نَحَمْيا 12

١ 1 وَهَذَا بَيَانٌ بِأَسْمَاءِ الْكَهَنَةِ وَاللّاوِيِّينَ الَّذِينَ عَادُوا مِنَ السَّبْيِ مَعَ زَرُبَّابِلَ بْنِ شَأَلْتِيئِيلَ وَيَشُوعَ: سَرَايَا وَيِرْمِيَا وَعِزْرَا،

These also are the Priestes and the Leuites that went vp with Zerubbabel, the sonne of Shealtiel, and Ieshua: to wit, Seraiah, Ieremiah, Ezra,

٢ 2 وَأَمَرْيَا وَمَلُّوخُ وَحَطُّوشُ،

Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,

٣ 3 وَشَكَنْيَا وَرَحُومُ وَمَرِيمُوثُ،

Shecaniah, Rehum, Merimoth,

٤ 4 وَعِدُّو وَجِنْتُويُ وَأَبِيَّا،

Iddo, Ginnetho, Abiiah,

٥ 5 وَمِيَّامِينُ وَمَعَدْيَا وَبَلْجَةُ،

Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,

٦ 6 وَشَمَعْيَا وَيُويَارِيبُ وَيَدَعْيَا،

Shemaiah, and Ioiarib, Iedaiah,

٧ 7 وَسَلُّو وَعَامُوقُ وَيَدَعْيَا. هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ رُؤَسَاءُ الْكَهَنَةِ وَأَقْرِبَاؤُهُمْ فِي أَيَّامِ يَشُوعَ.

Sallu, Amok, Hilkiiah, Iedaiah: these were the chiefe of the Priests, and of their brethren in the dayes of Ieshua.

٨ 8 ثُمَّ اللّاوِيُّونَ يَشُوعُ وَبِنُّويُ وَقَدْمِيئِيلُ وَشَرَبْيَا وَيَهُوذَا وَمَتَّنْيَا، الَّذِي كَانَ هُوَ وَبَقِيَّةُ أَقْرِبَائِهِ مَسْؤولِينَ عَنْ خِدْمَةِ التَّسْبِيحِ وَالْحَمْدِ.

And the Leuites, Ieshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Iudah, Mattaniah were ouer the thankesgiuings, he, and his brethren.

٩ 9 بَيْنَمَا كَانَ بَقْبُقْيَا وَعُنِّي قَرِيبَاهُمْ يَقِفَانِ قُبَالَتَهُمْ يُشَارِكَانِ فِي الْخِدْمَةِ.

And Bakbukiah and Vnni, and their brethren were about them in the watches.

١٠ 10 وَأَنْجَبَ يَشُوعُ يُويَاقِيمَ، وَيُويَاقِيمُ أَلِيَاشِيبَ، وَأَلِيَاشِيبُ يُويَادَاعَ،

And Ieshua begate Ioiakim: Ioiakim also begate Eliashib, and Eliashib begate Ioiada.

١١ 11 وَيُويَادَاعُ يُونَاثانَ، وَيُونَاثَانُ يَدُّوعَ.

And Ioiada begate Ionathan, and Ionathan begate Iaddua,

١٢ 12 وَفِي عَهْدِ يُويَاقِيمَ تَوَلَّى الْكَهَنَةُ التَّالُونَ رَئَاسَةَ عَشَائِرِ آبَائِهِمْ: مَرَايَا رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ سَرَايَا، وَحَنَنْيَا رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ يِرْمِيَا،

And in the daies of Ioiakim were these, the chiefe fathers of the Priests: vnder Seraiah was Meraiah, vnder Ieremiah, Hananiah,

١٣ 13 وَمَشُلّامُ رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ عِزْرَا، وَيَهُوحَانَانُ رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ أَمَرْيَا،

Vnder Ezra, Meshullam, vnder Amariah, Iehohanan,

١٤ 14 وَيُونَاثَانُ رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ مَلِيكُو، وَيُوسُفُ رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ شَبْنِيَا،

Vnder Melicu, Ionathan, vnder Shebaniah, Ioseph,

١٥ 15 وَعَدْنَا رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ حَرِيمَ، وَحَلْقَايُ رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ مَرَايُوثَ،

Vnder Harim, Adna, vnder Maraioth, Helkai,

١٦ 16 وَزَكَرِيَّا رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ عِدُّو، وَمَشُلّامُ رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ جِنَّثُونَ،

Vnder Iddo, Zechariah, vnder Ginnithon, Meshullam,

١٧ 17 وَزِكْرِي رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ أَبِيَّا: وَفِلْطَايُ رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ مُوعَدْيَا وَمِنْيَامِينَ،

Vnder Abiiah, Zichri, vnder Miniamin, and vnder Moadiah, Piltai,

١٨ 18 وَشَمُّوعُ رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ بِلْجَةَ، وَيَهُونَاثَانُ رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ شَمَعْيَا،

Vnder Bilgah, Shammua, vnder Shemaiah, Iehonathan,

١٩ 19 وَمَتْنَايُ رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ يُويَارِيبَ، وَعُزِّي رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ يَدَعْيَا،

Vnder Ioiarib, Mattenai, vnder Iedaiah, Vzzi,

٢٠ 20 وَقَلّايُ رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ سَلَّايَ، وَعَابِرُ رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ عَامُوقَ،

Vnder Sallai, Kallai, vnder Amok, Eber,

٢١ 21 وَحَشَبْيَا رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ حِلْقِيَّا، وَنَثَنْئِيلُ رَئِيساً لِعَشِيرَةِ يَدَعْيَا.

Vnder Hilkiah, Hashabiah, vnder Iedaiah, Nethaneel.

٢٢ 22 وَقَدْ تَمَّ تَدْوِينُ أَسْمَاءِ رُؤَسَاءِ الْعَشَائِرِ مِنْ كَهَنَةٍ وَلاوِيِّينَ فِي سِجِلِّ الأَنْسَابِ فِي حُكْمِ دَارِيُوسَ الْفَارِسِيِّ فِي أَيَّامِ أَلِيَاشِيبَ وَيُويَادَاعَ وَيُوحَانَانَ وَيَدُّوعَ

In the dayes of Eliashib, Ioiada, and Iohanan and Iaddua were the chiefe fathers of the Leuites written, and the Priests in the reigne of Darius the Persian.

٢٣ 23 وَكَانَتْ أَسْمَاءُ رُؤَسَاءِ عَشَائِرِ اللّاوِيِّينَ مُسَجَّلَةً فِي سِفْرِ أَخْبَارِ الأَيَّامِ حَتَّى زَمَانِ يُوحَانَانَ بْنِ أَلِيَاشِيبَ.

The sonnes of Leui, the chiefe fathers were written in the booke of the Chronicles euen vnto the dayes of Iohanan the sonne of Eliashib.

٢٤ 24 وَكَانَ رُؤَسَاءُ اللّاوِيِّينَ حَشَبْيَا وَشَرَبْيَا وَيَشُوعُ بْنُ قَدْمِيئِيلَ وَأَقْرِبَاؤُهُمُ الْوَاقِفُونَ مُقَابِلَهُمْ يَقُومُونَ بِمَرَاسِمِ الْحَمْدِ وَالتَّسْبِيحِ، بِمُوْجِبِ أَمْرِ دَاوُدَ رَجُلِ اللهِ، فَكَانَتْ نَوْبَةٌ تَقِفُ فِي مُوَاجَهَةِ نَوْبَةٍ.

And the chiefe of the Leuites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Ieshua the sonne of Kadmiel, and their brethren about them to giue prayse and thankes, according to the ordinance of Dauid the man of God, ward ouer against warde.

٢٥ 25 أَمَّا مَتَّنْيَا وَبَقْبُقْيَا وَعُوبَدْيَا وَمَشُلّامُ وَطَلْمُونُ وَعَقُّوبُ فَكَانُوا حُرَّاسَ أَبْوَابِ الْهَيْكَلِ يَحْرُسُونَ مَخَازِنَ الأَبْوَابِ.

Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon and Akkub were porters keeping the warde at the thresholds of the gates.

٢٦ 26 هَؤُلاءِ خَدَمُوا فِي أَيَّامِ يُويَاقِيمَ بْنِ يَشُوعَ بْنِ صَادُوقَ وَفِي عَهْدِ نَحَمْيَا الْوَالِي وَعِزْرَا الْكَاهِنِ الْكَاتِبِ.

These were in the dayes of Ioiakim, the sonne of Ieshua, the sonne of Iozadak, and in the dayes of Nehemiah the captaine, and of Ezra the Priest and scribe.

٢٧ 27 وَعِنْدَ تَدْشِينِ سُورِ أُورُشَلِيمَ اسْتَدْعَوْا اللّاوِيِّينَ مِنْ جَمِيعِ مَوَاطِنِهِمْ إِلَى أُورُشَلِيمَ لِكَيْ يُدَشِّنُوا بِفَرَحٍ وَبِحَمْدٍ وَتَرْنِيمٍ بِالصُّنُوجِ وَالرَّبَابِ وَالْعِيدَانِ.

And in the dedication of the wall at Ierusalem they sought the Leuites out of all their places to bring them to Ierusalem to keepe the dedication and gladnes, both with thankesgiuings and with songs, cymbales, violes and with harpes.

٢٨ 28 فَاحْتَشَدَ الْمُرَنِّمُونَ قَادِمِينَ مِنَ الضَّوَاحِي الْمُحِيطَةِ بِأُورُشَلِيمَ وَمِنْ ضِيَاعِ النَّطُوفَاتِيِّ،

Then the singers gathered themselues together both from the plaine countrey about Ierusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi,

٢٩ 29 وَمِنْ بَيْتِ الْجِلْجَالِ وَمِنْ حُقُولِ جَبَعَ وَعَزْمُوتَ لأَنَّ الْمُرَتِّلِينَ بَنَوْا لأَنْفُسِهِمْ ضِيَاعاً حَوْلَ أُورُشَلِيمَ.

And from the house of Gilgal, and out of the countreis of Geba, and Azmaueth: for the singers had built them villages round about Ierusalem.

٣٠ 30 وَتَقَدَّسَ الْكَهَنَةُ وَاللّاوِيُّونَ وَطَهَّرُوا الشَّعْبَ وَالأَبْوَابَ والسُّورَ،

And the Priests and Leuites were purified, and clensed the people, and the gates, and the wall.

٣١ 31 وَأَصْعَدْتُ رُؤَسَاءَ يَهُوذَا عَلَى السُّورِ، وَأَقَمْتُ أَيْضاً فِرْقَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْمُرَتِّلِينَ بِالْحَمْدِ، فَانْطَلَقَتْ وَاحِدَةٌ فِي مَوْكِبٍ يَمِيناً فِي اتِّجَاهِ بَابِ الدِّمْنِ،

And I brought vp the princes of Iudah vpon the wall, and appointed two great companies to giue thankes, and the one went on the right hand of the wall toward the dung gate.

٣٢ 32 وَسَارَ وَرَاءَهَا هُوشَعْيَا وَنِصْفُ رُؤَسَاءِ يَهُوذَا،

And after them went Hoshaiah, and halfe of the princes of Iudah,

٣٣ 33 وَعَزَرْيَا وَعِزْرَا وَمَشُلّامُ،

And Azariah, Ezra and Meshullam,

٣٤ 34 وَيَهُوذَا وَبَنْيَامِينُ وَشَمَعْيَا وَيِرْمِيَا،

Iudah, Beniamin, and Shemaiah, and Ieremiah,

٣٥ 35 وَمِنَ الْكَهَنَةِ النَّافِخِينَ بِالأَبْوَاقِ زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يُونَاثَانَ بْنِ شَمَعْيَا بْنِ مَتَّنْيَا بْنِ مِيخَايَا بْنِ زَكُّورَ بْنِ آسَافَ،

And of the Priests sonnes with trumpets, Zechariah the sonne of Ionathan, the sonne of Shemaiah, the sonne of Mattaniah, the sonne of Michaiah, the sonne of Zaccur, ye sonne of Asaph.

٣٦ 36 وَأَقْرِبَاؤُهُ شَمَعْيَا وَعَزَرْئِيلُ وَمِلَلايُ وَجِلَلايُ وَمَاعَايُ وَنَثَنْئِيلُ وَيَهُوذَا وَحَنَانِي عَازِفِينَ عَلَى آلاتِ غِنَاءِ دَاوُدَ رَجُلِ اللهِ، يَتَقَدَّمُهُمْ عِزْرَا الْكَاتِبُ.

And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Iudah, Hanani, with the musicall instruments of Dauid the man of God: and Ezra the scribe went before them.

٣٧ 37 وَعِنْدَمَا وَصَلُوا إِلَى بَابِ الْعَيْنِ ارْتَقَوْا الدَّرَجَ الْمُؤَدِّيَ إِلَى مَدِينَةِ دَاوُدَ بِمُوَازَاةِ مُرْتَقَى السُّورِ فَوْقَ قَصْرِ دَاوُدَ، وَاتَّجَهُوا نَحْوَ بَابِ الْمَاءِ شَرْقاً.

And to the gate of the fountaine, euen ouer against them went they vp by the staires of the citie of Dauid, at the going vp of the wall beyond the house of Dauid, euen vnto the water gate Eastward.

٣٨ 38 وَسَارَتِ الْفِرْقَةُ الثَّانِيَةُ مِنَ الْمُرَتِّلِينَ بِالْحَمْدِ مُقَابِلَهُمْ فِي مَوْكِبٍ، وَأَنَا وَرَاءَهَا فِي طَلِيعَةِ نِصْفِ الشَّعْبِ الَّذِي اكْتَظَّ بِهِ السُّورُ، مِنْ عِنْدِ بُرْجِ التَّنَانِيرِ إِلَى السُّورِ الْعَرِيضِ.

And the seconde companie of them that gaue thankes, went on the other side, and I after them, and the halfe of the people was vpon the wall, and vpon the towre of the furnaces euen vnto the broad wall.

٣٩ 39 وَمِنْ فَوْقِ بَابِ أَفْرَايِمَ وَفَوْقَ الْبَابِ الْعَتِيقِ وَفَوْقَ بَابِ السَّمَكِ وَبُرْجِ حَنَنْئِيلَ وَبُرْجِ الْمِئَةِ إِلَى بَابِ الضَّأْنِ وَتَوَقَّفُوا عِنْدَ بَابِ السِّجْنِ.

And vpon the gate of Ephraim, and vpon the olde gate, and vpon the fishgate, and the towre of Hananeel, and the towre of Meah, euen vnto the sheepegate: and they stood in the gate of the warde.

٤٠ 40 ثُمَّ اجْتَمَعَتِ الْفِرْقَتَانِ الْمُرَتِّلَتَانِ بِالْحَمْدِ فِي هَيْكَلِ اللهِ، وَكَذَلِكَ أَنَا وَنِصْفُ الْقَادَةِ،

So stood the two companies (of them that gaue thankes) in the house of God, and I and the halfe of the rulers with me.

٤١ 41 وَالْكَهَنَةُ أَلِيَاقِيمُ وَمَعْسِيَا وَمِنْيَامِينُ وَمِيخَايَا وَأَلْيُوعِينَايُ وَزَكَرِيَّا وَحَنَنْيَا مِنْ نَافِخِي الأَبْوَاقِ،

The Priests also, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, with trumpets,

٤٢ 42 وَمَعْسِيَا وَشَمَعْيَا وَأَلِعَازَارُ وَعُزِّي وَيَهُوحَانَانُ وَمَلْكِيَّا وَعِيلامُ وَعَازَرُ، وَالْمُرَتِّلُونَ الَّذِينَ رَنَّمُوا بِقِيَادَةِ يِزْرَحْيَا.

And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Vzzi, and Iehohanan, and Malchiiah, and Elam, and Ezer: and the singers sang loude, hauing Izrahiah which was the ouerseer.

٤٣ 43 وَذَبَحُوا فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ قَرَابِينَ كَثِيرَةً وَفَرِحُوا لأَنَّ اللهَ مَلأَهُمْ بِغِبْطَةٍ عَظِيمَةٍ، وَابْتَهَجَ الأَوْلادُ وَالنِّسَاءُ أَيْضاً حَتَّى تَرَدَّدَتْ أَصْدَاءُ فَرَحِ أُورُشَلِيمَ عَنْ بُعْدٍ.

And the same day they offered great sacrifices and reioyced: for God had giuen them great ioy, so that both the women, and the children were ioyfull: and the ioy of Ierusalem was heard farre off.

٤٤ 44 وَعُهِدَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ بِالْمَخَازِنِ وَالْخَزَائِنِ وَالرَّفَائِعِ وَأَوَائِلِ الْمَحَاصِيلِ وَالْعُشُورِ إِلَى أَشْخَاصٍ مُعَيَّنِينَ، لِيَجْمَعُوا فِيهَا مِنْ حُقُولِ الْمُدُنِ مَا نَصَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّرِيعَةُ مِنْ مُخَصَّصَاتِ الْكَهَنَةِ وَاللّاوِيِّينَ، لأَنَّ أَبْنَاءَ سِبْطِ يَهُوذَا فَرِحُوا بِالْكَهَنَةِ وَاللّاوِيِّينَ الْقَائِمِينَ

Also at the same time were men appointed ouer the chambers of the store for the offerings (for the first fruites, and for the tithes) to gather into them out of the fieldes of the cities, the portions of the Law for the Priests and the Leuites: for Iudah reioyced for the Priests and for the Leuites, that serued.

٤٥ 45 بِخِدْمَةِ إِلَهِهِمْ، وَخَدَمَاتِ التَّطْهِيرِ، وَكَذَلِكَ بِالْمُرَتِّلِينَ وَحُرَّاسِ أَبْوَابِ الْهَيْكَلِ الْمُتَوَلِّينَ مَهَامَّهُمْ، بِمُقْتَضَى أَمْرِ دَاوُدَ وَابْنِهِ سُلَيْمَانَ.

And both the singers and the Leuites kept the ward of their God, and the warde of the purification according to the commandement of Dauid, and Salomon his sonne.

٤٦ 46 فَقَدْ تَعَيَّنَ مُنْذُ أَيَّامِ دَاوُدَ وَآسَافَ فِي الْحِقَبِ الْغَابِرَةِ رُؤَسَاءُ مُرَتِّلِينَ لِقِيَادَةِ تَرَانِيمِ التَّسْبِيحِ وَالْحَمْدِ لِلهِ.

For in the dayes of Dauid and Asaph, of olde were chiefe singers, and songs of praise and thankesgiuing vnto God.

٤٧ 47 وَكَانَ الإِسْرَائِيلِيُّونَ فِي أَيَّامِ زَرُبَّابِلَ وَنَحَمْيَا يَقُومُونَ بِتَزْوِيدِ الْمُرَتِّلِينَ وَحُرَّاسِ أَبْوَابِ الْهَيْكَلِ وَاللّاوِيِّينَ بِالطَّعَامِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ، وَيَقُومُ اللّاوِيُّونَ بِتَقْدِيمِ جُزْءٍ مِمَّا يَتَلَقَّوْنَهُ مِنْ طَعَامٍ لِلْكَهَنَةِ.

And in the dayes of Zerubbabel, and in the dayes of Nehemiah did al Israel giue portions vnto the singers and porters, euerie day his portion, and they gaue the holy things vnto the Leuites, and the Leuites gaue the holy things vnto the sonnes of Aaron.
