المَزامِير 105

١ 1 قَدِّمُوا الشُّكْرَ لِلرَّبِّ. ادْعُوا بِاسْمِهِ. عَرِّفُوا بِأَعْمَالِهِ بَيْنَ الشُّعُوبِ.

O give thanks unto the LORD; Call upon his name; Make known his deeds among the people!

٢ 2 غَنُّوا لَهُ، اشْدُوا لَهُ. حَدِّثُوا بِكُلِّ عَجَائِبِهِ.

Sing unto him; sing psalms unto him; Tell ye of all his wondrous works!

٣ 3 تَبَاهَوْا بِاسْمِهِ الْقُدُّوسِ، لِتَفْرَحْ قُلُوبُ طَالِبِي الرَّبِّ.

Glory ye in his holy name; Let the hearts of them that seek the LORD rejoice!

٤ 4 اطْلُبُوا الرَّبَّ وَقُوَّتَهُ، الْتَمِسُوا وَجْهَهُ دَائِماً.

Seek the LORD, and his majesty; Seek his face continually!

٥ 5 اذْكُرُوا عَجَائِبَهُ الَّتِي صَنَعَهَا، مُعْجِزَاتِهِ وَأَحْكَامَهُ الَّتِي نَطَقَ بِها.

Remember the wonders he hath wrought, His miracles and the judgments of his mouth,

٦ 6 يَا ذُرِّيَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَبْدِهِ، يَا بَنِي يَعْقُوبَ الَّذِينَ اخْتَارَهُمْ.

Ye offspring of Abraham his servant, Ye children of Jacob his chosen!

٧ 7 هُوَ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُنَا، أَحْكَامُهُ تَمْلأُ الأَرْضَ كُلَّهَا.

Jehovah, he is our God, His judgments are over all the earth.

٨ 8 لَمْ يَنْسَ عَهْدَهُ قَطُّ وَلَا وَعْدَهُ الَّذِي قَطَعَهُ إِلَى أَلْفِ جِيلٍ،

He remembereth his covenant for ever, And the promise to a thousand generations;

٩ 9 الْعَهْدَ الَّذِي أَبْرَمَهُ مَعَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَالْقَسَمَ الَّذِي أَقْسَمَ بِهِ لإِسْحَاقَ.

The covenant which he made with Abraham, And the oath which he gave to Isaac;

١٠ 10 ثُمَّ ثَبَّتَهُ لِيَعْقُوبَ فَرِيضَةً، وَلإِسْرَائِيلَ مِيثَاقاً أَبَدِيًّا،

Which he confirmed to Jacob for a decree, And to Israel for an everlasting covenant.

١١ 11 قَائِلاً: «لَكَ أُعْطِي أَرْضَ كَنْعَانَ نَصِيبَ مِيرَاثٍ لَكُمْ».

“To thee,” said he, “will I give the land of Canaan For the lot of your inheritance.”

١٢ 12 إِذْ كَانُوا قِلَّةً بَعْدُ، نَفَراً ضَئِيلاً مُتَغَرِّبِينَ فِي الأَرْضِ.

When they were yet few in number, Very few, and strangers in the land;

١٣ 13 مُتَنَقِّلِينَ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ إِلَى أُمَّةٍ، وَمِنْ مَمْلَكَةٍ إِلَى أُخْرَى.

When they went from nation to nation, From one kingdom to another people,

١٤ 14 فَلَمْ يَدَعْ أَيَّ إِنْسَانٍ يَظْلِمُهُمْ، بَلْ وَبَّخَ مُلُوكاً مِنْ أَجْلِهِمْ.

He suffered no man to oppress them; Yea, he rebuked kings for their sakes.

١٥ 15 قَائِلاً: «لَا تَمَسُّوا مُسَحَائِي، وَلَا تُؤْذُوا أَنْبِيَائِي».

“Touch not,” said he, “mine anointed, And do my prophets no harm!”

١٦ 16 ثُمَّ أَفْشَى مَجَاعَةً فِي الأَرْضِ، وَقَطَعَ الْخُبْزَ قِوَامَ طَعَامِهِمْ.

Again, when he commanded a famine in the land, And broke the whole staff of bread,

١٧ 17 لَكِنَّهُ أَرْسَلَ أَمَامَهُمْ يُوسُفَ، فَبِيعَ عَبْداً.

He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold as a slave.

١٨ 18 آذَوْا بِالْقُيُودِ قَدَمَيْهِ، وَبِالْحَدِيدِ طَوَّقُوا عُنُقَهُ.

His feet they hurt with fetters; He was bound in chains of iron;

١٩ 19 إِلَى أَنْ تَحَقَّقَ تَفْسِيرُهُ لِلأَحْلامِ فِي أَوَانِهِ، وَبَرْهَنَتْ كَلِمَةُ الرَّبِّ صِدْقَهُ.

Until his prediction came to pass, And the word of the LORD proved him.

٢٠ 20 فَأَرْسَلَ الْمَلِكُ وَأَطْلَقَهُ، حَاكِمُ الشَّعْبِ حَرَّرَهُ.

Then the king sent, and loosed him; The ruler of nations, and set him free;

٢١ 21 أَقَامَهُ سَيِّداً عَلَى قَصْرِهِ، وَمُتَسَلِّطاً عَلَى جَمِيعِ أَمْلاكِهِ.

He made him governor of his house, And lord of all his possessions;

٢٢ 22 يَتَصَرَّفُ بِوُلاتِهِ حَسَبَ مَسَرَّتِهِ، وَيُلَقِّنُ شُيُوخَهُ الْحِكْمَةَ.

To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his counsellors wisdom.

٢٣ 23 ثُمَّ جَاءَ إِسْرَائِيلُ إِلَى أَرْضِ مِصْرَ. تَغَرَّبَ يَعْقُوبُ فِي بَلَدِ حَامٍ.

Israel also came into Egypt, And Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham;

٢٤ 24 فَكَثَّرَ اللهُ شَعْبَهُ، وَجَعَلَهُ أَقْوَى مِنْ أَعْدَائِهِ،

Where God increased his people greatly, And made them stronger than their enemies.

٢٥ 25 الَّذِينَ حَوَّلَ قُلُوبَهُمْ لِيُبْغِضُوا شَعْبَهُ، وَيَكِيدُوا لِعَبِيدِهِ.

He turned their hearts to hate his people, And form devices against his servants.

٢٦ 26 عِنْدَئِذٍ أَرْسَلَ مُوسَى عَبْدَهُ وَهَارُونَ مُخْتَارَهُ.

Then sent he Moses his servant, And Aaron, whom he had chosen.

٢٧ 27 فَأَجْرَيَا بَيْنَهُمْ آيَاتِهِ، وَصَنَعَا عَجَائِبَ فِي مِصْرَ.

They showed his signs among them, And his wonders in the land of Ham.

٢٨ 28 بَعَثَ ظَلاماً، تَغَشَّتْ بِهِ الأَرْضُ، وَلَكِنَّ الْمِصْرِيِّينَ عَانَدُوا كَلِمَتَهُ.

He sent darkness upon them, and made it dark; And they did not disobey his word.

٢٩ 29 حَوَّلَ مِيَاهَهُمْ إِلَى دَمٍ وَأَمَاتَ أَسْمَاكَهُمْ.

He turned their waters into blood, And caused their fish to die.

٣٠ 30 فَاضَتْ أَرْضُهُمْ ضَفَادِعَ حَتَّى بَلَغَتْ مَخَادِعَ مُلُوكِهِمْ.

Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, Even in the chambers of their kings.

٣١ 31 أَمَرَ فَأَقْبَلَ الذُّبَابُ وَالْبَعُوضُ فَانْتَشَرَ فِي كُلِّ أَرْضِهِمْ

He spake, and there came flies, And lice in all their coasts.

٣٢ 32 أَمْطَرَ عَلَيْهِمْ بَرَداً وَأَلْهَبَ أَرْضَهُمْ بِالْبُرُوقِ.

Instead of rain he gave them hail, And flaming fire in their land.

٣٣ 33 ضَرَبَ كُرُومَهُمْ وَتِينَهُمْ، وَهَشَّمَ كُلَّ أَشْجَارِهِمْ

He smote also their vines and fig-trees, And broke the trees of their coasts.

٣٤ 34 أَمَرَ، فَتَوَافَدَ الْجَرَادُ الطَّيَّارُ وَالزَّحَّافُ بِأَعْدَادٍ لَا تُحْصَى،

He spake, and the locusts came. Destructive locusts without number,

٣٥ 35 فَالْتَهَمَ كُلَّ عُشْبِ أَرْضِهِمْ، وَأَكَلَ ثِمَارَ حُقُولِهِمْ.

Which ate up all the herbage in their land, And devoured the fruits of their fields.

٣٦ 36 ثُمَّ قَتَلَ الرَّبُّ جَمِيعَ أَبْكَارِ أَرْضِهِمْ، أَوَائِلَ ثِمَارِ خُصُوبَتِهِمْ جَمِيعاً.

Then he smote all the first-born in their land, The first-fruits of all their strength.

٣٧ 37 وَأَخْرَجَ شَعْبَهُ مُحَمَّلِينَ بِفِضَّةٍ وَذَهَبٍ، وَلَمْ يَتَعَثَّرْ فِي الْمَسِيرِ مِنْ عَشَائِرِهِمْ وَاحِدٌ.

He led forth his people with silver and gold; Nor was there one feeble person in all their tribes.

٣٨ 38 فَرِحَ أَهْلُ مِصْرَ بِخُرُوجِهِمْ لأَنَّ رُعْبَهُمْ غَلَبَ عَلَيْهِمْ.

Egypt was glad when they departed, For their terror had fallen upon them.

٣٩ 39 نَشَرَ سَحَابَةً فَوْقَ شَعْبِهِ، غِطَاءً لَهُمْ، وَأَرْسَلَ نَاراً تُضِيءُ لَهُمْ لَيْلاً.

He spread out a cloud for a covering, And fire to give light by night.

٤٠ 40 طَلَبُوا طَعَاماً فَبَعَثَ لَهُمْ طُيُورَ السَّلْوَى وَمِنْ خُبْزِ السَّمَاءِ أَشْبَعَهُمْ.

They asked, and he brought quails, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

٤١ 41 فَلَقَ الصَّخْرَةَ وَفَجَّرَ مِنْهَا الْمِيَاهَ، فَجَرَتْ فِي الصَّحْرَاءِ كَأَنَّهَا نَهْرٌ.

He opened the rock, and the waters gushed forth, And ran in the dry places like a river.

٤٢ 42 لأَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ كَلِمَتَهُ الْمُقَدَّسَةَ الَّتِي وَعَدَ بِها إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَبْدَهُ.

For he remembered his holy promise, Which he had made to Abraham his servant;

٤٣ 43 وَهَكَذَا أَخْرَجَ شَعْبَهُ مِنْ مِصْرَ بِابْتِهَاجٍ وَمُخْتَارِيهِ بِتَرَانِيمِ الظَّفَرِ.

And he led forth his people with joy, And his chosen with gladness.

٤٤ 44 وَوَهَبَهُمْ أَرَاضِيَ الأُمَمِ، فَامْتَلَكُوا غَلَّاتٍ تَعِبَتْ فِيهَا شُعُوبٌ أُخْرَى.

He gave to them the lands of the nations, And they inherited the labor of the peoples;

٤٥ 45 لِيُمَارِسُوا فَرَائِضَهُ وَيُطِيعُوا شَرَائِعَهُ. هَلِّلُويَا.

That they might observe his statutes, And obey his laws. Praise ye the LORD!
