أيُّوب 27

١ 1 وَاسْتَطْرَدَ أَيُّوبُ يَضْرِبُ مَثَلَهُ قَائِلاً:

Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,

٢ 2 «حَيٌّ هُوَ اللهُ الَّذِي نَزَعَ حَقِّي، وَالْقَدِيرُ الَّذِي أَمَرَّ حَيَاتِي،

As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath afflicted my soul;

٣ 3 وَلَكِنْ مَادَامَتْ نَسَمَتِي فِيَّ، وَنَفْخَةُ اللهِ فِي أَنْفِي،

All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

٤ 4 فَإِنَّ شَفَتَيَّ لَنْ تَنْطِقَا بِالسُّوءِ، وَلِسَانِي لَنْ يَتَلَفَّظَ بِالْغِشِّ.

My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

٥ 5 حَاشَا لِي أَنْ أُقِرَّ بِصَوَابِ أَقْوَالِكُمْ، وَلَنْ أَتَخَلَّى عَنْ كَمَالِي حَتَّى الْمَوْتِ.

Far be it from me that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove my integrity from me.

٦ 6 أَتَشَبَّثُ بِبِرِّي وَلَنْ أَرْخِيَهُ، لأَنَّ ضَمِيرِي لَا يُؤَنِّبُنِي عَلَى يَوْمٍ مِنْ أَيَّامِي.

My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

٧ 7 لِيَكُنْ عَدُوِّي نَظِيرَ الشِّرِّيرِ، وَمُقَاوِمِي كَالْفَاجِرِ،

Let my enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.

٨ 8 إِذْ مَا هُوَ رَجَاءُ الْفَاجِرِ عِنْدَمَا يَسْتَأْصِلُهُ اللهُ وَيُزْهِقُ أَنْفَاسَهُ؟

For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

٩ 9 هَلْ يَسْتَمِعُ اللهُ إِلَى صَرْخَتِهِ إِذَا حَلَّ بِهِ ضِيقٌ؟

Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?

١٠ 10 هَلْ يُسَرُّ بِالْقَدِيرِ وَيَسْتَغِيثُ بِهِ فِي كُلِّ الأَزْمِنَةِ؟

Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?

١١ 11 إِنِّي أُعَلِّمُكُمْ عَنْ قُوَّةِ اللهِ، وَلا أَكْتُمُ عَنْكُمْ مَا لَدَى الْقَدِيرِ.

I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.

١٢ 12 فَأَنْتُمْ جَمِيعاً قَدْ عَايَنْتُمْ ذَلِكَ بِأَنْفُسِكُمْ، فَمَا بَالُكُمْ تَنْطِقُونَ بِالْبَاطِلِ قَائِلِينَ:

Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?

١٣ 13 هَذَا هُوَ نَصِيبُ الشِّرِّيرِ عِنْدَ اللهِ وَالْمِيرَاثُ الَّذِي يَنَالُهُ الظَّالِمُ مِنَ الْقَدِيرِ.

This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.

١٤ 14 إِنْ تَكَاثَرَ بَنُوهُ فَلِيَكُونُوا طَعَاماً لِلسَّيْفِ، وَنَسْلُهُ لَا يَشْبَعُ خُبْزاً.

If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.

١٥ 15 ذُرِّيَّتُهُ تَمُوتُ بِالْوَبَأِ، وَأَرَامِلُهُمْ لَا تَنُوحُ عَلَيْهِمْ.

Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.

١٦ 16 إِنْ جَمَعَ فِضَّتَهُ كَأَكْوَامِ التُّرَابِ، وَكَوَّمَ مَلابِسَ كَالطِّينِ،

Though he should heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;

١٧ 17 فَإِنَّ مَا يُعِدُّهُ مِنْ ثِيَابٍ يَرْتَدِيهِ الصِّدِّيقُ، وَالْبَرِيءُ يُوَزِّعُ الْفِضَّةَ.

He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

١٨ 18 يَبْنِي بَيْتَهُ كَبَيْتِ الْعَنْكَبُوتِ، أَوْ كَمَظَلَّةٍ صَنَعَهَا حَارِسُ الْكُرُومِ.

He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh.

١٩ 19 يَضْطَجِعُ غَنِيًّا وَيَسْتَيْقِظُ مُعْدَماً. يَفْتَحُ عَيْنَيْهِ وَإذَا بِثَرْوَتِهِ قَدْ تَلاشَتْ.

The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.

٢٠ 20 يَطْغَى عَلَيْهِ رُعْبٌ كَفَيَضَانٍ، وَتَخْطِفُهُ فِي اللَّيْلِ زَوْبَعَةٌ.

Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.

٢١ 21 تُطَوِّحُ بِهِ الرِّيحُ الشَّرْقِيَّةُ فَيَخْتَفِي وَتَقْتَلِعُهُ مِنْ مَكَانِهِ.

The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.

٢٢ 22 تُطْبِقُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ رَحْمَةٍ وَهُوَ هَارِبٌ مِنْ وَجْهِ عُنْفُوانِهَا.

For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would long to flee out of his hand.

٢٣ 23 تُصَفِّرُ الرِّيحُ عَلَيْهِ، وَتُرْعِبُهُ بِقُوَّتِهَا الْمُدَمِّرَةِ.

Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
