اَلْمَزَامِيرُ 140

١ 1 لِإِمَامِ ٱلْمُغَنِّينَ. مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ أَنْقِذْنِي يَارَبُّ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلشَّرِّ. مِنْ رَجُلِ ٱلظُّلْمِ ٱحْفَظْنِي.

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Deliver me, O Jehovah, from the evil man; Preserve me from the violent man:

٢ 2 ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ بِشُرُورٍ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ. ٱلْيَوْمَ كُلَّهُ يَجْتَمِعُونَ لِلْقِتَالِ.

Who devise mischiefs in their heart; Continually do they gather themselves together for war.

٣ 3 سَنُّوا أَلْسِنَتَهُمْ كَحَيَّةٍ. حُمَةُ ٱلْأُفْعُوَانِ تَحْتَ شِفَاهِهِمْ. سِلَاهْ.

They have sharpened their tongue like a serpent; Adders’ poison is under their lips. (Selah)

٤ 4 ٱحْفَظْنِي يَارَبُّ مِنْ يَدَيِ ٱلشِّرِّيرِ. مِنْ رَجُلِ ٱلظُّلْمِ أَنْقِذْنِي. ٱلَّذِينَ تَفَكَّرُوا فِي تَعْثِيرِ خُطُوَاتِي.

Keep me, O Jehovah, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from the violent man: Who have purposed to thrust aside my steps.

٥ 5 أَخْفَى لِي ٱلْمُسْتَكْبِرُونَ فَخًّا وَحِبَالًا. مَدُّوا شَبَكَةً بِجَانِبِ ٱلطَّرِيقِ. وَضَعُوا لِي أَشْرَاكًا. سِلَاهْ.

The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set gins for me. (Selah)

٦ 6 قُلْتُ لِلرَّبِّ: «أَنْتَ إِلَهِي». أَصْغِ يَارَبُّ إِلَى صَوْتِ تَضَرُّعَاتِي.

I said unto Jehovah, Thou art my God: Give ear unto the voice of my supplications, O Jehovah.

٧ 7 يَارَبُّ ٱلسَّيِّدُ، قُوَّةَ خَلَاصِي، ظَلَّلْتَ رَأْسِي فِي يَوْمِ ٱلْقِتَالِ.

O Jehovah the Lord, the strength of my salvation, Thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

٨ 8 لَا تُعْطِ يَارَبُّ شَهَوَاتِ ٱلشِّرِّيرِ. لَا تُنَجِّحْ مَقَاصِدَهُ. يَتَرَفَّعُونَ. سِلَاهْ.

Grant not, O Jehovah, the desires of the wicked; Further not his evil device, [lest] they exalt themselves. (Selah)

٩ 9 أَمَّا رُؤُوسُ ٱلْمُحِيطِينَ بِي فَشَقَاءُ شِفَاهِهِمْ يُغَطِّيهِمْ.

As for the head of those that compass me about, Let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

١٠ 10 لِيَسْقُطْ عَلَيْهِمْ جَمْرٌ. لِيُسْقَطُوا فِي ٱلنَّارِ، وَفِي غَمَرَاتٍ فَلَا يَقُومُوا.

Let burning coals fall upon them: Let them be cast into the fire, Into deep pits, whence they shall not rise.

١١ 11 رَجُلُ لِسَانٍ لَا يَثْبُتُ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ. رَجُلُ ٱلظُّلْمِ يَصِيدُهُ ٱلشَّرُّ إِلَى هَلَاكِهِ.

An evil speaker shall not be established in the earth: Evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

١٢ 12 قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ يُجْرِي حُكْمًا لِلْمَسَاكِينِ وَحَقًّا لِلْبَائِسِينَ.

I know that Jehovah will maintain the cause of the afflicted, And justice for the needy.

١٣ 13 إِنَّمَا ٱلصِّدِّيقُونَ يَحْمَدُونَ ٱسْمَكَ. ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمُونَ يَجْلِسُونَ فِي حَضْرَتِكَ.

Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: The upright shall dwell in thy presence.
