اَلْعَدَد 31
| وَكَلَّمَ ٱلرَّبُّ مُوسَى قَائِلًا: | ١ 1 |
And the Lord spak to Moyses, and seide,
| «اِنْتَقِمْ نَقْمَةً لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنَ ٱلْمِدْيَانِيِّينَ، ثُمَّ تُضَمُّ إِلَى قَوْمِكَ». | ٢ 2 |
Venge thou firste the sones of Israel of Madianytis, and so thou schalt be gaderid to thi puple.
| فَكَلَّمَ مُوسَى ٱلشَّعْبَ قَائِلًا: «جَرِّدُوا مِنْكُمْ رِجَالًا لِلْجُنْدِ، فَيَكُونُوا عَلَى مِدْيَانَ لِيَجْعَلُوا نَقْمَةَ ٱلرَّبِّ عَلَى مِدْيَانَ. | ٣ 3 |
And anoon Moises seide, Arme ye men of you to batel, that moun take of Madianytis the veniaunce of the Lord.
| أَلْفًا وَاحِدًا مِنْ كُلِّ سِبْطٍ مِنْ جَمِيعِ أَسْبَاطِ إِسْرَائِيلَ تُرْسِلُونَ لِلْحَرْبِ». | ٤ 4 |
Of ech lynage be chosun a thousynde men of Israel, that schulen be sent to batel.
| فَٱخْتِيرَ مِنْ أُلُوفِ إِسْرَائِيلَ أَلْفٌ مِنْ كُلِّ سِبْطٍ. ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا مُجَرَّدُونَ لِلْحَرْبِ. | ٥ 5 |
And of ech lynage thei yauen a thousynde, that is twelue thousynde of men, redi to batel;
| فَأَرْسَلَهُمْ مُوسَى أَلْفًا مِنْ كُلِّ سِبْطٍ إِلَى ٱلْحَرْبِ، هُمْ وَفِينْحَاسَ بْنَ أَلِعَازَارَ ٱلْكَاهِنِ إِلَى ٱلْحَرْبِ، وَأَمْتِعَةُ ٱلْقُدْسِ وَأَبْوَاقُ ٱلْهُتَافِ فِي يَدِهِ. | ٦ 6 |
whiche Moises sente with Fynees, the sone of Eleazar, preest. And he bitook to hem hooli vesselis, and trumpis to make sown.
| فَتَجَنَّدُوا عَلَى مِدْيَانَ كَمَا أَمَرَ ٱلرَّبُّ وَقَتَلُوا كُلَّ ذَكَرٍ. | ٧ 7 |
And whanne thei hadden fouyt ayens Madianytis, and hadden ouercome, thei killiden alle the malis,
| وَمُلُوكُ مِدْيَانَ قَتَلُوهُمْ فَوْقَ قَتْلَاهُمْ: أَوِيَ وَرَاقِمَ وَصُورَ وَحُورَ وَرَابِعَ. خَمْسَةَ مُلُوكِ مِدْيَانَ. وَبَلْعَامَ بْنَ بَعُورَ قَتَلُوهُ بِٱلسَّيْفِ. | ٨ 8 |
and `the kyngis of hem, Euy, and Reem, and Sur, and Hur, and Rebe, fyue princes of `the folc of hem. Also thei killiden bi swerd Balaam, the sone of Beor.
| وَسَبَى بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ نِسَاءَ مِدْيَانَ وَأَطْفَالَهُمْ، وَنَهَبُوا جَمِيعَ بَهَائِمِهِمْ، وَجَمِيعَ مَوَاشِيهِمْ وَكُلَّ أَمْلَاكِهِمْ. | ٩ 9 |
And thei token the wymmen of hem, and the litle children, and alle beestis, and al purtenaunce of howshold; what euer thei myyten haue, thei spuyleden;
| وَأَحْرَقُوا جَمِيعَ مُدُنِهِمْ بِمَسَاكِنِهِمْ، وَجَمِيعَ حُصُونِهِمْ بِٱلنَّارِ. | ١٠ 10 |
flawme brente as wel citees, as litle townes and castels.
| وَأَخَذُوا كُلَّ ٱلْغَنِيمَةِ وَكُلَّ ٱلنَّهْبِ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱلْبَهَائِمِ، | ١١ 11 |
And they token pray, and alle thingis whiche thei hadden take, as wel of men as of beestis, and thei brouyten to Moyses,
| وَأَتَوْا إِلَى مُوسَى وَأَلِعَازَارَ ٱلْكَاهِنِ وَإِلَى جَمَاعَةِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ بِٱلسَّبْيِ وَٱلنَّهْبِ وَٱلْغَنِيمَةِ إِلَى ٱلْمَحَلَّةِ إِلَى عَرَبَاتِ مُوآبَ ٱلَّتِي عَلَى أُرْدُنِّ أَرِيحَا. | ١٢ 12 |
and to Eleazar, preest, and to al the multitude of the sones of Israel. Forsothe thei baren othere `thingis perteynynge to vss, to the castels in the feldi places of Moab bisidis Jordan, ayens Jericho.
| فَخَرَجَ مُوسَى وَأَلِعَازَارُ ٱلْكَاهِنُ وَكُلُّ رُؤَسَاءِ ٱلْجَمَاعَةِ لِٱسْتِقْبَالِهِمْ إِلَى خَارِجِ ٱلْمَحَلَّةِ. | ١٣ 13 |
Moises and Eleazar, preest, and alle the princes of the synagoge, yeden out in to the comyng of hem, with out the castels, `that is, of the tabernacle.
| فَسَخَطَ مُوسَى عَلَى وُكَلَاءِ ٱلْجَيْشِ، رُؤَسَاءِ ٱلْأُلُوفِ وَرُؤَسَاءِ ٱلْمِئَاتِ ٱلْقَادِمِينَ مِنْ جُنْدِ ٱلْحَرْبِ. | ١٤ 14 |
And Moises was wrooth to the princes of the oost, to tribunes, and centuriouns, that camen fro batel;
| وَقَالَ لَهُمْ مُوسَى: «هَلْ أَبْقَيْتُمْ كُلَّ أُنْثَى حَيَّةً؟ | ١٥ 15 |
and he seide, Whi reserueden ye wymmen?
| إِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ كُنَّ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، حَسَبَ كَلَامِ بَلْعَامَ، سَبَبَ خِيَانَةٍ لِلرَّبِّ فِي أَمْرِ فَغُورَ، فَكَانَ ٱلْوَبَأُ فِي جَمَاعَةِ ٱلرَّبِّ. | ١٦ 16 |
whether it be not these that disseyueden the sones of Israel, at the suggestioun of Balaam, and maden you to do trespas ayens the Lord, on the synne of Phegor, wherfor also the puple was slayn?
| فَٱلْآنَ ٱقْتُلُوا كُلَّ ذَكَرٍ مِنَ ٱلْأَطْفَالِ. وَكُلَّ ٱمْرَأَةٍ عَرَفَتْ رَجُلًا بِمُضَاجَعَةِ ذَكَرٍ ٱقْتُلُوهَا. | ١٧ 17 |
And therfor sle ye alle men, what euer thing is of male kynde, and litle children; and strangle ye the wymmen that knew men fleischli;
| لَكِنْ جَمِيعُ ٱلْأَطْفَالِ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَاءِ ٱللَّوَاتِي لَمْ يَعْرِفْنَ مُضَاجَعَةَ ذَكَرٍ أَبْقُوهُنَّ لَكُمْ حَيَّاتٍ. | ١٨ 18 |
forsothe reserue ye to you damesels, and alle wymmen virgyns,
| وَأَمَّا أَنْتُمْ فَٱنْزِلُوا خَارِجَ ٱلْمَحَلَّةِ سَبْعَةَ أَيَّامٍ، وَتَطَهَّرُوا كُلُّ مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا، وَكُلُّ مَنْ مَسَّ قَتِيلًا، فِي ٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلثَّالِثِ وَفِي ٱلسَّابِعِ، أَنْتُمْ وَسَبْيُكُمْ. | ١٩ 19 |
and dwelle ye with out the castels in seuene daies. He that sleeth a man, ether touchith a slayn man, schal be clensid in the thridde and the seuenthe dai;
| وَكُلُّ ثَوْبٍ، وَكُلُّ مَتَاعٍ مِنْ جِلْدٍ، وَكُلُّ مَصْنُوعٍ مِنْ شَعْرِ مَعْزٍ، وَكُلُّ مَتَاعٍ مِنْ خَشَبٍ، تُطَهِّرُونَهُ». | ٢٠ 20 |
and of al the pray, whether it is clooth, ether vessel, and ony thing maad redi in to thingis perteynynge to vss, of the skynnys and heeris of geet, and `of tre, it schal be clensid.
| وَقَالَ أَلِعَازَارُ ٱلْكَاهِنُ لِرِجَالِ ٱلْجُنْدِ ٱلَّذِينَ ذَهَبُوا لِلْحَرْبِ: «هَذِهِ فَرِيضَةُ ٱلشَّرِيعَةِ ٱلَّتِي أَمَرَ بِهَا ٱلرَّبُّ مُوسَى: | ٢١ 21 |
And Eleazar, preest, spak thus to the men of the oost that fouyten, This is the comaundement of the lawe, which the Lord comaundide to Moises,
| اَلذَّهَبُ وَٱلْفِضَّةُ وَٱلنُّحَاسُ وَٱلْحَدِيدُ وَٱلْقَصْدِيرُ وَٱلرَّصَاصُ، | ٢٢ 22 |
The gold, and siluer, and bras, and yrun, and tiyn, and leed, and al thing that may passe by flawme, schal be purgid bi fier;
| كُلُّ مَا يَدْخُلُ ٱلنَّارَ، تُجِيزُونَهُ فِي ٱلنَّارِ فَيَكُونُ طَاهِرًا، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ يَتَطَهَّرُ بِمَاءِ ٱلنَّجَاسَةِ. وَأَمَّا كُلُّ مَا لَا يَدْخُلُ ٱلنَّارَ فَتُجِيزُونَهُ فِي ٱلْمَاءِ. | ٢٣ 23 |
sotheli what euer thing may not suffre fier, schal be halewid bi the watir of clensyng.
| وَتَغْسِلُونَ ثِيَابَكُمْ فِي ٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلسَّابِعِ فَتَكُونُونَ طَاهِرِينَ، وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ تَدْخُلُونَ ٱلْمَحَلَّةَ». | ٢٤ 24 |
And ye schulen waische youre clothis in the seuenthe dai, and ye schulen be clensid; and aftirward ye schulen entre in to the castels `of the tabernacle.
| وَكَلَّمَ ٱلرَّبُّ مُوسَى قَائِلًا: | ٢٥ 25 |
And the Lord seide to Moises, Take ye the summe of tho thingis that ben takun, fro man `til to beeste,
| «أَحْصِ ٱلنَّهْبَ ٱلْمَسْبِيَّ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱلْبَهَائِمِ، أَنْتَ وَأَلِعَازَارُ ٱلْكَاهِنُ وَرُؤُوسُ آبَاءِ ٱلْجَمَاعَةِ. | ٢٦ 26 |
thou, and Eleazar, preest, and alle the princes of the comyn puple.
| وَنَصِّفِ ٱلنَّهْبَ بَيْنَ ٱلَّذِينَ بَاشَرُوا ٱلْقِتَالَ ٱلْخَارِجِينَ إِلَى ٱلْحَرْبِ، وَبَيْنَ كُلِّ ٱلْجَمَاعَةِ. | ٢٧ 27 |
And thou schalt departe euenli the prey bytwixe hem that fouyten and yeden out to batel, and bitwixe al the multitude.
| وَٱرْفَعْ زَكَاةً لِلرَّبِّ. مِنْ رِجَالِ ٱلْحَرْبِ ٱلْخَارِجِينَ إِلَى ٱلْقِتَالِ وَاحِدَةً. نَفْسًا مِنْ كُلِّ خَمْسِ مِئَةٍ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱلْبَقَرِ وَٱلْحَمِيرِ وَٱلْغَنَمِ. | ٢٨ 28 |
And thou schalt departe a part to the Lord, of hem that fouyten, and weren in batel, `o soule of fiue hundrid, as wel of men, as of oxun, and of assis, and of scheep.
| مِنْ نِصْفِهِمْ تَأْخُذُونَهَا وَتُعْطُونَهَا لِأَلِعَازَارَ ٱلْكَاهِنِ رَفِيعَةً لِلرَّبِّ. | ٢٩ 29 |
And thou schalt yyue `that part to Eleazar, preest, for tho ben the firste fruytis of the Lord.
| وَمِنْ نِصْفِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ تَأْخُذُ وَاحِدَةً مَأْخُوذَةً مِنْ كُلِّ خَمْسِينَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱلْبَقَرِ وَٱلْحَمِيرِ وَٱلْغَنَمِ مِنْ جَمِيعِ ٱلْبَهَائِمِ، وَتُعْطِيهَا لِلَّاوِيِّينَ ٱلْحَافِظِينَ شَعَائِرَ مَسْكَنِ ٱلرَّبِّ». | ٣٠ 30 |
Also of the myddil part of the sones of Israel, thou schalt take the fiftithe heed of men, and of oxun, and of assis, and of scheep, and of alle lyuynge beestis; and thou schalt yyue tho to the dekenes, that waken in the kepyngis of the tabernacle of the Lord.
| فَفَعَلَ مُوسَى وَأَلِعَازَارُ ٱلْكَاهِنُ كَمَا أَمَرَ ٱلرَّبُّ مُوسَى. | ٣١ 31 |
And Moyses and Eleazar diden, as the Lord comaundide.
| وَكَانَ ٱلنَّهْبُ فَضْلَةُ ٱلْغَنِيمَةِ ٱلَّتِي ٱغْتَنَمَهَا رِجَالُ ٱلْجُنْدِ: مِنَ ٱلْغَنَمِ سِتَّ مِئَةٍ وَخَمْسَةً وَسَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا، | ٣٢ 32 |
Forsothe the prey which the oost hadde take, was sixe hundrid fyue and seuenti thousynde of scheep,
| وَمِنَ ٱلْبَقَرِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَسَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا، | ٣٣ 33 |
of oxun two and seuenti thousynde,
| وَمِنَ ٱلْحَمِيرِ وَاحِدًا وَسِتِّينَ أَلْفًا، | ٣٤ 34 |
of assis sixti thousynde and a thousynde;
| وَمِنْ نُفُوسِ ٱلنَّاسِ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَاءِ ٱللَّوَاتِي لَمْ يَعْرِفْنَ مُضَاجَعَةَ ذَكَرٍ، جَمِيعِ ٱلنُّفُوسِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَلْفًا. | ٣٥ 35 |
the soules of persones of femal kynde, that knewen not fleischli men, two and thretti thousynde.
| وَكَانَ ٱلنِّصْفُ نَصِيبُ ٱلْخَارِجِينَ إِلَى ٱلْحَرْبِ: عَدَدُ ٱلْغَنَمِ ثَلَاثَ مِئَةٍ وَسَبْعَةً وَثَلَاثِينَ أَلْفًا وَخَمْسَ مِئَةٍ. | ٣٦ 36 |
And the myddil part was youun to hem that weren in the batel, of scheep thre hundrid seuene and thretti thousynde and fyue hundrid;
| وَكَانَتِ ٱلزَّكَاةُ لِلرَّبِّ مِنَ ٱلْغَنَمِ سِتَّ مِئَةٍ وَخَمْسَةً وَسَبْعِينَ، | ٣٧ 37 |
of whiche sixe hundrid fyue and seuenti scheep weren noumbrid in to the part of the Lord;
| وَٱلْبَقَرُ سِتَّةً وَثَلَاثِينَ أَلْفًا، وَزَكَاتُهَا لِلرَّبِّ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَسَبْعِينَ، | ٣٨ 38 |
and of sixe and thretti thousynde oxun,
| وَٱلْحَمِيرُ ثَلَاثِينَ أَلْفًا وَخَمْسَ مِئَةٍ، وَزَكَاتُهَا لِلرَّبِّ وَاحِدًا وَسِتِّينَ، | ٣٩ 39 |
two and seuenti oxun, and of thretti thousynde assis and fyue hundryd, oon and sixti assis;
| وَنُفُوسُ ٱلنَّاسِ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ أَلْفًا، وَزَكَاتُهَا لِلرَّبِّ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَثَلَاثِينَ نَفْسًا. | ٤٠ 40 |
of sixtene thousynde persoones of men, twei and thretti persoones bifelden in to the `part of the Lord.
| فَأَعْطَى مُوسَى ٱلزَّكَاةَ رَفِيعَةَ ٱلرَّبِّ لِأَلِعَازَارَ ٱلْكَاهِنِ كَمَا أَمَرَ ٱلرَّبُّ مُوسَى. | ٤١ 41 |
And Moises bitook the noumbre of the firste fruytis of the Lord to Eleazar, preest, as it was comaundid to hym,
| وَأَمَّا نِصْفُ إِسْرَائِيلَ ٱلَّذِي قَسَمَهُ مُوسَى مِنَ ٱلرِّجَالِ ٱلْمُتَجَنِّدِينَ: | ٤٢ 42 |
of the myddil part of the sones of Israel, which he departide to hem that weren in batel.
| فَكَانَ نِصْفُ ٱلْجَمَاعَةِ مِنَ ٱلْغَنَمِ ثَلَاثَ مِئَةٍ وَسَبْعَةً وَثَلَاثِينَ أَلْفًا وَخَمْسَ مِئَةٍ، | ٤٣ 43 |
And of the myddil part that bifelde to the tother multitude, that is, of thre hundrid seuene and thretti thousynde scheep and fyue hundrid,
| وَمِنَ ٱلْبَقَرِ سِتَّةً وَثَلَاثِينَ أَلْفًا، | ٤٤ 44 |
and of sixe and thretti thousynde oxun,
| وَمِنَ ٱلْحَمِيرِ ثَلَاثِينَ أَلْفًا وَخَمْسَ مِئَةٍ، | ٤٥ 45 |
and of thretti thousynde assis and fyue hundrid, and of sixtene thousynde wymmen,
| وَمِنْ نُفُوسِ ٱلنَّاسِ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ أَلْفًا. | ٤٦ 46 |
Moyses took the fyftithe heed,
| فَأَخَذَ مُوسَى مِنْ نِصْفِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ٱلْمَأْخُوذِ وَاحِدًا مِنْ كُلِّ خَمْسِينَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَمِنَ ٱلْبَهَائِمِ، وَأَعْطَاهَا لِلَّاوِيِّينَ ٱلْحَافِظِينَ شَعَائِرَ مَسْكَنِ ٱلرَّبِّ، كَمَا أَمَرَ ٱلرَّبُّ مُوسَى. | ٤٧ 47 |
and yaf to the dekenes, that wakiden in the tabernacle of the Lord, as the Lord comaundide.
| ثُمَّ تَقَدَّمَ إِلَى مُوسَى ٱلْوُكَلَاءُ ٱلَّذِينَ عَلَى أُلُوفِ ٱلْجُنْدِ، رُؤَسَاءُ ٱلْأُلُوفِ وَرُؤَسَاءُ ٱلْمِئَاتِ، | ٤٨ 48 |
And whanne the princes of the oost, and the tribunes and centuriouns hadden neiyed to Moises,
| وَقَالُوا لِمُوسَى: «عَبِيدُكَ قَدْ أَخَذُوا عَدَدَ رِجَالِ ٱلْحَرْبِ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي أَيْدِينَا فَلَمْ يُفْقَدْ مِنَّا إِنْسَانٌ. | ٤٩ 49 |
thei seiden, We thi seruauntis han teld the noumbre of fiyters, whiche we hadden vndur oure hoond, and sotheli not oon failide;
| فَقَدْ قَدَّمْنَا قُرْبَانَ ٱلرَّبِّ، كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مَا وَجَدَهُ، أَمْتِعَةَ ذَهَبٍ: حُجُولًا وَأَسَاوِرَ وَخَوَاتِمَ وَأَقْرَاطًا وَقَلَائِدَ، لِلتَّكْفِيرِ عَنْ أَنْفُسِنَا أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ». | ٥٠ 50 |
for which cause we offren `in the fre yiftis of the Lord, alle bi vs silf, that that we myyten fynde of gold in the pray, girdelis for `the myddil of wymmen, and bies of the armes, and ryngis, and ournementis of the arm nyy the hond, and bies of the neckis of wymmen, that thou preye the Lord for vs.
| فَأَخَذَ مُوسَى وَأَلِعَازَارُ ٱلْكَاهِنُ ٱلذَّهَبَ مِنْهُمْ، كُلَّ أَمْتِعَةٍ مَصْنُوعَةٍ. | ٥١ 51 |
And Moises and Eleazar, preest, token al the gold in dyuerse spices,
| وَكَانَ كُلُّ ذَهَبِ ٱلرَّفِيعَةِ ٱلَّتِي رَفَعُوهَا لِلرَّبِّ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ أَلْفًا وَسَبْعَ مِئَةٍ وَخَمْسِينَ شَاقِلًا مِنْ عِنْدِ رُؤَسَاءِ ٱلْأُلُوفِ وَرُؤَسَاءِ ٱلْمِئَاتِ. | ٥٢ 52 |
`ether kyndis, bi the weiyte of the seyntuarye, sixtene thousynde seuene hundrid and fifti siclis, of the tribunes, and centuriouns.
| أَمَّا رِجَالُ ٱلْجُنْدِ فَٱغْتَنَمُوا كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ لِنَفْسِهِ. | ٥٣ 53 |
For that that ech man rauyschide in the prey, was his owne;
| فَأَخَذَ مُوسَى وَأَلِعَازَارُ ٱلْكَاهِنُ ٱلذَّهَبَ مِنْ رُؤَسَاءِ ٱلْأُلُوفِ وَٱلْمِئَاتِ وَأَتَيَا بِهِ إِلَى خَيْمَةِ ٱلِٱجْتِمَاعِ تَذْكَارًا لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ. | ٥٤ 54 |
and thei baren the gold taken in to the tabernacle of witnessyng, in to the mynde of the sones of Israel, bifor the Lord.
