2 تيموثاوس 2

١ 1 وَأَنْتَ يَا وَلَدِي، فَكُنْ قَوِيًّا فِي النِّعْمَةِ الَّتِي فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ.

Therefore, my son, be strong in the favor which is through Christ Jesus.

٢ 2 وَالتَّعَالِيمُ الَّتِي سَمِعْتَهَا مِنِّي بِحُضُورِ شُهُودٍ عَدِيدِينَ، أَوْدِعْهَا أَمَانَةً بَيْنَ أَيْدِي أُنَاسٍ جَدِيرِينَ بِالثِّقَةِ، يَكُونُونَ قَادِرِينَ عَلَى تَعْلِيمِ الآخَرِينَ.

And what things you have heard from me by many witnesses, these commit in trust to faithful men, who shall be fit also to teach others.

٣ 3 شَارِكْ فِي احْتِمَالِ الآلامِ كَجُنْدِيٍّ صَالِحٍ لِلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ.

Endure evil as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

٤ 4 وَمَا مِنْ مُجَنَّدٍ يُرْبِكُ نَفْسَهُ بِشُؤُونِ الْحَيَاةِ إِذَا رَغِبَ فِي إِرضَاءِ مَنْ جَنَّدَهُ.

No man who wars entangles himself with the occupations of this life, that he may please him, who has chosen him to be a soldier.

٥ 5 كَمَا أَنَّ الْمُصَارِعَ لَا يَفُوزُ بِالإِكْلِيلِ إِلَّا إِذَا صَارَعَ بِحَسَبِ الْقَوَانِينِ.

And also if one contend in the games, he is not crowned unless he contend according to the laws.

٦ 6 كَذَلِكَ الْفَلَّاحُ الَّذِي يَشْتَغِلُ بِجِدٍّ يَجِبُ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ يَنَالُ حِصَّتَهُ مِنَ الْغَلَّةِ.

It becomes the husbandman to labor, before he partakes of the fruits.

٧ 7 فَكِّرْ فِي مَا أَقُولُهُ، فَإِنَّ الرَّبَّ سَيَهَبُكَ فَهْماً فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ.

Consider what I say; and may the Lord give you understanding in all things!

٨ 8 اذْكُرْ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحَ الَّذِي أُقِيمَ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ، وَهُوَ مِنْ نَسْلِ دَاوُدَ، كَمَا أُعْلِنُهُ فِي الإِنْجِيلِ

Remember, Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, has been raised from the dead, according to my gospel;

٩ 9 الَّذِي لأَجْلِ التَّبْشِيرِ بِهِ أُقَاسِي حَتَّى الْقُيُودَ كَأَنِّي فَاعِلُ شَرٍّ. إِلَّا أَنَّ كَلِمَةَ اللهِ لَا تُكَبِّلُهَا الْقُيُودُ.

for which I suffer evil as a malefactor, even to bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

١٠ 10 لِهَذَا السَّبَبِ أَحْتَمِلُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِصَبْرٍ لأَجْلِ الَّذِينَ اخْتَارَهُمُ اللهُ، لِكَيْ يَحْصُلُوا، هُمْ أَيْضاً، عَلَى الْخَلاصِ الَّذِي فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ مَعَ الْمَجْدِ الأَبَدِيِّ. (aiōnios g166)

For this cause I patiently bear all things on account of the elect; that they, indeed, may obtain the salvation which is by Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (aiōnios g166)

١١ 11 وَمَا أَصْدَقَ الْقَوْلَ: «إِنْ كُنَّا قَدْ مُتْنَا مَعَهُ، فَسَوْفَ نَحْيَا أَيْضاً مَعَهُ؛

This saying is true, that if we die with him, we shall also live with him:

١٢ 12 إِنْ تَحَمَّلْنَا الآلامَ، فَسَوْفَ نَمْلِكُ أَيْضاً مَعَهُ؛ إِنْ أَنْكَرْنَاهُ، فَسَوْفَ يُنْكِرُنَا أَيْضاً؛

if we suffer patiently, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us.

١٣ 13 إِنْ تَخَلَّيْنَا عَنْ أَمَانَتِنَا، فَهُوَ يَبْقَى عَلَى أَمَانَتِهِ، إِذْ لَا يُمْكِنُ أَنْ يَتَنَكَّرَ لِذَاتِهِ!»

Though we be unfaithful, he abides faithful; he can not deny himself.

١٤ 14 بِهذِهِ الأُمُورِ ذَكِّرْ، شَاهِداً فِي حَضْرَةِ اللهِ أَنْ لَا تَنْشَأَ الْمُجَادَلاتُ الْكَلامِيَّةُ، وَهِيَ لَا تَنْفَعُ شَيْئاً، غَيْرَ تَخْرِيبِ سَامِعِيهَا.

Put them in remembrance of these things; earnestly testifying to them in the presence of the Lord, not to fight about words for nothing useful, but to the subverting of the hearers.

١٥ 15 اجْتَهِدْ أَنْ تُقَدِّمَ نَفْسَكَ لِلهِ فَائِزاً فِي الامْتِحَانِ، عَامِلاً لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ مَا يَدْعُو لِلْخَجَلِ، مُفَصِّلاً كَلِمَةَ الْحَقِّ بِاسْتِقَامَةٍ.

Strive to exhibit yourself to God an approved workman, irreproachable, rightly dividing the word of truth.

١٦ 16 أَمَّا الأَحَادِيثُ الْبَاطِلَةُ الدَّنِسَةُ، فَتَجَنَّبْهَا؛ فَإِنَّ الْمُنْصَرِفِينَ إِلَيْهَا يَتَقَدَّمُونَ إِلَى فُجُورٍ أَفْظَعَ،

But profane empty babblings resist, for they will increase to more ungodliness.

١٧ 17 وَكَلامُهُمْ يَنْهَشُ كَالآكِلَةِ، وَمِنْهُمْ هِيمِنَايُوسُ وَفِيلِيتُوسُ،

And their word will eat as a gangrene: for whom are Hymeneus and Philetus;

١٨ 18 اللَّذَانِ زَاغَا عَنِ الْحَقِّ؛ إِذْ يَزْعُمَانِ أَنَّ الْقِيَامَةَ قَدْ حَدَثَتْ، وَيَهْدِمَانِ إِيمَانَ بَعْضِ النَّاسِ.

who, concerning the truth, have erred, affirming that the resurrection has already happened, and do subvert the faith of some.

١٩ 19 إِلَّا أَنَّ الأَسَاسَ الرَّاسِخَ الَّذِي وَضَعَهُ اللهُ يَظَلُّ ثَابِتاً، وَعَلَيْهِ هَذَا الْخَتْمُ: «الرَّبُّ يَعْرِفُ خَاصَّتَهُ»، وَأَيْضاً: «لِيَنْفَصِلْ عَنِ الإِثْمِ كُلُّ مَنْ يُسَمِّي اسْمَ الرَّبِّ!»

Nevertheless, the foundation of God stands firm, having this inscription, The Lord has made known them who are his: -- and, Let every one who names the name of Christ, depart from iniquity.

٢٠ 20 وَإِنَّمَا، فِي بَيْتٍ كَبِيرٍ، لَا تَكُونُ الأَوَانِي كُلُّهَا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَحَسْبُ، بَلْ يَكُونُ بَعْضُهَا مِنَ الْخَشَبِ وَالْفَخَّارِ أَيْضاً. كَمَا يَكُونُ بَعْضُهَا لِلاسْتِعْمَالِ الرَّفِيعِ، وَبَعْضُهَا لِلاسْتِعْمَالِ الْوَضِيعِ.

But, in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earthenware; some to honor, and some to dishonor.

٢١ 21 إِذَن، الَّذِي يَنْفَصِلُ عَنْ هَذِهِ الأَخِيرَةِ، مُطَهِّراً نَفْسَهُ، يَكُونُ إِنَاءً لِلاسْتِعْمَالِ الرَّفِيعِ، مُقَدَّساً، نَافِعاً لِرَّبِّ الْبَيْتِ، مُتَأَهِّباً لِكُلِّ عَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ.

If, then, a man will cleanse himself well from these, he will be a vessel appointed to honor, sanctified, and very profitable for the master's use, prepared for every good work.

٢٢ 22 إِنَّمَا اهْرُبْ مِنَ الشَّهَوَاتِ الشَّبَابِيَّةِ، وَاسْعَ وَرَاءَ الْبِرِّ وَالإِيمَانِ وَالْمَحَبَّةِ وَالسَّلامِ، مُشَارِكاً الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ الرَّبَّ مِنْ قَلْبٍ نَقِيٍّ.

Flee, therefore, youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with them who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

٢٣ 23 أَمَّا الْمُجَادَلاتُ الْغَبِيَّةُ الْحَمْقَاءُ، فَتَجَنَّبْهَا، عَالِماً أَنَّهَا تُوَلِّدُ الْمُشَاجَرَاتِ.

Moreover, foolish and ignorant questions reject, knowing that they beget contentions;

٢٤ 24 وَعَبْدُ الرَّبِّ يَجِبُ أَلَّا يَتَشَاجَرَ، بَلْ أَنْ يَكُونَ مُتَرَفِّقاً تُجَاهَ الْجَمِيعِ، قَادِراً عَلَى التَّعْلِيمِ، يَتَحَمَّلُ الْمَشَقَّاتِ بِصَبْرٍ،

and the servant of the Lord must not be contentious, but gentle toward all men, fit to teach, patiently bearing evil,

٢٥ 25 وَيُصَحِّحُ بِالْوَدَاعَةِ الْمُقَاوِمِينَ، عَسَى أَنْ يَمْنَحَهُمُ اللهُ التَّوْبَةَ، فَيَعْرِفُوا الْحَقَّ بِالتَّمَامِ،

in meekness instructing those who set themselves in opposition; if, by any means God will give them reformation to the acknowledgment of truth;

٢٦ 26 فَيَعُودُوا إِلَى الصَّوَابِ نَاجِينَ مِنْ فَخِّ إِبْلِيسَ الَّذِي أَطْبَقَ عَلَيْهِمْ، لِيَعْمَلُوا إِرَادَتَهُ.

and they may awake up out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
