اَلْمَزَامِيرُ 34

١ 1 لِدَاوُدَ عِنْدَمَا غَيَّرَ عَقْلَهُ قُدَّامَ أَبِيمَالِكَ فَطَرَدَهُ فَٱنْطَلَقَ أُبَارِكُ ٱلرَّبَّ فِي كُلِّ حِينٍ. دَائِمًا تَسْبِيحُهُ فِي فَمِي.

[A Psalm] of David; when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless Jehovah at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

٢ 2 بِٱلرَّبِّ تَفْتَخِرُ نَفْسِي. يَسْمَعُ ٱلْوُدَعَاءُ فَيَفْرَحُونَ.

My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah: the meek shall hear, and rejoice.

٣ 3 عَظِّمُوا ٱلرَّبَّ مَعِي، وَلْنُعَلِّ ٱسْمَهُ مَعًا.

Magnify Jehovah with me, and let us exalt his name together.

٤ 4 طَلَبْتُ إِلَى ٱلرَّبِّ فَٱسْتَجَابَ لِي، وَمِنْ كُلِّ مَخَاوِفِي أَنْقَذَنِي.

I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

٥ 5 نَظَرُوا إِلَيْهِ وَٱسْتَنَارُوا، وَوُجُوهُهُمْ لَمْ تَخْجَلْ.

They looked unto him, and were enlightened, and their faces were not confounded.

٦ 6 هَذَا ٱلْمِسْكِينُ صَرَخَ، وَٱلرَّبُّ ٱسْتَمَعَهُ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ ضِيقَاتِهِ خَلَّصَهُ.

This afflicted one called, and Jehovah heard [him], and saved him out of all his troubles.

٧ 7 مَلَاكُ ٱلرَّبِّ حَالٌّ حَوْلَ خَائِفِيهِ، وَيُنَجِّيهِمْ.

The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

٨ 8 ذُوقُوا وَٱنْظُرُوا مَا أَطْيَبَ ٱلرَّبَّ! طُوبَى لِلرَّجُلِ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلِ عَلَيْهِ.

Taste and see that Jehovah is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him!

٩ 9 ٱتَّقُوا ٱلرَّبَّ يَا قِدِّيسِيهِ، لِأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَوَزٌ لِمُتَّقِيهِ.

Fear Jehovah, ye his saints; for there is no want to them that fear him.

١٠ 10 ٱلْأَشْبَالُ ٱحْتَاجَتْ وَجَاعَتْ، وَأَمَّا طَالِبُو ٱلرَّبِّ فَلَا يُعْوِزُهُمْ شَيْءٌ مِنَ ٱلْخَيْرِ.

The young lions are in need and suffer hunger; but they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good.

١١ 11 هَلُمَّ أَيُّهَا ٱلْبَنُونَ ٱسْتَمِعُوا إِلَيَّ فَأُعَلِّمَكُمْ مَخَافَةَ ٱلرَّبِّ.

Come, ye sons, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.

١٢ 12 مَنْ هُوَ ٱلْإِنْسَانُ ٱلَّذِي يَهْوَى ٱلْحَيَاةَ، وَيُحِبُّ كَثْرَةَ ٱلْأَيَّامِ لِيَرَى خَيْرًا؟

What man is he that desireth life, [and] loveth days, that he may see good?

١٣ 13 صُنْ لِسَانَكَ عَنِ ٱلشَّرِّ، وَشَفَتَيْكَ عَنِ ٱلتَّكَلُّمِ بِٱلْغِشِّ.

Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile;

١٤ 14 حِدْ عَنِ ٱلشَّرِّ، وَٱصْنَعِ ٱلْخَيْرَ. ٱطْلُبِ ٱلسَّلَامَةَ، وَٱسْعَ وَرَاءَهَا.

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

١٥ 15 عَيْنَا ٱلرَّبِّ نَحْوَ ٱلصِّدِّيقِينَ، وَأُذُنَاهُ إِلَى صُرَاخِهِمْ.

The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous, and his ears are toward their cry;

١٦ 16 وَجْهُ ٱلرَّبِّ ضِدُّ عَامِلِي ٱلشَّرِّ لِيَقْطَعَ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ ذِكْرَهُمْ.

The face of Jehovah is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth:

١٧ 17 أُولَئِكَ صَرَخُوا، وَٱلرَّبُّ سَمِعَ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَدَائِدِهِمْ أَنْقَذَهُمْ.

[The righteous] cry, and Jehovah heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

١٨ 18 قَرِيبٌ هُوَ ٱلرَّبُّ مِنَ ٱلْمُنْكَسِرِي ٱلْقُلُوبِ، وَيُخَلِّصُ ٱلْمُنْسَحِقِي ٱلرُّوحِ.

Jehovah is nigh to those that are of a broken heart, and saveth them that are of a contrite spirit.

١٩ 19 كَثِيرَةٌ هِيَ بَلَايَا ٱلصِّدِّيقِ، وَمِنْ جَمِيعِهَا يُنَجِّيهِ ٱلرَّبُّ.

Many are the adversities of the righteous, but Jehovah delivereth him out of them all:

٢٠ 20 يَحْفَظُ جَمِيعَ عِظَامِهِ. وَاحِدٌ مِنْهَا لَا يَنْكَسِرُ.

He keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken.

٢١ 21 ٱلشَّرُّ يُمِيتُ ٱلشِّرِّيرَ، وَمُبْغِضُو ٱلصِّدِّيقِ يُعَاقَبُونَ.

Evil shall destroy the wicked; and they that hate the righteous shall bear their guilt.

٢٢ 22 ٱلرَّبُّ فَادِي نُفُوسِ عَبِيدِهِ، وَكُلُّ مَنِ ٱتَّكَلَ عَلَيْهِ لَا يُعَاقَبُ.

Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants; and none of them that trust in him shall bear guilt.
