اَلْمَزَامِيرُ 105

١ 1 اِحْمَدُوا ٱلرَّبَّ. ٱدْعُوا بِٱسْمِهِ. عَرِّفُوا بَيْنَ ٱلْأُمَمِ بِأَعْمَالِهِ.

O give thanks unto the Lord; call on his name: make known among the people his deeds.

٢ 2 غَنُّوا لَهُ. رَنِّمُوا لَهُ. أَنْشِدُوا بِكُلِّ عَجَائِبِهِ.

Sing unto, him, sing praises unto him: speak of all his wonderful works.

٣ 3 ٱفْتَخِرُوا بِٱسْمِهِ ٱلْقُدُّوسِ. لِتَفْرَحْ قُلُوبُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَلْتَمِسُونَ ٱلرَّبَّ.

Glorify yourselves in his holy name: let the heart of those rejoice that seek the Lord.

٤ 4 اُطْلُبُوا ٱلرَّبَّ وَقُدْرَتَهُ. ٱلْتَمِسُوا وَجْهَهُ دَائِمًا.

Inquire after the Lord and his strength: seek his presence evermore.

٥ 5 ٱذْكُرُوا عَجَائِبَهُ ٱلَّتِي صَنَعَ، آيَاتِهِ وَأَحْكَامَ فِيهِ،

Remember his wonderful works which he hath done; his tokens, and the decrees of his mouth;

٦ 6 يَا ذُرِّيَّةَ إِبْراهِيمَ عَبْدِهِ، يَا بَنِي يَعْقُوبَ مُخْتَارِيهِ.

O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob, his elect.

٧ 7 هُوَ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُنَا فِي كُلِّ ٱلْأَرْضِ أَحْكَامُهُ.

He is the Lord our God: over all the earth are his decrees.

٨ 8 ذَكَرَ إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ عَهْدَهُ، كَلَامًا أَوْصَى بِهِ إِلَى أَلْفِ دَوْرٍ،

He remembereth his covenant for ever, the word which he hath commanded, to the thousandth generation.

٩ 9 ٱلَّذِي عَاهَدَ بِهِ إِبْراهِيمَ، وَقَسَمَهُ لِإِسْحاقَ،

Which he covenanted with Abraham; and his oath unto Isaac;

١٠ 10 فَثَبَّتَهُ لِيَعْقُوبَ فَرِيضَةً، وَلِإِسْرَائِيلَ عَهْدًا أَبَدِيًّا،

And which he established unto Jacob as a statute, unto Israel as an everlasting covenant:

١١ 11 قَائِلًا: «لَكَ أُعْطِي أَرْضَ كَنْعَانَ حَبْلَ مِيرَاثِكُمْ».

Saying, “Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, as the portion of your inheritance.”

١٢ 12 إِذْ كَانُوا عَدَدًا يُحْصَى، قَلِيلِينَ وَغُرَبَاءَ فِيهَا.

When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it;

١٣ 13 ذَهَبُوا مِنْ أُمَّةٍ إِلَى أُمَّةٍ، مِنْ مَمْلَكَةٍ إِلَى شَعْبٍ آخَرَ.

And when they wandered from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people:

١٤ 14 فَلَمْ يَدَعْ إِنْسَانًا يَظْلِمُهُمْ، بَلْ وَبَّخَ مُلُوكًا مِنْ أَجْلِهِمْ،

He suffered no man to oppress them; yea, he reproved kings for their sake;

١٥ 15 قَائِلًا: «لَا تَمَسُّوا مُسَحَائِي، وَلَا تُسِيئُوا إِلَى أَنْبِيَائِي».

[Saying, ] “Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm,”—

١٦ 16 دَعَا بِٱلْجُوعِ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ. كَسَرَ قِوَامَ ٱلْخُبْزِ كُلَّهُ.

And he called for a famine over the land; every staff of bread he broke.

١٧ 17 أَرْسَلَ أَمَامَهُمْ رَجُلًا. بِيعَ يُوسُفُ عَبْدًا.

He sent a man before them; for a servant was Joseph sold;

١٨ 18 آذَوْا بِٱلْقَيْدِ رِجْلَيْهِ. فِي ٱلْحَدِيدِ دَخَلَتْ نَفْسُهُ،

They forced into fetters his feet; in iron was his body put:

١٩ 19 إِلَى وَقْتِ مَجِيءِ كَلِمَتِهِ. قَوْلُ ٱلرَّبِّ ٱمْتَحَنَهُ.

Until the time that his word came to pass, [when] the saying of the Lord had purified him.

٢٠ 20 أَرْسَلَ ٱلْمَلِكُ فَحَلَّهُ. أَرْسَلَ سُلْطَانُ ٱلشَّعْبِ فَأَطْلَقَهُ.

The king sent and unfettered him; the ruler of people, and let him go free.

٢١ 21 أَقَامَهُ سَيِّدًا عَلَى بَيْتِهِ، وَمُسَلَّطًا عَلَى كُلِّ مُلْكِهِ،

He appointed him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possession:

٢٢ 22 لِيَأْسُرَ رُؤَسَاءَهُ حَسَبَ إِرَادَتِهِ وَيُعَلِّمَ مَشَايِخَهُ حِكْمَةً.

That he might bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his ancients wisdom.

٢٣ 23 فَجَاءَ إِسْرَائِيلُ إِلَى مِصْرَ، وَيَعْقُوبُ تَغَرَّبَ فِي أَرْضِ حَامٍ.

Then came Israel into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

٢٤ 24 جَعَلَ شَعْبَهُ مُثْمِرًا جِدًّا، وَأَعَزَّهُ عَلَى أَعْدَائِهِ.

And he increased his people greatly, and made them stronger than their adversaries.

٢٥ 25 حَوَّلَ قُلُوبَهُمْ لِيُبْغِضُوا شَعْبَهُ، لِيَحْتَالُوا عَلَى عَبِيدِهِ.

He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilely with his servants.

٢٦ 26 أَرْسَلَ مُوسَى عَبْدَهُ وَهارُونَ ٱلَّذِي ٱخْتَارَهُ.

He sent Moses his servant, Aaron also whom he had made choice of.

٢٧ 27 أَقَامَا بَيْنَهُمْ كَلَامَ آيَاتِهِ، وَعَجَائِبَ فِي أَرْضِ حَامٍ.

They displayed among them his effective signs, and wonders in the land of Ham.

٢٨ 28 أَرْسَلَ ظُلْمَةً فَأَظْلَمَتْ، وَلَمْ يَعْصَوْا كَلَامَهُ.

He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

٢٩ 29 حَوَّلَ مِيَاهَهُمْ إِلَى دَمٍ وَقَتَلَ أَسْمَاكَهُمْ.

He changed their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

٣٠ 30 أَفَاضَتْ أَرْضُهُمْ ضَفَادِعَ حَتَّى فِي مَخَادِعِ مُلُوكِهِمْ.

Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the very chambers of their kings.

٣١ 31 أَمَرَ فَجَاءَ ٱلذُّبَّانُ وَٱلْبَعُوضُ فِي كُلِّ تُخُومِهِمْ.

He spoke, and there came various wild beasts, lice also within all their boundary.

٣٢ 32 جَعَلَ أَمْطَارَهُمْ بَرَدًا وَنَارًا مُلْتَهِبَةً فِي أَرْضِهِمْ.

He gave them as their rain hail, and flames of fire in their land.

٣٣ 33 ضَرَبَ كُرُومَهُمْ وَتِينَهُمْ، وَكَسَّرَ كُلَّ أَشْجَارِ تُخُومِهِمْ.

And he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees within their boundary.

٣٤ 34 أَمَرَ فَجَاءَ ٱلْجَرَادُ وَغَوْغَاءُ بِلَا عَدَدٍ،

He spoke, and the locusts came, and crickets, and that without number;

٣٥ 35 فَأَكَلَ كُلَّ عُشْبٍ فِي بِلَادِهِمْ، وَأَكَلَ أَثْمَارَ أَرْضِهِمْ.

And they ate up all the herbs in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.

٣٦ 36 قَتَلَ كُلَّ بِكْرٍ فِي أَرْضِهِمْ، أَوَائِلَ كُلِّ قُوَّتِهِمْ.

And he smote all the first-born in their land, the first of all their strength.

٣٧ 37 فَأَخْرَجَهُمْ بِفِضَّةٍ وَذَهَبٍ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ فِي أَسْبَاطِهِمْ عَاثِرٌ.

And he brought them forth with silver and gold: and there was not one that stumbled among his tribes.

٣٨ 38 فَرِحَتْ مِصْرُ بِخُرُوجِهِمْ، لِأَنَّ رُعْبَهُمْ سَقَطَ عَلَيْهِمْ.

Egypt rejoiced when they departed; for the dread of them was fallen upon them.

٣٩ 39 بَسَطَ سَحَابًا سَجْفًا، وَنَارًا لِتُضِيءَ ٱللَّيْلَ.

He spread out a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.

٤٠ 40 سَأَلُوا فَأَتَاهُمْ بِٱلسَّلْوَى، وَخُبْزَ ٱلسَّمَاءِ أَشْبَعَهُمْ.

The people asked, and he brought quails, and with heavenly bread he satisfied them.

٤١ 41 شَقَّ ٱلصَّخْرَةَ فَٱنْفَجَرَتِ ٱلْمِيَاهُ. جَرَتْ فِي ٱلْيَابِسَةِ نَهْرًا.

He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out: they ran in the dry places like a river.

٤٢ 42 لِأَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ كَلِمَةَ قُدْسِهِ مَعَ إِبْراهِيمَ عَبْدِهِ،

For he remembered his holy word given to Abraham his servant.

٤٣ 43 فَأَخْرَجَ شَعْبَهُ بِٱبْتِهَاجٍ، وَمُخْتَارِيهِ بِتَرَنُّمٍ.

And he brought forth his people with gladness, with joyful song his elect.

٤٤ 44 وَأَعْطَاهُمْ أَرَاضِيَ ٱلْأُمَمِ، وَتَعَبَ ٱلشُّعُوبِ وَرِثُوهُ،

And he gave them the lands of nations; and the labor of people they obtained as an inheritance:

٤٥ 45 لِكَيْ يَحْفَظُوا فَرَائِضَهُ وَيُطِيعُوا شَرَائِعَهُ. هَلِّلُويَا.

So that they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Hallelujah.
