اَلْمَزَامِيرُ 8

١ 1 لِإِمَامِ ٱلْمُغَنِّينَ عَلَى «ٱلْجَتِّيَّةِ». مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ أَيُّهَا ٱلرَّبُّ سَيِّدُنَا، مَا أَمْجَدَ ٱسْمَكَ فِي كُلِّ ٱلْأَرْضِ! حَيْثُ جَعَلْتَ جَلَالَكَ فَوْقَ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ.

To the ouercomere, for pressours, the salm of Dauid. Lord, thou art oure Lord; thi name is ful wonderful in al erthe. For thi greet doyng is reisid, aboue heuenes.

٢ 2 مِنْ أَفْوَاهِ ٱلْأَطْفَالِ وَٱلرُّضَّعِ أَسَّسْتَ حَمْدًا بِسَبَبِ أَضْدَادِكَ، لِتَسْكِيتِ عَدُوٍّ وَمُنْتَقِمٍ.

Of the mouth of yonge children, not spekynge and soukynge mylk, thou madist perfitli heriyng, for thin enemyes; that thou destrie the enemy and avengere.

٣ 3 إِذَا أَرَى سَمَاوَاتِكَ عَمَلَ أَصَابِعِكَ، ٱلْقَمَرَ وَٱلنُّجُومَ ٱلَّتِي كَوَّنْتَهَا،

For Y schal se thin heuenes, the werkis of thi fyngris; the moone and sterris, whiche thou hast foundid.

٤ 4 فَمَنْ هُوَ ٱلْإِنْسَانُ حَتَّى تَذْكُرَهُ؟ وَٱبْنُ آدَمَ حَتَّى تَفْتَقِدَهُ؟

What is a man, that thou art myndeful of hym; ethir the sone of a virgyn, for thou visitist hym?

٥ 5 وَتَنْقُصَهُ قَلِيلًا عَنِ ٱلْمَلَائِكَةِ، وَبِمَجْدٍ وَبَهَاءٍ تُكَلِّلُهُ.

Thou hast maad hym a litil lesse than aungels; thou hast corouned hym with glorie and onour,

٦ 6 تُسَلِّطُهُ عَلَى أَعْمَالِ يَدَيْكَ. جَعَلْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيْهِ:

and hast ordeyned hym aboue the werkis of thin hondis.

٧ 7 ٱلْغَنَمَ وَٱلْبَقَرَ جَمِيعًا، وَبَهَائِمَ ٱلْبَرِّ أَيْضًا،

Thou hast maad suget alle thingis vndur hise feet; alle scheep and oxis, ferthermore and the beestis of the feeld;

٨ 8 وَطُيُورَ ٱلسَّمَاءِ، وَسَمَكَ ٱلْبَحْرِ ٱلسَّالِكَ فِي سُبُلِ ٱلْمِيَاهِ.

the briddis of the eir, and the fischis of the see; that passen bi the pathis of the see.

٩ 9 أَيُّهَا ٱلرَّبُّ سَيِّدُنَا، مَا أَمْجَدَ ٱسْمَكَ فِي كُلِّ ٱلْأَرْضِ!

Lord, `thou art oure Lord; thi name `is wondurful in al erthe.
