1 أخبار 24

١ 1 وَهَذِهِ هِيَ فِرَقُ الْكَهَنَةِ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ هرُونَ: أَوْلادُهُ نَادَابُ وَأَبِيهُو وَأَلِعَازَارُ وَإِيثَامَارُ.

These are also the diuisions of the sonnes of Aaron: The sonnes of Aaron were Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

٢ 2 وَمَاتَ نَادَابُ وَأَبِيهُو قَبْلَ وَفَاةِ أَبِيهِمَا مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يُعْقِبَا أَبْنَاءً، فَصَارَ أَلِعَازَارُ وَإِيثَامَارُ كَاهِنَيْنِ.

But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the Priestes office.

٣ 3 وَقَسَمَ دَاوُدُ وَصَادُوقُ مِنْ نَسْلِ أَلِعَازَارَ وَأَخِيمَالِكُ مِنْ نَسْلِ إِيثَامَارَ، ذُرِّيَّةَ هرُونَ بِمُوْجِبِ الْخَدَمَاتِ الَّتِي أُوْكِلَتْ إِلَيْهِمْ.

And Dauid distributed them, euen Zadok of the sonnes of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sonnes of Ithamar according to their offices in their ministration.

٤ 4 وَإِذْ كَانَ قَادَةُ ذُرِّيَّةِ أَلِعَازَارَ أَكْثَرَ عَدَداً مِنْ قَادَةِ ذُرِّيَّةِ إِيثَامَارَ، تَمَّ تَقْسِيمُهُمْ وَفْقاً لأَعْدَادِهِمْ، فَكَانَ هُنَاكَ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ رَئِيساً لِبُيُوتِ ذُرِّيَّةِ أَلِعَازَارَ، وَثَمَانِيَةُ رُؤَسَاءَ لِبُيُوتِ ذُرِّيَّةِ إِيثَامَارَ.

And there were found more of the sonnes of Eleazar by the number of men, then of the sonnes of Ithamar. and they deuided them, to wit, among the sonnes of Eleazar, sixteene heads, according to the houshould of their fathers, and among ye sonnes of Ithamar, according to the housholde of their fathers, eight.

٥ 5 وَقَسَمُوا الْفَرِيقَيْنِ بِالْقُرْعَةِ فَاخْتَلَطُوا مَعاً، وَأَصْبَحَ رُؤَسَاءُ الْقُدْسِ وَرُؤَسَاءُ بَيْتِ اللهِ يَتَشَكَّلُونَ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ أَلِعَازَارَ وِمِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ إِيثَامَارَ.

Thus they distributed them by lot the one from the other, and so the rulers of the Sanctuarie and the rulers of the house of God were of the sonnes of Eleazar and of the sonnes of Ithamar.

٦ 6 وَدَوَّنَ شَمَعْيَا بْنُ نَثَنْئِيلَ الكَاتِبُ مِنْ سِبْطِ لاوِي أَسْمَاءَهُمْ فِي حُضُورِ الْمَلِكِ وَالْقَادَةِ وَصَادُوقَ الكَاهِنِ وَأَخِيمَالِكَ بْنِ أَبِيَاثَارَ وَسِوَاهُمْ مِنْ رُؤَسَاءِ عَائِلاتِ الكَهَنَةِ وَاللّاوِيِّينَ، فَاخْتِيرَتْ عَائِلَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ مِنْ بَنِي أَلِعَازَارَ، وَعَائِلَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ، مِنْ بَنِي إِيِثَامَارَ.

And Shemaiah the sonne of Nethaneel the scribe of the Leuites, wrote them before ye King and the princes, and Zadok the Priest, and Ahimelech the sonne of Abiathar, and before ye chiefe fathers of the Priests and of the Leuites, one familie being reserued for Eleazar, and another reserued for Ithamar.

٧ 7 وَوَقَعَتِ القُرْعَةُ الأُولَى عِنْدَ إِلْقَائِهَا لِيَهُويَارِيبَ، وَالثَّانِيَةُ لِيَدْعِيَا.

And the first lot fell to Iehoiarib, and the second to Iedaiah,

٨ 8 وَالثَّالِثَةُ لِحَارِيمَ، وَالرَّابِعَةُ لِسَعُورِيمَ.

The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,

٩ 9 وَالخَامِسَةُ لِمَلْكِيَّا، وَالسَّادِسَةُ لِمَيَّامِينَ.

The fifth to Malchiiah, the sixt to Miiamin,

١٠ 10 وَالسَّابِعَةُ لِهُقُّوصَ، وَالثَّامِنَةُ لأَبِيَّا.

The seuenth to Hakkoz, the eight to Abiiah,

١١ 11 وَالتَّاسِعَةُ لِيَشُوعَ، وَالعَاشِرَةُ لِشَكُنْيَا.

The ninth to Ieshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,

١٢ 12 وَالحَادِيَةُ عَشْرَةَ لأَلِيَاشِيبَ، والثَّانِيَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِيَاقِيمَ.

The eleuenth to Eliashib, the twelft to Iakim,

١٣ 13 وَالثَّالِثَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِحُفَّةَ، وَالرَّابِعَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِيَشَبْآبَ.

The thirteenth to Huppa, the fouretenth to Ieshebeab,

١٤ 14 وَالْخَامِسَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِبَلْحَةَ، وَالسَّادِسَةُ عَشْرَةَ لإِيمِيرَ.

The fiftenth to Bilgah, the sixtenth to Immer,

١٥ 15 وَالسَّابِعَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِحِيزِيرَ، وَالثَّامِنَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِهَفْصِيصَ.

The seuententh to Hezir, the eightenth to Happizzer,

١٦ 16 وَالتَّاسِعَةُ عَشْرَةَ لِفَقَحْيَا، وَالْعِشْرُونَ لِيَحَزْقِيئِيلَ.

The ninetenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Iehezekel,

١٧ 17 وَالْحَادِيَةُ وَالْعِشْرُونَ لِيَاكِينَ، وَالثَّانِيَةُ وَالْعِشْرُونَ لِجَامُولَ.

The one and twentie to Iachin, the two and twentie to Gamul,

١٨ 18 وَالثَّالِثَةُ وَالْعِشْرُونَ لِدَلايَا، وَالرَّابِعَةُ وَالْعِشْرُونَ لِمَعَزْيَا.

The three and twentie to Deliah, the foure and twentie to Maaziah.

١٩ 19 هَذَا كَانَ تَرْتِيبَ خَدَمَاتِهِمِ الَّتِي كُلِّفُوا بِها عِنْدَ دُخُولِهِمْ إِلَى بَيْتِ الرَّبِّ بِمُقْتَضَى الْمَرَاسِيمِ الَّتِي حَدَّدَهَا لَهُمْ جَدُّهُمُ الأَكْبَرُ هرُونُ، تَمَاماً كَمَا أَمَرَهُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ.

These were their orders according to their offices, when they entred into the house of the Lord according to their custome vnder the hande of Aaron their father, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded him.

٢٠ 20 أَمَّا بَقِيَّةُ أَبْنَاءِ لاوِي فَهُمْ: مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ عَمْرَامَ: شُوبَائِيلُ، وَمِنْ أَبْنَاءِ شُوبَائِيلَ يَحَدْيَا.

And of the sonnes of Leui that remained of the sonnes of Amram, was Shubael, of the sonnes of Shubael, Iedeiah,

٢١ 21 وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ رَحَبْيَا: الْبِكْرُ يَشِّيَّا.

Of Rehabiah. euen of the sonnes of Rehabiah, the first Isshiiah,

٢٢ 22 وَمِنَ الْيِصْهَارِيِّينَ: شَلُومُوثُ، وَمِنْ أَبْنَاءِ شَلُومُوثَ يَحَثُ.

Of Izhari, Shelomoth, of the sonnes of Shelomoth, Iahath,

٢٣ 23 وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ حَبْرُونَ: يَرِيَّا الْبِكْرُ وَأَمَرْيَا الثَّانِي وَيَحْزِيئِيلُ الثَّالِثُ وَيَقْمَعَامُ الرَّابِعُ.

And his sonnes Ieriah the first, Amariah the second, Iahaziel the thirde, and Iekameam the fourth,

٢٤ 24 وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ عُزِّيئِيلَ: مِيخَا، وَمِنْ أَبْنَاءِ مِيخَا: شَامُورُ.

The sonne of Vzziel was Michah, ye sonne of Michah was Shamir,

٢٥ 25 وَمِنْ أَبْنَاءِ يَشِّيَّا أَخِي مِيخَا: زَكَرِيَّا.

The brother of Michah was Isshiiah, the sonne of Isshiiah, Zechariah,

٢٦ 26 أَمَّا أَبْناءُ مَرَارِي فَهُمْ: مَحْلِي وَمُوشِي، وَيَعَزْيَا.

The sonnes of Merari, were Mahli and Mushi, the sonne of Iaaziiah was Beno,

٢٧ 27 وَكَانَ لِيَعَزْيَا بْنِ مَرَارِي أَبْنَاءٌ هُمْ: بَنُو وَشُوهَمُ وَزَكُّورُ وَعِبْرِي.

The sonnes of Merari of Iahaziah were Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur and Ibri.

٢٨ 28 وَلَمْ يُعْقِبْ أَلِعَازَارُ بْنُ مَحْلِي أَبْنَاءً.

Of Mahli came Eleazar, which had no sonnes.

٢٩ 29 أَمَّا قَيْسُ فَأَنْجَبَ يَرْحَمْئِيلَ.

Of Kish. the sonne of Kish was Ierahmeel,

٣٠ 30 وَأَبْنَاءُ مُوشِي: مَحْلِي وَعَادِرُ وَيَرِيمُوثُ. هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أَبْنَاءُ اللّاوِيِّينَ بِحَسَبِ تَرْتِيبِ بُيُوتَاتِ آبَائِهِمْ.

And the sonnes of Mushi were Mahli, and Eder, and Ierimoth: these were sonnes of the Leuites after the houshold of their fathers.

٣١ 31 وَأَلْقَوْا هُمْ أَيْضاً الْقُرْعَةَ عَلَى غِرَارِ أَقْرِبَائِهِمِ الْكَهَنَةِ ذُرِّيَّةِ هرُونَ فِي حُضُورِ دَاوُدَ الْمَلِكِ وَصَادُوقَ وَأَخِيمَالِكَ وَرُؤَسَاءِ عَائِلاتِ الْكَهَنَةِ وَاللّاوِيِّينَ، لَا فَرْقَ فِي ذَلِكَ بَيْنَ رُؤَسَاءِ الْعَائِلاتِ وَبَقِيَّةِ أَقْرِبَائِهِمِ الأَصَاغِرِ.

And these also cast lots with their brethren the sonnes of Aaron before King Dauid, and Zadok and Ahimelech and the chiefe fathers of the Priests, and of the Leuites, euen the chiefe of the families against their yonger brethren.
