يوحنَّا 12

١ 1 وَقَبْلَ الْفِصْحِ بِسِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ جَاءَ يَسُوعُ إِلَى بَيْتَ عَنْيَا، بَلْدَةِ لِعَازَرَ الَّذِي أَقَامَهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ الأَمْوَاتِ.

Then six days before the Passover, Yeshua came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Yeshua raised from the dead.

٢ 2 فَأُقِيمَتْ لَهُ وَلِيمَةُ عَشَاءٍ، وَأَخَذَتْ مَرْثَا تَخْدِمُ، وَكَانَ لِعَازَرُ أَحَدَ الْمُتَّكِئِينَ مَعَهُ.

So they prepared a dinner for him there; and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with him.

٣ 3 فَأَخَذَتْ مَرْيَمُ مَناً (أَيْ ثُلْثَ لِتْرٍ) مِنْ عِطْرِ النَّارِدِينِ الْخَالِصِ الْغَالِي الثَّمَنِ، وَدَهَنَتْ بِهِ قَدَمَيْ يَسُوعَ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَتْهُمَا بِشَعْرِهَا، فَمَلأَتِ الرَّائِحَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ أَرْجَاءَ الْبَيْتِ كُلِّهِ.

Miriam, therefore, took a pound of ointment of pure nard, very precious, and anointed the feet of Yeshua, and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.

٤ 4 فَقَالَ أَحَدُ التَّلامِيذِ، وَهُوَ يَهُوذَا الإِسْخَريُوطِيُّ، الَّذِي كَانَ سَيَخُونُ يَسُوعَ:

Then Judah the Iskriot, one of his talmidim, who would betray him, said,

٥ 5 «لِمَاذَا لَمْ يُبَعْ هَذَا الْعِطْرُ بِثَلاثِ مِئَةِ دِينَارٍ تُوَزَّعُ عَلَى الْفُقَرَاءِ؟»

"Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii, and given to the poor?"

٦ 6 وَلَمْ يَقُلْ هَذَا لأَنَّهُ كَانَ يَعْطِفُ عَلَى الْفُقَرَاءِ، بَلْ لأَنَّهُ كَانَ لِصّاً، فَقَدْ كَانَ أَمِيناً لِلصُّنْدُوقِ وَكَانَ يَخْتَلِسُ مِمَّا يُوْدَعُ فِيهِ.

Now he said this, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the money box, used to steal what was put into it.

٧ 7 فَأَجَابَهُ يَسُوعُ: «دَعْهَا! فَقَدِ احْتَفَظَتْ بِهَذَا الْعِطْرِ لِيَوْمِ دَفْنِي،

But Yeshua said, "Leave her alone, that she may keep this for the day of my burial.

٨ 8 لأَنَّ الْفُقَرَاءَ عِنْدَكُمْ فِي كُلِّ حِينٍ؛ أَمَّا أَنَا فَلَنْ أَكُونَ عِنْدَكُمْ فِي كُلِّ حِينٍ».

For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me."

٩ 9 وَعَلِمَ كَثِيرُونَ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ أَنَّ يَسُوعَ فِي بَيْتَ عَنْيَا، فَجَاءُوا لَا لِيَرَوْا يَسُوعَ فَقَطْ، بَلْ لِيَرَوْا أَيْضاً لِعَازَرَ الَّذِي أَقَامَهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ الأَمْوَاتِ.

A large crowd therefore of the Judeans learned that he was there, and they came, not for Yeshua's sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

١٠ 10 فَقَرَّرَ رُؤَسَاءُ الْكَهَنَةِ أَنْ يَقْتُلُوا لِعَازَرَ أَيْضاً،

But the chief cohanim plotted to kill Lazarus also,

١١ 11 لأَنَّ كَثِيرِينَ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ كَانُوا يَهْجُرُونَهُمْ بِسَبَبِهِ وَيُؤْمِنُونَ بِيَسُوعَ.

because on account of him many of the Jewish people went away and believed in Yeshua.

١٢ 12 وَفِي الْيَوْمِ التَّالِي، عَرَفَ الْجُمْهُورُ الْكَبِيرُ الَّذِي جَاءَ إِلَى العِيدِ أَنَّ يَسُوعَ قَادِمٌ إِلَى أُورُشَلِيمَ.

On the next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Yeshua was coming to Jerusalem,

١٣ 13 فَحَمَلُوا سَعَفَ النَّخْلِ وَخَرَجُوا لاِسْتِقْبَالِهِ هَاتِفِينَ: «أُوصَنَّا! تَبَارَكَ الآتِي بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ! إِنَّهُ مَلِكُ إِسْرَائِيلَ!»

they took the branches of the palm trees, and went out to meet him, and were shouting, "Hosanna. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel."

١٤ 14 وَوَجَدَ يَسُوعُ جَحْشاً فَرَكِبَ عَلَيْهِ، كَمَا قَدْ كُتِبَ:

And Yeshua, having found a young donkey, sat on it. As it is written,

١٥ 15 «لا تَخَافِي يَا بِنْتَ صِهْيَوْنَ، فَإِنَّ مَلِكَكِ قَادِمٌ إِلَيْكِ رَاكِباً عَلَى جَحْشِ أَتَانٍ».

"Do not be afraid, daughter of Zion. Look, your King comes, sitting on a donkey's colt."

١٦ 16 وَلَمْ يُدْرِكْ تَلامِيذُ يَسُوعَ أَوَّلَ الأَمْرِ أَنَّ هَذَا إِتْمَامٌ لِلنُّبُوءَةِ. وَلكِنْ بَعْدَمَا تَمَجَّدَ يَسُوعُ تَذَكَّرُوا أَنَّ الْكِتَابَ قَالَ هَذَا عَنْهُ، وَأَنَّهُمْ فَعَلُوا هَذَا مِنْ أَجْلِهِ.

His talmidim did not understand these things at first, but when Yeshua was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about him, and that they had done these things to him.

١٧ 17 وَالْجَمْعُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا مَعَهُ حِينَ دَعَا لِعَازَرَ مِنَ الْقَبْرِ وَأَقَامَهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ الأَمْوَاتِ، كَانُوا يَشْهَدُونَ لَهُ بِذَلِكَ.

The crowd therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, was testifying about it.

١٨ 18 وَلِذلِكَ خَرَجَتِ الْجُمُوعُ لاِسْتِقْبَالِهِ، لأَنَّهُمْ سَمِعُوا أَنَّهُ أَجْرَى تِلْكَ الآيَةَ.

For this cause also the crowd went and met him, because they heard that he had done this sign.

١٩ 19 فَقَالَ الْفَرِّيسِيُّونَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ: «أَرَأَيْتُمْ كَيْفَ أَنَّكُمْ لَمْ تَسْتَفِيدُوا شَيْئاً؟ هَا قَدِ انْطَلَقَ الْعَالَمُ كُلُّهُ وَرَاءَهُ!»

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, "See how you accomplish nothing. Look, the whole world has gone after him."

٢٠ 20 وَكَانَ بَيْنَ الَّذِينَ قَصَدُوا أُورُشَلِيمَ لِلْعِبَادَةِ فِي أَثْنَاءِ الْعِيدِ بَعْضُ الْيُونَانِيِّينَ،

Now there were certain Greeks among those that went up to worship at the feast.

٢١ 21 فَذَهَبُوا إِلَى فِيلِبُّسَ، وَهُوَ مِنْ بَيْتَ صَيْدَا فِي مِنْطَقَةِ الْجَلِيلِ، وَقَالُوا لَهُ: «يَا سَيِّدُ، نُرِيدُ أَنْ نَرَى يَسُوعَ».

These, therefore, came to Philip, who was from Beit Tzaidah of Galil, and asked him, saying, "Sir, we want to see Yeshua."

٢٢ 22 فَجَاءَ فِيلِبُّسُ وَأَخْبَرَ أَنْدَرَاوُسَ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَا مَعاً وَأَخْبَرَا يَسُوعَ.

Philip came and told Andrew, and in turn, Andrew came with Philip, and they told Yeshua.

٢٣ 23 فَقَالَ يَسُوعُ لَهُمَا: «قَدِ اقْتَرَبَتْ سَاعَةُ تَمْجِيدِ ابْنِ الإِنْسَانِ.

And Yeshua answered them, "The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.

٢٤ 24 الْحَقَّ الْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إِنَّ حَبَّةَ الْحِنْطَةِ تَبْقَى وَحِيدَةً إِنْ لَمْ تَقَعْ فِي الأَرْضِ وَتَمُتْ. أَمَّا إِذَا مَاتَتْ، فَإِنَّهَا تُنْتِجُ حَبّاً كَثِيراً.

Truly, truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.

٢٥ 25 مَنْ يَتَمَسَّكْ بِحَيَاتِهِ، يَخْسَرْهَا. وَمَنْ نَبَذَهَا فِي هَذَا الْعَالَمِ يُوَفِّرُهَا لِلْحَيَاةِ الأَبَدِيَّةِ. (aiōnios g166)

He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)

٢٦ 26 مَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَخْدِمَنِي فَلْيَتْبَعْنِي. وَحَيْثُ أَكُونُ أَنَا يَكُونُ خَادِمِي أَيْضاً. وَكُلُّ مَنْ يَخْدِمْنِي يُكْرِمْهُ أَبِي.

If anyone serves me, let him follow me; and where I am, there will my servant also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

٢٧ 27 نَفْسِي الآنَ مُضْطَرِبَةٌ، فَمَاذَا أَقُولُ؟ أَيُّهَا الآبُ أَنْقِذْنِي مِنَ السَّاعَةِ الْقَادِمَةِ عَلَيَّ؟ لا! فَمِنْ أَجْلِ هذِهِ السَّاعَةِ أَتَيْتُ.

"Now my soul is troubled; and what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour?' But for this cause I came to this hour.

٢٨ 28 أَيُّهَا الآبُ، مَجِّدِ اسْمَكَ!» فَإِذَا صَوْتٌ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ يُجِيبُ: «قَدْ مَجَّدْتُهُ وَسَأُمَجِّدُهُ أَيْضاً».

Father, glorify your name." Then there came a voice out of the sky, saying, "I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again."

٢٩ 29 فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْحَاضِرِينَ مِمَّنْ سَمِعُوا الصَّوْتَ: «هَذَا صَوْتُ رَعْدٍ!» وَلكِنَّ غَيْرَهُمْ قَالُوا: «حَدَّثَهُ مَلاكٌ».

The crowd therefore, who stood by and heard it, said that it had thundered. Others said, "An angel has spoken to him."

٣٠ 30 فَأَجَابَ يَسُوعُ: «لَمْ يَكُنْ هَذَا الصَّوْتُ لأَجْلِي بَلْ لأَجْلِكُمْ.

Yeshua answered, "This voice hasn't come for my sake, but for your sakes.

٣١ 31 الآنَ وَقْتُ الْحُكْمِ عَلَى هَذَا الْعَالَمِ! الآنَ يُطْرَدُ سَيِّدُ هَذَا الْعَالَمِ خَارِجاً!

Now is the judgment of this world. Now the prince of this world will be cast out.

٣٢ 32 وَحِينَ أَرْتَفِعُ عَنِ الأَرْضِ أَجْذِبُ إِلَيَّ الْجَمِيعَ».

And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw everyone to myself."

٣٣ 33 قَالَ هَذَا مُشِيراً إِلَى الْمِيتَةِ الَّتِي سَيَمُوتُهَا.

But he said this, signifying by what kind of death he should die.

٣٤ 34 فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْحَاضِرِينَ: «عَلَّمَتْنَا الشَّرِيعَةُ أَنَّ الْمَسِيحَ يَبْقَى حَيًّا إِلَى الأَبَدِ، فَكَيْفَ تَقُولُ إِنَّ ابْنَ الإِنْسَانِ لابُدَّ أَنْ يُعَلَّقَ؟ مَنْ هُوَ ابْنُ الإِنْسَانِ هَذَا؟» (aiōn g165)

The crowd answered him, "We have heard out of the law that the Messiah remains forever. Then how can you say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up?' Who is this Son of Man?" (aiōn g165)

٣٥ 35 فَقَالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «النُّورُ بَاقٍ مَعَكُمْ وَقْتاً قَصِيراً. فَوَاصِلُوا سَيْرَكُمْ مَادَامَ النُّورُ يُشْرِقُ عَلَيْكُمْ، لِئَلّا يُطْبِقَ عَلَيْكُمُ الظَّلامُ، فَإِنَّ الَّذِي يَمْشِي فِي الظَّلامِ لَا يَعْلَمُ أَيْنَ يَذْهَبُ.

Yeshua therefore said to them, "Yet a little while the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, that darkness does not overtake you. He who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.

٣٦ 36 آمِنُوا بِالنُّورِ مَادَامَ النُّورُ مَعَكُمْ، فَتَصِيرُوا أَبْنَاءَ النُّورِ». وَبَعْدَمَا قَالَ يَسُوعُ هَذَا، ذَهَبَ وَأَخْفَى نَفْسَهُ عَنْهُمْ.

While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become children of light." Yeshua said these things, and he departed and hid himself from them.

٣٧ 37 وَمَعَ أَنَّهُ أَجْرَى أَمَامَهُمْ آيَاتٍ كَثِيرَةً جِدّاً، لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ،

But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they did not believe in him,

٣٨ 38 لِيَتِمَّ قَوْلُ النَّبِيِّ إِشَعْيَاءَ: «يَا رَبُّ مَنْ آمَنَ بِكَلامِنَا؟ وَلِمَنْ ظَهَرَتْ يَدُ الرَّبِّ؟»

that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, "Lord, who has believed our report, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?"

٣٩ 39 فَلَمْ يَسْتَطِيعُوا أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا، لأَنَّ إِشَعْيَاءَ قَالَ أَيْضاً:

For this cause they could not believe, for Isaiah said again,

٤٠ 40 «أَعْمَى عُيُونَهُمْ وَقَسَّى قُلُوبَهُمْ، لِئَلّا يُبْصِرُوا بِعُيُونِهِمْ وَيَفْهَمُوا بِقُلُوبِهِمْ، وَيَتُوبُوا فَأَشْفِيَهُمْ».

He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.

٤١ 41 وَقَدْ قَالَ إِشَعْيَاءُ هَذَا عِنْدَمَا رَأَى مَجْدَ الرَّبِّ فَتَحَدَّثَ عَنْهُ.

Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory, and spoke of him.

٤٢ 42 وَمَعَ ذلِكَ فَإِنَّ كَثِيرِينَ مِنَ الرُّؤَسَاءِ آمَنُوا بِيَسُوعَ، دُونَ أَنْ يُجَاهِرُوا بِإِيمَانِهِمْ، مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُحْكَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِالطَّرْدِ مِنَ الْمَجْمَعِ،

Nevertheless even of the rulers many believed in him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue,

٤٣ 43 مُفَضِّلِينَ الْمَجْدَ الآتِي مِنَ النَّاسِ عَلَى الْمَجْدِ الآتِي مِنَ اللهِ.

for they loved praise from people more than praise from God.

٤٤ 44 فَقَالَ يَسُوعُ بِصَوْتٍ عَالٍ: «مَنْ يُؤْمِنْ بِي، فَهُوَ يُؤْمِنُ لَا بِي أَنَا بَلْ بِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَنِي،

Then Yeshua shouted out and said, "Whoever believes in me, believes not in me, but in him who sent me.

٤٥ 45 وَمَنْ رَآنِي، رَأَى الَّذِي أَرْسَلَنِي

And he who sees me sees him who sent me.

٤٦ 46 جِئْتُ إِلَى الْعَالَمِ نُوراً، لِكَيْ لَا يَبْقَى فِي الظَّلامِ كُلُّ مَنْ آمَنَ بِي.

I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness.

٤٧ 47 وَإذَا سَمِعَ أَحَدٌ كَلامِي وَلَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِهِ، فَأَنَا لَا أَحْكُمُ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَدْ جِئْتُ لَا لأَحْكُمَ عَلَى الْعَالَمِ، بَلْ لأُخَلِّصَ الْعَالَمَ.

And if anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

٤٨ 48 فَالَّذِي يَرْفُضُنِي وَلا يَقْبَلُ كَلامِي، لَهُ مَنْ يَحْكُمُ عَلَيْهِ: فَإِنَّ الْكَلِمَةَ الَّتِي قُلْتُهَا هِيَ تَحْكُمُ عَلَيْهِ فِي الْيَوْمِ الأَخِيرِ؛

He who rejects me, and does not accept my words, has one who judges him. The word that I spoke will judge him on the last day.

٤٩ 49 لأَنِّي لَمْ أَتَكَلَّمْ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِنْدِي، بَلْ أَقُولُ مَا أَوْصَانِي بِهِ الآبُ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَنِي

For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

٥٠ 50 وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ وَصِيَّتَهُ هِيَ حَيَاةٌ أَبَدِيَّةٌ: فَإِنَّ مَا أَقُولُهُ مِنْ كَلامٍ، أَقُولُهُ كَمَا قَالَهُ لِيَ الآبُ». (aiōnios g166)

I know that his commandment is everlasting life. The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak." (aiōnios g166)
