اَلْمَزَامِيرُ 123

١ 1 تَرْنِيمَةُ ٱلْمَصَاعِدِ إِلَيْكَ رَفَعْتُ عَيْنَيَّ يَا سَاكِنًا فِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ.

`The song of grecis. To thee Y haue reisid myn iyen; that dwellist in heuenes.

٢ 2 هُوَذَا كَمَا أَنَّ عُيُونَ ٱلْعَبِيدِ نَحْوَ أَيْدِي سَادَتِهِمْ، كَمَا أَنَّ عَيْنَيِ ٱلْجَارِيَةِ نَحْوَ يَدِ سَيِّدَتِهَا، هَكَذَا عُيُونُنَا نَحْوَ ٱلرَّبِّ إِلَهِنَا حَتَّى يَتَرَأَّفَ عَلَيْنَا.

Lo! as the iyen of seruauntis; ben in the hondis of her lordis. As the iyen of the handmaide ben in the hondis of her ladi; so oure iyen ben to oure Lord God, til he haue mercy on vs.

٣ 3 ٱرْحَمْنَا يَارَبُّ ٱرْحَمْنَا، لِأَنَّنَا كَثِيرًا مَا ٱمْتَلَأْنَا هَوَانًا.

Lord, haue thou merci on vs, haue thou merci on vs; for we ben myche fillid with dispisyng.

٤ 4 كَثِيرًا مَا شَبِعَتْ أَنْفُسُنَا مِنْ هُزْءِ ٱلْمُسْتَرِيحِينَ وَإِهَانَةِ ٱلْمُسْتَكْبِرِينَ.

For oure soule is myche fillid; we ben schenschipe to hem that ben abundaunte with richessis, and dispising to proude men.
