< أَمْثَالٌ 30 >
كَلَامُ أَجُورَ ٱبْنِ مُتَّقِيَةِ مَسَّا. وَحْيُ هَذَا ٱلرَّجُلِ إِلَى إِيثِيئِيلَ، إِلَى إِيثِيئِيلَ وَأُكَّالَ: | ١ 1 |
[the] words of - Agur [the] son of Jakeh the oracle [the] utterance of the man to Ithiel to Ithiel and Ukal.
إِنِّي أَبْلَدُ مِن كُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ، وَلَيْسَ لِي فَهْمُ إِنْسَانٍ، | ٢ 2 |
That [am] stupid I more than anyone and not [the] understanding of a person [belongs] to me.
وَلَمْ أَتَعَلَّمِ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْ مَعْرِفَةَ ٱلْقُدُّوسِ. | ٣ 3 |
And not I have learned wisdom and knowledge of [the] holy [one] I know.
مَنْ صَعِدَ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَنَزَلَ؟ مَنْ جَمَعَ ٱلرِّيحَ في حَفْنَتَيْهِ؟ مَنْ صَرَّ ٱلْمِيَاهَ في ثَوْبٍ؟ مَنْ ثَبَّتَ جَمِيعَ أَطْرَافِ ٱلْأَرْضِ؟ مَا ٱسْمُهُ؟ وَمَا ٱسْمُ ٱبْنِهِ إِنْ عَرَفْتَ؟ | ٤ 4 |
Who? has he gone up heaven - and has he come down? who? has he gathered [the] wind - in hands his who? has he wrapped [the] waters - in cloak who? has he set up all [the] ends of [the] earth what? [is] name his and what? [is] [the] name of son his for you know.
كُلُّ كَلِمَةٍ مِنَ ٱللهِ نَقِيَّةٌ. تُرْسٌ هُوَ لِلْمُحْتَمِينَ بِهِ. | ٥ 5 |
Every word of God [is] refined [is] a shield he for [those who] take refuge in him.
لَا تَزِدْ عَلَى كَلِمَاتِهِ لِئَلَّا يُوَبِّخَكَ فَتُكَذَّبَ. | ٦ 6 |
May not you add to words his lest he should rebuke you and you will be proved a liar.
اِثْنَتَيْنِ سَأَلْتُ مِنْكَ، فَلَا تَمْنَعْهُمَا عَنِّي قَبْلَ أَنْ أَمُوتَ: | ٧ 7 |
Two [things] I ask from with you may not you withhold [them] from me before I will die.
أَبْعِدْ عَنِّي ٱلْبَاطِلَ وَٱلْكَذِبَ. لَا تُعْطِنِي فَقْرًا وَلَا غِنًى. أَطْعِمْنِي خُبْزَ فَرِيضَتِي، | ٨ 8 |
Deceitfulness - and a word of falsehood put far away from me poverty and wealth may not you give to me let devour me [the] food of allotment my.
لِئَلَّا أَشْبَعَ وَأَكْفُرَ وَأَقُولَ: «مَنْ هُوَ ٱلرَّبُّ؟» أَوْ لِئَلَّا أَفْتَقِرَ وَأَسْرِقَ وَأَتَّخِذَ ٱسْمَ إِلَهِي بَاطِلًا. | ٩ 9 |
Lest I should be satisfied - and I will deny and I will say who? [is] Yahweh and lest I should become impoverished and I will steal and I will seize [the] name of God my.
لَا تَشْكُ عَبْدًا إِلَى سَيِّدِهِ لِئَلَّا يَلْعَنَكَ فَتَأْثَمَ. | ١٠ 10 |
May not you slander a slave to (master his *Q(K)*) lest he should curse you and you will be held guilty.
جِيلٌ يَلْعَنُ أَبَاهُ وَلَا يُبَارِكُ أُمَّهُ. | ١١ 11 |
A generation father its it curses and mother its not it blesses.
جِيلٌ طَاهِرٌ فِي عَيْنَيْ نَفْسِهِ، وَهُوَ لَمْ يَغْتَسِلْ مِنْ قَذَرِهِ. | ١٢ 12 |
A generation [is] pure in own eyes its and from excrement its not it has been washed.
جِيلٌ مَا أَرْفَعَ عَيْنَيْهِ، وَحَوَاجِبُهُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ. | ١٣ 13 |
A generation how! they are raised eyes its and eyelids its they are lifted up.
جِيلٌ أَسْنَانُهُ سُيُوفٌ، وَأَضْرَاسُهُ سَكَاكِينُ، لِأَكْلِ ٱلْمَسَاكِينِ عَنِ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلْفُقَرَاءِ مِنْ بَيْنِ ٱلنَّاسِ. | ١٤ 14 |
A generation - [are] swords teeth its and [are] knives jaw bones its to devour afflicted [people] from [the] earth and needy [people] from humankind.
لِلْعَلُوقَةِ بِنْتَانِ: «هَاتِ، هَاتِ!». ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا تَشْبَعُ، أَرْبَعَةٌ لَا تَقُولُ: «كَفَا»: | ١٥ 15 |
[belong] to A leech - two daughters give - give three [things] they not they are satisfied four [things] not they say enough.
ٱلْهَاوِيَةُ، وَٱلرَّحِمُ ٱلْعَقِيمُ، وَأَرْضٌ لَا تَشْبَعُ مَاءً، وَٱلنَّارُ لَا تَقُولُ: «كَفَا». (Sheol ) | ١٦ 16 |
Sheol and barrenness of a womb land [which] not it is satisfied water and fire [which] not it says enough. (Sheol )
اَلْعَيْنُ ٱلْمُسْتَهْزِئَةُ بِأَبِيهَا، وَٱلْمُحْتَقِرَةُ إِطَاعَةَ أُمِّهَا، تُقَوِّرُهَا غُرْبَانُ ٱلْوَادِي، وَتَأْكُلُهَا فِرَاخُ ٱلنَّسْرِ. | ١٧ 17 |
An eye - [which] it mocks a father so it may despise obedience of a mother they will pluck out it [the] ravens of [the] wadi and they will eat it [the] young of an eagle.
ثَلَاثَةٌ عَجِيبَةٌ فَوْقِي، وَأَرْبَعَةٌ لَا أَعْرِفُهَا: | ١٨ 18 |
Three [things] they they are [too] wonderful for me (and four [things] *Q(k)*) not I know them.
طَرِيقَ نَسْرٍ فِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ، وَطَرِيقَ حَيَّةٍ عَلَى صَخْرٍ، وَطَرِيقَ سَفِينَةٍ فِي قَلْبِ ٱلْبَحْرِ، وَطَرِيقَ رَجُلٍ بِفَتَاةٍ. | ١٩ 19 |
[the] way of The eagle - in the heavens [the] way of a snake on a rock [the] way of a ship in [the] heart of [the] sea and [the] way of a man with a young woman.
كَذَلِكَ طَرِيقُ ٱلْمَرْأَةِ ٱلزَّانِيَةِ. أَكَلَتْ وَمَسَحَتْ فَمَهَا وَقَالَتْ: «مَا عَمِلْتُ إِثْمًا!». | ٢٠ 20 |
[is] thus - [the] way of A woman adulterous she eats and she wipes clean mouth her and she says not I have done wickedness.
تَحْتَ ثَلَاثَةٍ تَضْطَرِبُ ٱلْأَرْضُ، وَأَرْبَعَةٌ لَا تَسْتَطِيعُ ٱحْتِمَالَهَا: | ٢١ 21 |
Under three [things] it quakes [the] earth and under four [things] not it is able to bear up.
تَحْتَ عَبْدٍ إِذَا مَلَكَ، وَأَحْمَقَ إِذَا شَبِعَ خُبْزًا، | ٢٢ 22 |
Under a slave for he will become king and a fool for he will be satisfied food.
تَحْتَ شَنِيعَةٍ إِذَا تَزَوَّجَتْ، وَأَمَةٍ إِذَا وَرَثَتْ سَيِّدَتَهَا. | ٢٣ 23 |
Under a hated [woman] for she will be married and a female servant for she will dispossess mistress her.
أَرْبَعَةٌ هِيَ ٱلْأَصْغَرُ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ، وَلَكِنَّهَا حَكِيمَةٌ جِدًّا: | ٢٤ 24 |
Four [things] they [are] small [things] of [the] earth and they [are] wise [things] made wise.
ٱلنَّمْلُ طَائِفَةٌ غَيْرُ قَوِيَّةٍ، وَلَكِنَّهُ يُعِدُّ طَعَامَهُ فِي ٱلصَّيْفِ. | ٢٥ 25 |
The ants [are] a people not strong and they prepared in the summer food their.
ٱلْوِبَارُ طَائِفَةٌ ضَعِيفَةٌ، وَلَكِنَّهَا تَضَعُ بُيُوتَهَا فِي ٱلصَّخْرِ. | ٢٦ 26 |
Rock badgers [are] a people not mighty and they made in the rock[s] home their.
ٱلْجَرَادُ لَيْسَ لَهُ مَلِكٌ، وَلَكِنَّهُ يَخْرُجُ كُلُّهُ فِرَقًا فِرَقًا. | ٢٧ 27 |
A king not [belongs] to the locust and it went out dividing all of it.
ٱلْعَنْكَبُوتُ تُمْسِكُ بِيَدَيْهَا، وَهِيَ فِي قُصُورِ ٱلْمُلُوكِ. | ٢٨ 28 |
A lizard in [two] hands you will grasp and it [is] in [the] palaces of a king.
ثَلَاثَةٌ هِيَ حَسَنَةُ ٱلتَّخَطِّي، وَأَرْبَعَةٌ مَشْيُهَا مُسْتَحْسَنٌ: | ٢٩ 29 |
Three [things] they [are] doing well of step and four [things] [are] doing well to walk.
اَلْأَسَدُ جَبَّارُ ٱلْوُحُوشِ، وَلَا يَرْجِعُ مِنْ قُدَّامِ أَحَدٍ، | ٣٠ 30 |
A lion [is] mighty among the animal[s] and not it turns back from before anything.
ضَامِرُ ٱلشَّاكِلَةِ، وَٱلتَّيْسُ، وَٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلَّذِي لَا يُقَاوَمُ. | ٣١ 31 |
A rooster of loins or a male goat and a king a band of soldiers with him.
إِنْ حَمِقْتَ بِٱلتَّرَفُّعِ وَإِنْ تَآمَرْتَ، فَضَعْ يَدَكَ عَلَى فَمِكَ، | ٣٢ 32 |
If you have been foolish by exalting yourself and if you have plotted hand to a mouth.
لِأَنَّ عَصْرَ ٱللَّبَنِ يُخْرِجُ جُبْنًا، وَعَصْرَ ٱلْأَنْفِ يُخْرِجُ دَمًا، وَعَصْرَ ٱلْغَضَبِ يُخْرِجُ خِصَامًا. | ٣٣ 33 |
For squeezing of milk it brings forth butter and squeezing of a nose it brings forth blood and squeezing of anger it brings forth strife.
