1 كورنثوس 3

١ 1 عَلَى أَنِّي، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَةُ، لَمْ أَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ أُكَلِّمَكُمْ بِاعْتِبَارِكُمْ رُوحِيِّينَ، بَلْ بِاعْتِبَارِكُمْ جَسَدِيِّينَ وَأَطْفَالاً فِي الْمَسِيحِ.

As for me, brothers, I could not talk to you as spiritual men, but as to creatures of flesh, mere babes in Christ.

٢ 2 قَدْ أَطْعَمْتُكُمْ لَبَناً لَا الطَّعَامَ الْقَوِيَّ، لأَنَّكُمْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا قَادِرِينَ عَلَيْهِ، بَلْ إِنَّكُمْ حَتَّى الآنَ غَيْرُ قَادِرِينَ.

I fed you milk, not meat; for you were unable to bear it.

٣ 3 فَإِنَّكُمْ مَازِلْتُمْ جَسَدِيِّينَ. فَمَادَامَ بَيْنَكُمْ حَسَدٌ وَخِصَامٌ (وَانْقِسَامٌ)، أَفَلا تَكُونُونَ جَسَدِيِّينَ وَتَسْلُكُونَ وَفْقاً لِلْبَشَرِ؟

You are not able even now, for you are still unspiritual. While there is among you jealousy and strife, are you not still unspiritual, and behaving like worldlings?

٤ 4 وَمَادَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ يَقُولُ: «أَنَا مَعَ بُولُسَ»، وَآخَرُ: «أَنَا مَعَ أَبُلُّوسَ»، أَفَلا تَكُونُونَ جَسَدِيِّينَ؟

When one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not mere worldlings?

٥ 5 فَمَنْ هُوَ بُولُسُ؟ وَمَنْ هُوَ أَبُلُّوسُ؟ إِنَّهُمَا فَقَطْ خَادِمَانِ آمَنْتُمْ عَلَى أَيْدِيهِمَا، كَمَا أَنْعَمَ الرَّبُّ عَلَى كُلٍّ مِنْهُمَا.

What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Just ministers through whom you have believed, and each doing the work that the Lord gave him.

٦ 6 أَنَا غَرَسْتُ وَأَبُلُّوسُ سَقَى؛ وَلَكِنَّ اللهَ أَنْمَى.

I planted, Apollos watered, but God made the seed grow.

٧ 7 فَلَيْسَ الْغَارِسُ شَيْئاً وَلا السَّاقِي، بَلِ اللهُ الَّذِي يُعْطِي النُّمُوَّ.

So neither is he who planted anything, nor he who watered, but God alone, who is making the seed grow.

٨ 8 فَالْغَارِسُ وَالسَّاقِي سَوَاءٌ. إِلّا أَنَّ كُلًّا مِنْهُمَا سَيَنَالُ أُجْرَتَهُ بِالنِّسْبَةِ إِلَى تَعَبِهِ.

Now, though he who plants and he who waters are one, each will receive his own reward, according to his own service.

٩ 9 فَإِنَّنَا نَحْنُ جَمِيعاً عَامِلُونَ مَعاً عِنْدَ اللهِ، وَأَنْتُمْ حَقْلُ اللهِ وَبِنَاءُ اللهِ.

For we are God’s fellow workers; and you are God’s field, you are God’s building.

١٠ 10 وَبِحَسَبِ نِعْمَةِ اللهِ الْمَوْهُوبَةِ لِي، وَضَعْتُ الأَسَاسَ كَمَا يَفْعَلُ الْبَنَّاءُ الْمَاهِرُ، وَغَيْرِي يَبْنِي عَلَيْهِ. وَلَكِنْ، لِيَنْتَبِهْ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ كَيْفَ يَبْنِي عَلَيْهِ.

According to the grace of God vouchsafed me, like a skillful master- builder, I have laid a foundation; but another will be building upon it. Let each take heed how he builds on it.

١١ 11 فَلَيْسَ مُمْكِناً أَنْ يَضَعَ أَحَدٌ أَسَاساً آخَرَ بِالإِضَافَةِ إِلَى الأَسَاسِ الْمَوْضُوعِ، وَهُوَ يَسُوعُ الْمَسِيحُ.

The foundation is already laid - Jesus Christ - and no man can lay another.

١٢ 12 فَإِنْ بَنَى أَحَدٌ عَلَى هَذَا الأَسَاسِ ذَهَباً وَفِضَّةً وَحِجَارَةً كَرِيمَةً، أَوْ خَشَباً وَعُشْباً وَقَشّاً،

On that foundation, if a man proceeds to build gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble, each man’s work will be made manifest.

١٣ 13 فَعَمَلُ كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ سَيَنْكَشِفُ عَلَناً إِذْ يُظْهِرُهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي سَيُعْلَنُ فِي نَارٍ، وَسَوْفَ تَمْتَحِنُ النَّارُ قِيمَةَ عَمَلِ كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ.

The Day will disclose it, for it dawns in fire, and the fire will test each man’s work, of what quality it is.

١٤ 14 فَمَنْ بَقِيَ عَمَلُهُ الَّذِي بَنَاهُ عَلَى الأَسَاسِ، يَنَالُ أَجْراً.

If any man’s work - the building he has made - stands the test, he will be rewarded.

١٥ 15 وَمَنِ احْتَرَقَ عَمَلُهُ، يَخْسَرُ، إِلّا أَنَّهُ هُوَ سَيَخْلُصُ؛ وَلكِنْ كَمَنْ يَمُرُّ فِي النَّارِ.

If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, as it were through the flames.

١٦ 16 أَلا تَعْرِفُونَ أَنَّكُمْ هَيْكَلُ اللهِ وَأَنَّ رُوحَ اللهِ سَاكِنٌ فِيكُمْ؟

Do you not know what you are God’s sanctuary, and that the Spirit of God is dwelling within you?

١٧ 17 فَإِنْ دَمَّرَ أَحَدٌ هَيْكَلَ اللهِ، يُدَمِّرُهُ اللهُ، لأَنَّ هَيْكَلَ اللهِ مُقَدَّسٌ، وَهُوَ أَنْتُمْ.

If any one tear down God’s sanctuary, God will tear him down; for the sanctuary of God is holy, and that is what you are.

١٨ 18 حَذَارِ أَنْ يَخْدَعَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ نَفْسَهُ! إِنْ ظَنَّ أَحَدٌ بَيْنَكُمْ نَفْسَهُ حَكِيماً بِمَقَايِيسِ هَذَا الْعَالَمِ، فَلْيَصِرْ «جَاهِلاً» لِيَصِيرَ حَكِيماً حَقّاً. (aiōn g165)

Let no one deceive himself. If any one of you supposes that he is wise in the philosophy of the present age, let him become foolish, so that he may be wise. (aiōn g165)

١٩ 19 فَإِنَّ حِكْمَةَ هَذَا الْعَالَمِ هِيَ جَهَالَةٌ فِي نَظَرِ اللهِ. فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ كُتِبَ: «إِنَّهُ يُمْسِكُ الْحُكَمَاءَ بِمَكْرِهِمْ»

For the philosophy of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. It is written, He snares the wise in their own craftiness,

٢٠ 20 وَأَيْضاً: «الرَّبُّ يَعْلَمُ أَفْكَارَ الْحُكَمَاءِ وَيَعْرِفُ أَنَّهَا بَاطِلَةٌ!»

and again, The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise, how futile they are.

٢١ 21 إِذَنْ، لَا يَفْتَخِرْ أَحَدٌ بِالْبَشَرِ، لأَنَّ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ هُوَ لَكُمْ،

So let no one make boast in men. For all things are yours;

٢٢ 22 أَبُولُسُ أَمْ أَبُلُّوسُ أَمْ بُطْرُسُ أَمِ الْعَالَمُ أَمِ الْحَيَاةُ أَمِ الْمَوْتُ أَمِ الْحَاضِرُ أَمِ الْمُسْتَقْبَلُ: هَذِهِ الأُمُورُ كُلُّهَا لَكُمْ،

Paul, Apollos, Cephas, the world, life, death, things present or things to come; all things are yours;

٢٣ 23 وَأَنْتُمْ لِلْمَسِيحِ، وَالْمَسِيحُ لِلهِ.

and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.
