1 يوحنَّا 5

١ 1 كُلُّ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ حَقّاً أَنَّ يَسُوعَ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ، فَهُوَ مَوْلُودٌ مِنَ اللهِ. وَمَنْ يُحِبُّ الْوَالِدَ، فَلابُدَّ أَنْ يُحِبَّ الْمَوْلُودِينَ مِنْهُ أَيْضاً.

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Whoever loves the Father also loves the child who is born of him.

٢ 2 وَمَا يُثْبِتُ لَنَا مَحَبَّتَنَا لأَوْلادِ اللهِ هُوَ أَنْ نُحِبَّ اللهَ وَنَعْمَلَ بِوَصَايَاهُ.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commandments.

٣ 3 فَالْمَحَبَّةُ الْحَقِيقِيَّةُ لِلهِ هِيَ أَنْ نَعْمَلَ بِمَا يُوصِينَا بِهِ. وَهُوَ لَا يُوصِينَا وَصِيَّةً فَوْقَ طَاقَتِنَا.

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.

٤ 4 ذَلِكَ لأَنَّ الْمَوْلُودَ مِنَ اللهِ يَنْتَصِرُ عَلَى الْعَالَمِ. فَالإِيمَانُ هُوَ الَّذِي يَجْعَلُنَا نَنْتَصِرُ عَلَى الْعَالَمِ.

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.

٥ 5 وَمَنْ يَنْتَصِرُ عَلَى الْعَالَمِ إِلّا الَّذِي يُؤْمِنُ أَنَّ يَسُوعَ هُوَ ابْنُ اللهِ؟

Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

٦ 6 فَيَسُوعُ الْمَسِيحُ وَحْدَهُ جَاءَنَا بِالْمَاءِ وَالدَّمِ. لَا بِالْمَاءِ فَقَطْ، بَلْ بِالْمَاءِ وَالدَّمِ مَعاً. هَذِهِ الْحَقِيقَةُ، يَشْهَدُ لَهَا الرُّوحُ الْقُدُسُ: لأَنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَقُّ ذَاتُهُ.

This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

٧ 7 فَإِنَّ هُنَالِكَ ثَلاثَةَ شُهُودٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ، الآبُ وَالْكَلِمَةُ وَالرُّوحُ الْقُدُسُ، وَهَؤُلاءِ الثَّلاثَةُ هُمْ وَاحِدٌ.

For there are three who testify:

٨ 8 وَالَّذِينَ يَشْهَدُونَ فِي الأَرْضِ هُمْ ثَلاثَةٌ: الرُّوحُ، وَالْمَاءُ، وَالدَّمُ. وَهَؤُلاءِ الثَّلاثَةُ هُمْ فِي الْوَاحِدِ.

the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and the three agree as one.

٩ 9 إِنْ كُنَّا نُصَدِّقُ الشَّهَادَةَ الَّتِي يُقَدِّمُهَا النَّاسُ، فَالشَّهَادَةُ الَّتِي يُقَدِّمُهَا اللهُ أَعْظَمُ، لأَنَّهَا شَهَادَةٌ إِلَهِيَّةٌ شَهِدَ اللهُ بِها لابْنِهِ.

If we accept human testimony, the witness of God is greater; for this is God's testimony that he has testified concerning his Son.

١٠ 10 فَمَنْ يُؤْمِنْ بِابْنِ اللهِ، يَثِقْ فِي قَلْبِهِ بِصِحَّةِ هَذِهِ الشَّهَادَةِ. أَمَّا مَنْ لَا يُصَدِّقُ اللهَ، إِذْ يَرْفُضُ تَصْدِيقَ الشَّهَادَةِ الَّتِي شَهِدَ بِها لابْنِهِ، فَهُوَ يَتَّهِمُ اللهَ بِالْكَذِبِ.

He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son.

١١ 11 وَهذِهِ الشَّهَادَةُ هِيَ أَنَّ اللهَ أَعْطَانَا حَيَاةً أَبَدِيَّةً، وَأَنَّ هذِهِ الْحَيَاةَ هِيَ فِي ابْنِهِ. (aiōnios g166)

The testimony is this, that God gave to us everlasting life, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)

١٢ 12 فَمَنْ كَانَ لَهُ ابْنُ اللهِ كَانَتْ لَهُ الْحَيَاةُ. وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ ابْنُ اللهِ، لَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُ الْحَيَاةُ!

He who has the Son has the life. He who does not have God's Son does not have the life.

١٣ 13 يَا مَنْ آمَنْتُمْ بِاسْمِ ابْنِ اللهِ، إِنِّي كَتَبْتُ هَذَا إِلَيْكُمْ لِكَيْ تَعْرِفُوا أَنَّ الْحَيَاةَ الأَبَدِيَّةَ مِلْكٌ لَكُمْ مُنْذُ الآنَ. (aiōnios g166)

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)

١٤ 14 نَحْنُ نَثِقُ بِاللهِ ثِقَةً عَظِيمَةً تُؤَكِّدُ لَنَا أَنَّهُ يَسْمَعُ لَنَا الطَّلِبَاتِ الَّتِي نَرْفَعُهَا إِلَيْهِ، إِنْ كَانَتْ مُنْسَجِمَةً مَعَ إِرَادَتِهِ.

This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.

١٥ 15 وَمَادُمْنَا وَاثِقِينَ بِأَنَّهُ يَسْمَعُ لَنَا، مَهْمَا كَانَتْ طِلْبَاتُنَا، فَلَنَا الثِّقَةُ بِأَنَّنَا قَدْ حَصَلْنَا مِنْهُ عَلَى تِلْكَ الطَّلِبَاتِ.

And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.

١٦ 16 إِنْ رَأَى أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ وَاحِداً مِنْ إِخْوَتِهِ يُمَارِسُ خَطِيئَةً لَا تَنْتَهِي بِهِ إِلَى الْمَوْتِ، فَمِنْ وَاجِبِهِ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ إِلَى اللهِ مِنْ أَجْلِهِ، فَيُبْقِيَهُ عَلَى قَيْدِ الْحَيَاةِ. هَذَا إِذَا كَانَتِ الْخَطِيئَةُ الَّتِي يُمَارِسُهَا لَا تَنْتَهِي بِهِ إِلَى الْمَوْتِ. فَهُنَالِكَ خَطِيئَةٌ لابُدَّ أَنْ تَنْتَهِيَ إِلَى الْمَوْتِ. وَطَبْعاً، أَنَا لَا أَقْصِدُ هذِهِ الْخَطِيئَةَ هُنَا.

If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he should ask, and he will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death. I do not say that he should make a request concerning this.

١٧ 17 كُلُّ إِثْمٍ هُوَ خَطِيئَةٌ، وَلا تَنْتَهِي كُلُّ خَطِيئَةٍ إِلَى الْمَوْتِ.

All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.

١٨ 18 نَحْنُ وَاثِقُونَ بِأَنَّ كُلَّ مَنْ وُلِدَ مِنَ اللهِ لَا يُمَارِسُ الْخَطِيئَةَ، لأَنَّ ابْنَ اللهِ يَحْمِيهِ فَلا يَمَسُّهُ إِبْلِيسُ الشِّرِّيرُ.

We know that whoever is born of God does not sin, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

١٩ 19 وَنَحْنُ وَاثِقُونَ أَيْضاً بِأَنَّنَا مِنَ اللهِ، وَأَنَّ الْعَالَمَ كُلَّهُ خَاضِعٌ لِسَيْطَرَةِ إِبْلِيسَ الشِّرِّيرِ.

We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

٢٠ 20 وَإِنَّنَا نَعْلَمُ أَنَّ ابْنَ اللهِ قَدْ جَاءَ إِلَى الأَرْضِ وَأَنَارَ أَذْهَانَنَا لِنَعْرِفَ الإِلهَ الْحَقَّ. وَنَحْنُ الآنَ نَحْيَا فِيهِ، لأَنَّنَا فِي ابْنِهِ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ. هَذَا هُوَ الإِلهُ الْحَقُّ، وَالْحَيَاةُ الأَبَدِيَّةُ. (aiōnios g166)

We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. (aiōnios g166)

٢١ 21 أَيُّهَا الأَوْلادُ الصِّغَارُ، احْفَظُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ الأَصْنَامِ!

Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
