اَلْمَزَامِيرُ 124

١ 1 تَرْنِيمَةُ ٱلْمَصَاعِدِ. لِدَاوُدَ «لَوْلَا ٱلرَّبُّ ٱلَّذِي كَانَ لَنَا». لِيَقُلْ إِسْرَائِيلُ:

A song of ascents; of David. “If Yahweh had not been on our side,” let Israel say now,

٢ 2 «لَوْلَا ٱلرَّبُّ ٱلَّذِي كَانَ لَنَا عِنْدَ مَا قَامَ ٱلنَّاسُ عَلَيْنَا،

“if it had not been Yahweh who was on our side when men rose up against us,

٣ 3 إِذًا لَٱبْتَلَعُونَا أَحْيَاءً عِنْدَ ٱحْتِمَاءِ غَضَبِهِمْ عَلَيْنَا،

then they would have swallowed us up alive when their anger raged against us.

٤ 4 إِذًا لَجَرَفَتْنَا ٱلْمِيَاهُ، لَعَبَرَ ٱلسَّيْلُ عَلَى أَنْفُسِنَا.

The water would have swept us away; the torrent would have overwhelmed us.

٥ 5 إِذًا لَعَبَرَتْ عَلَى أَنْفُسِنَا ٱلْمِيَاهُ ٱلطَّامِيَةُ».

Then the raging waters would have drowned us.”

٦ 6 مُبَارَكٌ ٱلرَّبُّ ٱلَّذِي لَمْ يُسْلِمْنَا فَرِيسَةً لِأَسْنَانِهِمْ.

Blessed be Yahweh, who has not allowed us to be torn by their teeth.

٧ 7 ٱنْفَلَتَتْ أَنْفُسُنَا مِثْلَ ٱلْعُصْفُورِ مِنْ فَخِّ ٱلصَّيَّادِينَ. ٱلْفَخُّ ٱنْكَسَرَ، وَنَحْنُ ٱنْفَلَتْنَا.

We have escaped like a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped.

٨ 8 عَوْنُنَا بِٱسْمِ ٱلرَّبِّ، ٱلصَّانِعِ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ.

Our help is in Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
