خرُوج 2
| وَتَزَوَّجَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَيْتِ لاوِي فَتَاةً ابْنَةَ لاوِي. | ١ 1 |
and to go: went man from house: household Levi and to take: marry [obj] daughter Levi
| فَحَمَلَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ وَأَنْجَبَتِ ابْناً، وَإذْ رَاقَهَا جَمَالُهُ خَبَّأَتْهُ ثَلاثَةَ أَشْهُرٍ. | ٢ 2 |
and to conceive [the] woman and to beget son: child and to see: see [obj] him for pleasant he/she/it and to treasure him three month
| وَلَمَّا لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ تُخْفِيَهُ بَعْدُ، أَتَتْ بِسَلَّةٍ مِنَ الْبَرْدِيِّ وَطَلَتْهَا بِالْحُمَرِ والزِّفْتِ وأَضْجَعَتِ الطِّفْلَ وَوَضَعَتْهُ بَيْنَ الْحَلْفَاءِ عَلَى ضَفَّةِ النَّهْرِ. | ٣ 3 |
and not be able still to treasure him and to take: take to/for him ark reed and to daub her in/on/with bitumen and in/on/with pitch and to set: put in/on/with her [obj] [the] youth and to set: put in/on/with reed upon lip: shore [the] Nile
| وَوَقَفَتْ أُخْتُهُ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ لِتَرَى مَا يَحْدُثُ لَهُ. | ٤ 4 |
and to stand sister his from distant to/for to know what? to make: do to/for him
| وَأَقْبَلَتِ ابْنَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ لِتَسْتَحِمَّ فِي النَّهْرِ، بَيْنَمَا رَاحَتْ وَصِيفَاتُهَا تَتَمَشَّيْنَ عَلَى ضَفَّةِ النَّهْرِ. فَرَأَتِ السَّلَّةَ بَيْنَ الْحَلْفَاءِ فَأَرْسَلَتْ وَصِيفَتَهَا لِتَأْتِيَ بِها. | ٥ 5 |
and to go down daughter Pharaoh to/for to wash: wash upon [the] Nile and maiden her to go: walk upon hand: to [the] Nile and to see: see [obj] [the] ark in/on/with midst [the] reed and to send: depart [obj] maidservant her (and to take: take her *L(abh)*)
| فَفَتَحَتْهَا وَرَأَتِ الطِّفْلَ وَإذَا هُوَ يَبْكِي، فَرَقَّتْ لَهُ وَقَالَتْ: «هَذَا مِنْ أَوْلادِ الْعِبْرَانِيِّينَ» | ٦ 6 |
and to open and to see: see him [obj] [the] youth and behold youth to weep and to spare upon him and to say from youth [the] Hebrew this
| فَقَالَتْ أُخْتُهُ لاِبْنَةِ فِرْعَوْنَ: «هَلْ أَذْهَبُ وَأَدْعُو لَكِ مُرْضِعَةً مِنَ الْعِبْرَانِيَّاتِ لِتُرْضِعَ لَكِ الْوَلَدَ؟» | ٧ 7 |
and to say sister his to(wards) daughter Pharaoh to go: went and to call: call to to/for you woman to suckle from [the] Hebrew and to suckle to/for you [obj] [the] youth
| فَأَجَابَتْهَا ابْنَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ: «اذْهَبِي»؛ فَمَضَتِ الْفَتَاةُ وَدَعَتْ أَمَّ الصَّبِيِّ. | ٨ 8 |
and to say to/for her daughter Pharaoh to go: went and to go: went [the] maiden and to call: call to [obj] mother [the] youth
| فَقَالَتْ لَهَا ابْنَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ: «خُذِي هَذَا الصَّبِيَّ وَأَرْضِعِيهِ لِي، وَأَنَا أُعْطِيكِ أُجْرَتَكِ». فَأَخَذَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ الصَّبِيَّ وَأَرْضَعَتْهُ. | ٩ 9 |

| وَلَمَّا كَبُرَ الْوَلَدُ، رَدَّتْهُ إِلَى ابْنَةِ فِرْعَوْنَ فَتَبَنَّتْهُ وَدَعَتْهُ مُوسَى (وَمَعْنَاهُ مُنْتَشَلٌ) قَائِلَةً: «إِنِّي انْتَشَلْتُهُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ». | ١٠ 10 |
and to magnify [the] youth and to come (in): bring him to/for daughter Pharaoh and to be to/for her to/for son: child and to call: call by name his Moses and to say for from [the] water to draw him
| وَحَدَثَ بَعْدَ أَنْ كَبُرَ مُوسَى أَنَّهُ ذَهَبَ لِيَفْتَقِدَ إِخْوَتَهُ الْعِبْرَانِيِّينَ وَيَشْهَدَ مَشَقَّتَهُمْ، فَلَمَحَ رَجُلاً مِصْرِيًّا يَضْرِبُ رَجُلاً عِبْرَانِيًّا، | ١١ 11 |

| فَتَلَفَّتَ حَوْلَهُ، وَإِذْ لَمْ يَجِدْ أَحَداً هُنَاكَ قَتَلَ الْمِصْرِيَّ وَطَمَرَهُ فِي الرَّمْلِ. | ١٢ 12 |

| ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فِي الْيَوْمِ الثَّانِي وَإذَا رَجُلانِ عِبْرَانِيَّانِ يَتَضَارَبَانِ، فَقَالَ لِلْمُسِيءِ: «لِمَاذَا تَضْرِبُ صَاحِبَكَ؟» | ١٣ 13 |

| فَأَجَابَهُ: «مَنْ أَقَامَكَ رَئِيساً وَقَاضِياً عَلَيْنَا؟ أَعَازِمٌ أَنْتَ عَلَى قَتْلِي كَمَا قَتَلْتَ الْمِصْرِيَّ؟» فَخَافَ مُوسَى وَقَالَ: «حَقّاً إِنَّ الْخَبَرَ قَدْ ذَاعَ». | ١٤ 14 |

| وَبَلَغَ الْخَبَرُ مَسْمَعَ فِرْعَوْنَ، فَسَعَى إِلَى قَتْلِ مُوسَى، إلّا أَنَّ مُوسَى هَرَبَ مِنْ وَجْهِ فِرْعَوْنَ، وَمَضَى لِيُقِيمَ فِي أَرْضِ مِدْيَانَ، فَبَلَغَهَا وَجَلَسَ عِنْدَ الْبِئْرِ. | ١٥ 15 |
and to hear: hear Pharaoh [obj] [the] word: thing [the] this and to seek to/for to kill [obj] Moses and to flee Moses from face Pharaoh and to dwell in/on/with land: country/planet Midian and to dwell upon [the] well
| وَكَانَ لِكَاهِنِ مِدْيَانَ سَبْعُ فَتَيَاتٍ فَأَقْبَلْنَ وَاسْتَقَيْنَ مَاءً وَمَلأْنَ الأَجْرَانَ لِيَسْقِينَ غَنَمَ أَبِيهِنَّ. | ١٦ 16 |

| فَأَتَى الرُّعَاةُ وَطَرَدُوهُنَّ. غَيْرَ أَنَّ مُوسَى هَبَّ لِنَجْدَتِهِنَّ وَسَقَى غَنَمَهُنَّ. | ١٧ 17 |
and to come (in): come [the] to pasture and to drive out: drive out them and to arise: rise Moses and to save them and to water: watering [obj] flock their
| وَعِنْدَمَا رَجَعَتِ الْفَتَيَاتُ إِلَى رَعُوئِيلَ أَبِيهِنَّ سَأَلَهُنَّ: «مَا بَالُكُنَّ بَكَّرْتُنَّ بِالرُّجُوعِ الْيَوْمَ؟» | ١٨ 18 |
and to come (in): come to(wards) Reuel father their and to say why? to hasten to come (in): come [the] day
| فَأَجَبْنَهُ: «رَجُلٌ مِصْرِيٌّ أَنْقَذَنَا مِنْ أَيْدِي الرُّعَاةِ، فَاسْتَقَى لَنَا وَلِغَنَمِنَا أَيْضاً». | ١٩ 19 |

| فَسَأَلَهُنَّ: «وَأَيْنَ هُوَ؟ لِمَاذَا تَرَكْتُنَّ الرَّجُلَ؟ ادْعُونَهُ لِيَأْكُلَ طَعَاماً». | ٢٠ 20 |

| وَقَبِلَ مُوسَى أنْ يُقِيمَ مَعَ الرَّجُلِ الَّذِي زَوَّجَهُ مِنِ ابْنَتِهِ صَفُّورَةَ. | ٢١ 21 |

| فَأَنْجَبَتْ لَهُ ابْناً دَعَاهُ جِرْشُومَ (وَمَعْنَاهُ غَرِيبٌ) إِذْ قَالَ: «كُنْتُ نَزِيلاً فِي أَرْضٍ غَرِيبَةٍ». | ٢٢ 22 |

| وَبَعْدَ مُرُورِ حِقْبَةٍ طَوِيلَةٍ مَاتَ مَلِكُ مِصْرَ. وَارْتَفَعَ أَنِينُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَصُرَاخُهُمْ مِنْ وَطْأَةِ الْعُبُودِيَّةِ، وَصَعِدَ إِلَى اللهِ. | ٢٣ 23 |

| فَأَصْغَى اللهُ إِلَى أَنِينِهِمْ، وَتَذَكَّرَ عَهْدَهُ مَعَ إِبرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ. | ٢٤ 24 |
and to hear: hear God [obj] groan their and to remember God [obj] covenant his with Abraham with Isaac and with Jacob
| وَنَظَرَ اللهُ إِلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ (وَرَقَّ لِحَالِهِمْ). | ٢٥ 25 |
and to see: see God [obj] son: descendant/people Israel and to know God
