْرِقُ نُورٌ فِي الظُّلْمَةِ لِلْمُسْتَقِيمِينَ لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ حَنَّانٌ وَرَحِيمٌ وَصِدِّيقٌ.

Vnto the righteous ariseth light in darkenes: he is merciful and full of copassion and righteous.

٥ 5 سَعِيدٌ هُوَ الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي يَتَحَنَّنُ وَيُقْرِضُ مَجَّاناً وَيُدَبِّرُ شُؤُونَهُ بِالْحَيْطَةِ وَالْعَدْلِ.

A good man is mercifull and lendeth, and will measure his affaires by iudgement.

٦ 6 فَإِنَّهُ لَنْ يَتَزَعْزَعَ أَبَداً. ذِكْرُ الصِّدِّيقِ يَخْلُدُ إِلَى الأَبْدِ.

Surely he shall neuer be moued: but the righteous shalbe had in euerlasting remembrance.

٧ 7 لَنْ يَخَافَ مِنْ خَبَرِ سُوءٍ، فَقَلْبُهُ ثَابِتٌ مُتَّكِلٌ عَلَى الرَّبِّ.

He will not be afraide of euill tidings: for his heart is fixed, and beleeueth in the Lord.

٨ 8 قَلْبُهُ ثَابِتٌ لَا تَعْتَرِيهِ الْمَخَاوِفُ، وَيَشْهَدُ عِقَابَ مَضْطَهِدِيهِ.

His heart is stablished: therefore he will not feare, vntill he see his desire vpon his enemies.

٩ 9 يُوَزِّعُ بِسَخَاءٍ وَيُعْطِي الْفُقَرَاءَ، وَبِرُّهُ يَدُومُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ، فَيَرْتَفِعُ رَأْسُهُ بِاعْتِزَازٍ.

He hath distributed and giuen to ye poore: his righteousnesse remaineth for euer: his horne shalbe exalted with glory.

١٠ 10 يَرَى الشِّرِّيرُ ذَلِكَ فَيَغْتَاظُ، يَصِرُّ بِأَسْنَانِهِ وَيَذُوبُ إِذْ شَهْوَةُ الشِّرِّيرِ لَا تَتَحَقَّقُ.

The wicked shall see it and be angrie: he shall gnash with his teeth, and consume away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
