< مَراثِي إرْمِي 3 >
أَنَا هُوَ الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي شَهِدَ الْبَلِيَّةَ الَّتِي أَنْزَلَهَا قَضِيبُ سُخْطِهِ. | ١ 1 |
I am the man who has seen affliction under the rod of God’s wrath.
قَادَنِي وَسَيَّرَنِي فِي الظُّلْمَةِ مِنْ غَيْرِ نُورٍ. | ٢ 2 |
He has driven me away and made me walk in darkness instead of light.
حَقّاً إِنَّهُ يَمُدُّ يَدَهُ عَلَيَّ مَرَّةً تِلْوَ الْمَرَّةِ طُولَ النَّهَارِ. | ٣ 3 |
Indeed, He keeps turning His hand against me all day long.
أَبْلَى لَحْمِي وَجِلْدِي. هَشَّمَ عِظَامِي. | ٤ 4 |
He has worn away my flesh and skin; He has shattered my bones.
حَاصَرَنِي وَأَحَاطَنِي بِالْعَلْقَمِ وَالْمَشَقَّةِ. | ٥ 5 |
He has besieged me and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.
أَسْكَنَنِي فِي الظُّلْمَةِ كَمَوْتَى الْحِقَبِ الْغَابِرَةِ. | ٦ 6 |
He has made me dwell in darkness like those dead for ages.
سَيَّجَ حَوْلِي حَتَّى لَا أُفْلِتَ. أَثْقَلَ عَلَيَّ قُيُودِي. | ٧ 7 |
He has walled me in so I cannot escape; He has weighed me down with chains.
حَتَّى حِينَ أَصْرُخُ وَأَسْتَغِيثُ يَصُدُّ صَلاتِي. | ٨ 8 |
Even when I cry out and plead for help, He shuts out my prayer.
قَدْ أَغْلَقَ عَلَيَّ طُرُقِي بِحِجَارَةٍ مَنْحُوتَةٍ، وَجَعَلَ مَسَالِكِي مُلْتَوِيَةً. | ٩ 9 |
He has barred my ways with cut stones; He has made my paths crooked.
هُوَ لِي كَدُبٍّ مُتَرَبِّصٍ، وَكَأَسَدٍ مُتَرَصِّدٍ فِي مَكْمَنِهِ. | ١٠ 10 |
He is a bear lying in wait, a lion hiding in ambush.
أَضَلَّ طُرُقِي وَمَزَّقَنِي إِرْباً. دَمَّرَنِي. | ١١ 11 |
He forced me off my path and tore me to pieces; He left me without help.
وَتَّرَ قَوْسَهُ وَنَصَبَنِي هَدَفاً لِسَهْمِهِ. | ١٢ 12 |
He bent His bow and set me as the target for His arrow.
اخْتَرَقَ كُلْيَتَيَّ بِنِبَالِ جُعْبَتِهِ. | ١٣ 13 |
He pierced my kidneys with His arrows.
صِرْتُ مَثَارَ هُزْءٍ لِشَعْبِي وَأُهْجِيَةً لَهُمُ الْيَوْمَ كُلَّهُ. | ١٤ 14 |
I am a laughingstock to all my people; they mock me in song all day long.
أَشْبَعَنِي مَرَارَةً، وَأَرْوَانِي أَفْسَنْتِيناً. | ١٥ 15 |
He has filled me with bitterness; He has intoxicated me with wormwood.
هَشَّمَ أَسْنَانِي بِالْحَصَى، وَطَمَرَنِي بِالرَّمَادِ. | ١٦ 16 |
He has ground my teeth with gravel and trampled me in the dust.
فَتَنَاءَتْ نَفْسِي عَنِ السَّلامِ، وَنَسِيتُ طَعْمَ الْخَيْرَاتِ. | ١٧ 17 |
My soul has been deprived of peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.
فَقُلْتُ: «تَلاشَتْ قُوَّتِي، وَكُلُّ مَا كُنْتُ أَرْجُوهُ مِنَ الرَّبِّ». | ١٨ 18 |
So I say, “My strength has perished, along with my hope from the LORD.”
اُذْكُرْ بَلِيَّتِي وَتَيَهَانِي وَالأَفْسَنْتِينَ وَالْمَرَارَةَ. | ١٩ 19 |
Remember my affliction and wandering, the wormwood and the gall.
مَا بَرِحَتْ نَفْسِي تَذْكُرُهَا وَهِيَ مُنْحَنِيَةٌ فِي دَاخِلِي. | ٢٠ 20 |
Surely my soul remembers and is humbled within me.
وَلَكِنْ هَذَا مَا أُنَاجِي بِهِ نَفْسِي، لِذَلِكَ يَغْمُرُنِي الرَّجَاءُ: | ٢١ 21 |
Yet I call this to mind, and therefore I have hope:
مِنْ إِحْسَانَاتِ الرَّبِّ أَنَّنَا لَمْ نَفْنَ، لأَنَّ مَرَاحِمَهُ لَا تَزُولُ. | ٢٢ 22 |
Because of the loving devotion of the LORD we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail.
تَتَجَدَّدُ فِي كُلِّ صَبَاحٍ. فَائِقَةٌ أَمَانَتُكَ. | ٢٣ 23 |
They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!
تَقُولُ نَفْسِي: «الرَّبُّ هُوَ نَصِيبِي فَلِذَلِكَ أَرْجُوهُ». | ٢٤ 24 |
“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.”
الرَّبُّ صَالِحٌ لِمَنْ يَرْجُونَهُ وَلِلنَّفْسِ الَّتِي تَلْتَمِسُهُ. | ٢٥ 25 |
The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.
خَيْرٌ لِلْمَرْءِ أَنْ يَنْتَظِرَ بِصَمْتٍ خَلاصَ الرَّبِّ. | ٢٦ 26 |
It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
خَيْرٌ لِلْمَرْءِ أَنْ يَحْمِلَ النِّيرَ فِي حَدَاثَتِهِ. | ٢٧ 27 |
It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is still young.
لِيَعْتَكِفْ وَحِيداً فِي صَمْتٍ لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ وَضَعَ النِّيرَ عَلَيْهِ. | ٢٨ 28 |
Let him sit alone in silence, for God has disciplined him.
لِيُوَارِ وَجْهَهُ فِي التُّرَابِ تَذَلُّلاً، عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ هُنَاكَ رَجَاءٌ. | ٢٩ 29 |
Let him bury his face in the dust— perhaps there is still hope.
لِيَبْذُلْ خَدَّهُ لِلاطِمِ، وَيَشْبَعْ تَعْيِيراً. | ٣٠ 30 |
Let him offer his cheek to the one who would strike him; let him be filled with reproach.
لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ لَا يَنْبِذُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ. | ٣١ 31 |
For the Lord will not cast us off forever.
فَإِنَّهُ وَلَوْ أَحْزَنَ يَرْأَفُ بِمُقْتَضَى رَحْمَتِهِ الْفَائِقَةِ. | ٣٢ 32 |
Even if He causes grief, He will show compassion according to His abundant loving devotion.
لأَنَّهُ لَا يَتَعَمَّدُ أَنْ يَبْتَلِيَ أَبْنَاءَ الْبَشَرِ بِالْبُؤْسِ وَالأَسَى، | ٣٣ 33 |
For He does not willingly afflict or grieve the sons of men.
وَلا أَنْ يَسْحَقَ أَسْرَى الأَرْضِ تَحْتَ الأَقْدَامِ، | ٣٤ 34 |
To crush underfoot all the prisoners of the land,
وَلا أَنْ يَجُورَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى حُقُوقِ الإِنْسَانِ، أَمَامَ عَيْنَيِ الرَّبِّ الْعَلِيِّ | ٣٥ 35 |
to deny a man justice before the Most High,
أَوْ أَنْ لَا يُنْصَفَ الإِنْسَانُ فِي دَعْوَاهُ. أَلا يَرَى الرَّبُّ هَذِهِ الأُمُورَ؟ | ٣٦ 36 |
to subvert a man in his lawsuit— of these the Lord does not approve.
مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَقْضِي بِأَمْرٍ فَيَتَحَقَّقَ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنِ الرَّبُّ قَدْ أَمَرَ بِهِ؟ | ٣٧ 37 |
Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the Lord has ordained it?
أَلَيْسَ مِنْ فَمِ الْعَلِيِّ يَصْدُرُ الضُّرُّ وَالْخَيْرُ؟ | ٣٨ 38 |
Do not both adversity and good come from the mouth of the Most High?
فَلِمَاذَا يَشْتَكِي الإِنْسَانُ الْحَيُّ حِينَ يُعَاقَبُ عَلَى خَطَايَاهُ؟ | ٣٩ 39 |
Why should any mortal man complain, in view of his sins?
لِنَفْحَصْ طُرُقَنَا وَنَخْتَبِرْهَا وَنَرْجِعْ إِلَى الرَّبِّ. | ٤٠ 40 |
Let us examine and test our ways, and turn back to the LORD.
لِنَرْفَعْ قُلُوبَنَا وَأَيْدِيَنَا إِلَى اللهِ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ. | ٤١ 41 |
Let us lift up our hearts and hands to God in heaven:
قَدْ تَعَدَّيْنَا وَتَمَرَّدْنَا، وَأَنْتَ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ. | ٤٢ 42 |
“We have sinned and rebelled; You have not forgiven.”
لَفَّعْتَ نَفْسَكَ بِالْغَضَبِ وَتَعَقَّبْتَنَا. قَتَلْتَ مِنْ غَيْرِ رَحْمَةٍ. | ٤٣ 43 |
You have covered Yourself in anger and pursued us; You have killed without pity.
تَلَفَّعْتَ بِالسَّحَابِ حَتَّى لَا تَبْلُغَ إِلَيْكَ صَلاةٌ. | ٤٤ 44 |
You have covered Yourself with a cloud that no prayer can pass through.
قَدْ جَعَلْتَنَا أَوْسَاخاً وَأَقْذَاراً بَيْنَ الشُّعُوبِ. | ٤٥ 45 |
You have made us scum and refuse among the nations.
فَتَحَ عَلَيْنَا جَمِيعُ أَعْدَائِنَا أفْوَاهَهُمْ، | ٤٦ 46 |
All our enemies open their mouths against us.
وَحَلَّ بِنَا الرُّعْبُ وَالْهَلاكُ وَالدَّمَارُ وَالسَّحْقُ. | ٤٧ 47 |
Panic and pitfall have come upon us— devastation and destruction.
تَفِيضُ عَيْنَايَ بِأَنْهَارِ مِيَاهٍ عَلَى دَمَارِ ابْنَةِ شَعْبِي. | ٤٨ 48 |
Streams of tears flow from my eyes over the destruction of the daughter of my people.
لَنْ تَكُفَّ عَيْنَايَ عَنِ الْبُكَاءِ أَبداً، | ٤٩ 49 |
My eyes overflow unceasingly, without relief,
حَتَّى يُشْرِفَ الرَّبُّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَيُبْصِرَ. | ٥٠ 50 |
until the LORD looks down from heaven and sees.
تَتْلَفُ عَيْنَايَ عَلَى مَصِيرِ كُلِّ بَنَاتِ مَدِينَتِي. | ٥١ 51 |
My eyes bring grief to my soul because of all the daughters of my city.
قَدِ اصْطَادَنِي، كَعُصْفُورٍ، أَعْدَائِي الَّذِينَ لَمْ أُسِئْ إِلَيْهِمْ، | ٥٢ 52 |
Without cause my enemies hunted me like a bird.
طَرَحُونِي حَيًّا فِي الْجُبِّ وَرَجَمُونِي بِالْحِجَارَةِ. | ٥٣ 53 |
They dropped me alive into a pit and cast stones upon me.
طَغَتِ الْمِيَاهُ فَوْقَ رَأْسِي، فَقُلْتُ: «قَدْ هَلَكْتُ». | ٥٤ 54 |
The waters flowed over my head, and I thought I was going to die.
اسْتَغَثْتُ بِاسْمِكَ يَا رَبُّ مِنْ أَعْمَاقِ الْجُبِّ، | ٥٥ 55 |
I called on Your name, O LORD, out of the depths of the Pit.
فَسَمِعْتَ صَوْتِي. لَا تَصُمَّ أُذُنَيْكَ عَنْ صُرَاخِ اسْتِغَاثَتِي. | ٥٦ 56 |
You heard my plea: “Do not ignore my cry for relief.”
اقْتَرَبْتَ حِينَ دَعَوْتُكَ إِذْ قُلْتَ: «لا تَخَفْ». | ٥٧ 57 |
You drew near when I called on You; You said, “Do not be afraid.”
قَدْ دَافَعْتَ عَنْ دَعْوَايَ يَا رَبُّ، وَافْتَدَيْتَ حَيَاتِي. | ٥٨ 58 |
You defend my cause, O Lord; You redeem my life.
أَنْتَ شَهِدْتَ مَا أَسَاءُوا بِهِ إِلَيَّ يَا رَبُّ، فَاقْضِ فِي دَعْوَايَ. | ٥٩ 59 |
You have seen, O LORD, the wrong done to me; vindicate my cause!
قَدْ رَأَيْتَ انْتِقَامَهُمْ كُلَّهُ وَسَائِرَ مُؤَامَرَاتِهِمْ عَلَيَّ. | ٦٠ 60 |
You have seen all their malice, all their plots against me.
سَمِعْتَ تَعْيِيرَهُمْ يَا رَبُّ، وَجَمِيعَ مُؤَامَرَاتِهِمْ عَلَيَّ. | ٦١ 61 |
O LORD, You have heard their insults, all their plots against me—
وَسَمِعْتَ كَلامَ أَعْدَائِي وَتَدْبِيرَاتِهِمْ ضِدِّي الْيَوْمَ كُلَّهُ. | ٦٢ 62 |
the slander and murmuring of my assailants against me all day long.
رَاقِبْ جُلُوسَهُمْ وَقِيَامَهُمْ، فَقَدْ أَصْبَحْتُ أُهْجِيَةً لَهُمْ. | ٦٣ 63 |
When they sit and when they rise, see how they mock me in song.
جَازِهِمْ يَا رَبُّ بِمُقْتَضَى مَا جَنَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ. | ٦٤ 64 |
You will pay them back what they deserve, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.
اجْعَلْ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ غَشَاوَةً، وَلْتَكُنْ لَعْنَتُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ. | ٦٥ 65 |
Put a veil of anguish over their hearts; may Your curse be upon them!
تَعَقَّبْهُمْ بِسُخْطٍ وَأَهْلِكْهُمْ مِنْ تَحْتِ سَمَاوَاتِكَ يَا رَبُّ. | ٦٦ 66 |
You will pursue them in anger and exterminate them from under Your heavens, O LORD.
