اَلْمَزَامِيرُ 88

١ 1 تَسْبِيحَةٌ. مَزْمُورٌ لِبَنِي قُورَحَ. لِإِمَامِ ٱلْمُغَنِّينَ عَلَى «ٱلْعُودِ» لِلْغِنَاءِ. قَصِيدَةٌ لِهَيْمَانَ ٱلْأَزْرَاحِيِّ يَارَبُّ إِلَهَ خَلَاصِي، بِٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱللَّيْلِ صَرَخْتُ أَمَامَكَ،

A song of a Psalm for the sons of Core for the end, upon Maeleth for responsive [strains], of instruction for Aeman the Israelite. O Lord God of my salvation, I have cried by day and in the night before you.

٢ 2 فَلْتَأْتِ قُدَّامَكَ صَلَاتِي. أَمِلْ أُذُنَكَ إِلَى صُرَاخِي،

Let my prayer come in before you; incline your ear to my supplication, O Lord.

٣ 3 لِأَنَّهُ قَدْ شَبِعَتْ مِنَ ٱلْمَصَائِبِ نَفْسِي، وَحَيَاتِي إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ دَنَتْ. (Sheol h7585)

For my soul is filled with troubles, and my life has drawn near to Hades. (Sheol h7585)

٤ 4 حُسِبْتُ مِثْلَ ٱلْمُنْحَدِرِينَ إِلَى ٱلْجُبِّ. صِرْتُ كَرَجُلٍ لَا قُوَّةَ لَهُ.

I have been reckoned with them that go down to the pit; I became as a man without help;

٥ 5 بَيْنَ ٱلْأَمْوَاتِ فِرَاشِي مِثْلُ ٱلْقَتْلَى ٱلْمُضْطَجِعِينَ فِي ٱلْقَبْرِ، ٱلَّذِينَ لَا تَذْكُرُهُمْ بَعْدُ، وَهُمْ مِنْ يَدِكَ ٱنْقَطَعُوا.

free among the dead, as the slain ones cast out, who sleep in the tomb; whom you remember no more; and they are rejected from your hand.

٦ 6 وَضَعْتَنِي فِي ٱلْجُبِّ ٱلْأَسْفَلِ، فِي ظُلُمَاتٍ، فِي أَعْمَاقٍ.

They laid me in the lowest pit, in dark [places], and in the shadow of death.

٧ 7 عَلَيَّ ٱسْتَقَرَّ غَضَبُكَ، وَبِكُلِّ تَيَّارَاتِكَ ذَلَّلْتَنِي. سِلَاهْ.

Your wrath has pressed heavily upon me, and you have brought upon me all your billows. (Pause)

٨ 8 أَبْعَدْتَ عَنِّي مَعَارِفِي. جَعَلْتَنِي رِجْسًا لَهُمْ. أُغْلِقَ عَلَيَّ فَمَا أَخْرُجُ.

You have removed my acquaintance far from me; they have made me an abomination to themselves; I have been delivered up, and have not gone forth.

٩ 9 عَيْنِي ذَابَتْ مِنَ ٱلذُّلِّ. دَعَوْتُكَ يَارَبُّ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ. بَسَطْتُ إِلَيْكَ يَدَيَّ.

Mine eyes are dimmed from poverty; but I cried to you, O Lord, all the day; I spread forth my hands to you.

١٠ 10 أَفَلَعَلَّكَ لِلْأَمْوَاتِ تَصْنَعُ عَجَائِبَ؟ أَمِ ٱلْأَخِيلَةُ تَقُومُ تُمَجِّدُكَ؟ سِلَاهْ.

Will you work wonders for the dead? or shall physicians raise [them] up, that they shall praise you?

١١ 11 هَلْ يُحَدَّثُ فِي ٱلْقَبْرِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ، أَوْ بِحَقِّكَ فِي ٱلْهَلَاكِ؟

Shall any one declare your mercy in the tomb? and your truth in destruction?

١٢ 12 هَلْ تُعْرَفُ فِي ٱلظُّلْمَةِ عَجَائِبُكَ، وَبِرُّكَ فِي أَرْضِ ٱلنِّسْيَانِ؟

Shall your wonders be known in darkness? and your righteousness in a forgotten land?

١٣ 13 أَمَّا أَنَا فَإِلَيْكَ يَارَبُّ صَرَخْتُ، وَفِي ٱلْغَدَاةِ صَلَاتِي تَتَقَدَّمُكَ.

But I cried to you, O Lord; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent you.

١٤ 14 لِمَاذَا يَارَبُّ تَرْفُضُ نَفْسِي؟ لِمَاذَا تَحْجُبُ وَجْهَكَ عَنِّي؟

Therefore, O Lord, do you reject my prayer, [and] turn your face away from me?

١٥ 15 أَنَا مِسْكِينٌ وَمُسَلِّمُ ٱلرُّوحِ مُنْذُ صِبَايَ. ٱحْتَمَلْتُ أَهْوَالَكَ. تَحَيَّرْتُ.

I am poor and in troubles from my youth; and having been exalted, I was brought low and into despair.

١٦ 16 عَلَيَّ عَبَرَ سَخَطُكَ. أَهْوَالُكَ أَهْلَكَتْنِي.

Your wrath has passed over me; and your terrors have greatly disquieted me.

١٧ 17 أَحَاطَتْ بِي كَٱلْمِيَاهِ ٱلْيَوْمَ كُلَّهُ. ٱكْتَنَفَتْنِي مَعًا.

They compassed me like water; all the day they beset me together.

١٨ 18 أَبْعَدْتَ عَنِّي مُحِبًّا وَصَاحِبًا. مَعَارِفِي فِي ٱلظُّلْمَةِ.

You have put far from me [every] friend, and mine acquaintances because of [my] wretchedness.
