اَلْمَزَامِيرُ 120

١ 1 تَرْنِيمَةُ ٱلْمَصَاعِدِ إِلَى ٱلرَّبِّ فِي ضِيْقِي صَرَخْتُ فَٱسْتَجَابَ لِي.

“A psalm of steps.” In my distress I called upon the LORD, And he answered me.

٢ 2 يَارَبُّ، نَجِّ نَفْسِي مِنْ شِفَاهِ ٱلْكَذِبِ، مِنْ لِسَانِ غِشٍّ.

O LORD! deliver me from lying lips, From the deceitful tongue!

٣ 3 مَاذَا يُعْطِيكَ وَمَاذَا يَزِيدُ لَكَ لِسَانُ ٱلْغِشِّ؟

What profit to thee, Or what advantage to thee, is the false tongue?

٤ 4 سِهَامَ جَبَّارٍ مَسْنُونَةً مَعَ جَمْرِ ٱلرَّتَمِ.

It is like the sharp arrows of the mighty man; Like coals of the juniper.

٥ 5 وَيْلِي لِغُرْبَتِي فِي مَاشِكَ، لِسَكَنِي فِي خِيَامِ قِيدَارَ!

Alas for me, that I sojourn in Mesech, That I dwell in the tents of Kedar!

٦ 6 طَالَ عَلَى نَفْسِي سَكَنُهَا مَعَ مُبْغِضِ ٱلسَّلَامِ.

Too long have I dwelt With them that hate peace!

٧ 7 أَنَا سَلَامٌ، وَحِينَمَا أَتَكَلَّمُ فَهُمْ لِلْحَرْبِ.

I am for peace; yet, when I speak for it, They are for war.
