اَلتَّكْوِينُ 32
| وَأَمَّا يَعْقُوبُ فَمَضَى فِي طَرِيقِهِ وَلَاقَاهُ مَلَائِكَةُ ٱللهِ. | ١ 1 |
and Jacob to go: went to/for way: journey his and to fall on in/on/with him messenger: angel God
| وَقَالَ يَعْقُوبُ إِذْ رَآهُمْ: «هَذَا جَيْشُ ٱللهِ!». فَدَعَا ٱسْمَ ذَلِكَ ٱلْمَكَانِ «مَحَنَايِمَ». | ٢ 2 |
and to say Jacob like/as as which to see: see them camp God this and to call: call by name [the] place [the] he/she/it Mahanaim
| وَأَرْسَلَ يَعْقُوبُ رُسُلًا قُدَّامَهُ إِلَى عِيسُوَ أَخِيهِ إِلَى أَرْضِ سَعِيرَ بِلَادِ أَدُومَ، | ٣ 3 |
and to send: depart Jacob messenger to/for face: before his to(wards) Esau brother: male-sibling his land: country/planet [to] Seir land: country Edom
| وَأَمَرَهُمْ قَائِلًا: «هَكَذَا تَقُولُونَ لِسَيِّدِي عِيسُوَ: هَكَذَا قَالَ عَبْدُكَ يَعْقُوبُ: تَغَرَّبْتُ عِنْدَ لَابَانَ وَلَبِثْتُ إِلَى ٱلْآنَ. | ٤ 4 |
and to command [obj] them to/for to say thus to say [emph?] to/for lord my to/for Esau thus to say servant/slave your Jacob with Laban to sojourn and to delay till now
| وَقَدْ صَارَ لِي بَقَرٌ وَحَمِيرٌ وَغَنَمٌ وَعَبِيدٌ وَإِمَاءٌ. وَأَرْسَلْتُ لِأُخْبِرَ سَيِّدِي لِكَيْ أَجِدَ نِعْمَةً فِي عَيْنَيْكَ». | ٥ 5 |
and to be to/for me cattle and donkey flock and servant/slave and maidservant and to send: depart [emph?] to/for to tell to/for lord my to/for to find favor in/on/with eye: seeing your
| فَرَجَعَ ٱلرُّسُلُ إِلَى يَعْقُوبَ قَائِلِينَ: «أَتَيْنَا إِلَى أَخِيكَ، إِلَى عِيسُو، وَهُوَ أَيْضًا قَادِمٌ لِلِقَائِكَ، وَأَرْبَعُ مِئَةِ رَجُلٍ مَعَهُ». | ٦ 6 |
and to return: return [the] messenger to(wards) Jacob to/for to say to come (in): come to(wards) brother: male-sibling your to(wards) Esau and also to go: come to/for to encounter: meet you and four hundred man with him
| فَخَافَ يَعْقُوبُ جِدًّا وَضَاقَ بِهِ ٱلْأَمْرُ، فَقَسَمَ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُ وَٱلْغَنَمَ وَٱلْبَقَرَ وَٱلْجِمَالَ إِلَى جَيْشَيْنِ. | ٧ 7 |
and to fear Jacob much and be distressed to/for him and to divide [obj] [the] people which with him and [obj] [the] flock and [obj] [the] cattle and [the] camel to/for two camp
| وَقَالَ: «إِنْ جَاءَ عِيسُو إِلَى ٱلْجَيْشِ ٱلْوَاحِدِ وَضَرَبَهُ، يَكُونُ ٱلْجَيْشُ ٱلْبَاقِي نَاجِيًا». | ٨ 8 |
and to say if to come (in): come Esau to(wards) [the] camp [the] one and to smite him and to be [the] camp [the] to remain to/for survivor
| وَقَالَ يَعْقُوبُ: «يَا إِلَهَ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِلَهَ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، ٱلرَّبَّ ٱلَّذِي قَالَ لِيَ: ٱرْجِعْ إِلَى أَرْضِكَ وَإِلَى عَشِيرَتِكَ فَأُحْسِنَ إِلَيْكَ. | ٩ 9 |
and to say Jacob God father my Abraham and God father my Isaac LORD [the] to say to(wards) me to return: return to/for land: country/planet your and to/for relatives your and be good with you
| صَغِيرٌ أَنَا عَنْ جَمِيعِ أَلْطَافِكَ وَجَمِيعِ ٱلْأَمَانَةِ ٱلَّتِي صَنَعْتَ إِلَى عَبْدِكَ. فَإِنِّي بِعَصَايَ عَبَرْتُ هَذَا ٱلْأُرْدُنَّ، وَٱلْآنَ قَدْ صِرْتُ جَيْشَيْنِ. | ١٠ 10 |
be small from all [the] kindness and from all [the] truth: faithful which to make: do with servant/slave your for in/on/with rod my to pass [obj] [the] Jordan [the] this and now to be to/for two camp
| نَجِّنِي مِنْ يَدِ أَخِي، مِنْ يَدِ عِيسُوَ، لِأَنِّي خَائِفٌ مِنْهُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ وَيَضْرِبَنِي ٱلْأُمَّ مَعَ ٱلْبَنِينَ. | ١١ 11 |
to rescue me please from hand: power brother: male-sibling my from hand: power Esau for afraid I [obj] him lest to come (in): come and to smite me mother upon son: child
| وَأَنْتَ قَدْ قُلْتَ: إِنِّي أُحْسِنُ إِلَيْكَ وَأَجْعَلُ نَسْلَكَ كَرَمْلِ ٱلْبَحْرِ ٱلَّذِي لَا يُعَدُّ لِلْكَثْرَةِ». | ١٢ 12 |
and you(m. s.) to say be good be good with you and to set: make [obj] seed: children your like/as sand [the] sea which not to recount from abundance
| وَبَاتَ هُنَاكَ تِلْكَ ٱللَّيْلَةَ وَأَخَذَ مِمَّا أَتَى بِيَدِهِ هَدِيَّةً لِعِيسُو أَخِيهِ: | ١٣ 13 |
and to lodge there in/on/with night [the] he/she/it and to take: take from [the] to come (in): bring in/on/with hand: to his offering: gift to/for Esau brother: male-sibling his
| مِئَتَيْ عَنْزٍ وَعِشْرِينَ تَيْسًا، مِئَتَيْ نَعْجَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ كَبْشًا، | ١٤ 14 |
goat hundred and male goat twenty ewe hundred and ram twenty
| ثَلَاثِينَ نَاقَةً مُرْضِعَةً وَأَوْلَادَهَا، أَرْبَعِينَ بَقَرَةً وَعَشْرَةَ ثِيرَانٍ، عِشْرِينَ أَتَانًا وَعَشْرَةَ حَمِيرٍ، | ١٥ 15 |
camel to suckle and son: young animal their thirty heifer forty and bullock ten she-ass twenty and colt ten
| وَدَفَعَهَا إِلَى يَدِ عَبِيدِهِ قَطِيعًا قَطِيعًا عَلَى حِدَةٍ. وَقَالَ لِعَبِيدِهِ: «ٱجْتَازُوا قُدَّامِي وَٱجْعَلُوا فُسْحَةً بَيْنَ قَطِيعٍ وَقَطِيعٍ». | ١٦ 16 |
and to give: give in/on/with hand: to servant/slave his flock flock to/for alone him and to say to(wards) servant/slave his to pass to/for face: before my and space to set: put between flock and between flock
| وَأَمَرَ ٱلْأَوَّلَ قَائِلًا: «إِذَا صَادَفَكَ عِيسُو أَخِي وَسَأَلَكَ قَائِلًا: لِمَنْ أَنْتَ؟ وَإِلَى أَيْنَ تَذْهَبُ؟ وَلِمَنْ هَذَا ٱلَّذِي قُدَّامَكَ؟ | ١٧ 17 |
and to command [obj] [the] first to/for to say for to meet you Esau brother: male-sibling my and to ask you to/for to say to/for who? you(m. s.) and where? to go: went and to/for who? these to/for face: before your
| تَقُولُ: لِعَبْدِكَ يَعْقُوبَ. هُوَ هَدِيَّةٌ مُرْسَلَةٌ لِسَيِّدِي عِيسُوَ، وَهَا هُوَ أَيْضًا وَرَاءَنَا». | ١٨ 18 |
and to say to/for servant/slave your to/for Jacob offering: gift he/she/it to send: depart to/for lord my to/for Esau and behold also he/she/it after us
| وَأَمَرَ أَيْضًا ٱلْثَانِى وَٱلثَّالِثَ وَجَمِيعَ ٱلسَّائِرِينَ وَرَاءَ ٱلْقُطْعَانِ قَائِلًا: «بِمِثْلِ هَذَا ٱلْكَلَامِ تُكَلِّمُونَ عِيسُوَ حِينَمَا تَجِدُونَهُ، | ١٩ 19 |
and to command also [obj] [the] second also [obj] [the] third also [obj] all [the] to go: follow after [the] flock to/for to say like/as Chronicles [the] this to speak: speak [emph?] to(wards) Esau in/on/with to find you [obj] him
| وَتَقُولُونَ: هُوَذَا عَبْدُكَ يَعْقُوبُ أَيْضًا وَرَاءَنَا». لِأَنَّهُ قَالَ: «أَسْتَعْطِفُ وَجْهَهُ بِٱلْهَدِيَّةِ ٱلسَّائِرَةِ أَمَامِي، وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَنْظُرُ وَجْهَهُ، عَسَى أَنْ يَرْفَعَ وَجْهِي». | ٢٠ 20 |
and to say also behold servant/slave your Jacob after us for to say to atone face of his in/on/with offering: gift [the] to go: went to/for face: before my and after so to see: see face his perhaps to lift: kindness face: kindness my
| فَٱجْتَازَتِ ٱلْهَدِيَّةُ قُدَّامَهُ، وَأَمَّا هُوَ فَبَاتَ تِلْكَ ٱللَّيْلَةَ فِي ٱلْمَحَلَّةِ. | ٢١ 21 |
and to pass [the] offering: gift upon face: before his and he/she/it to lodge in/on/with night [the] he/she/it in/on/with camp
| ثُمَّ قَامَ فِي تِلْكَ ٱللَّيْلَةِ وَأَخَذَ ٱمْرَأَتَيْهِ وَجَارِيَتَيْهِ وَأَوْلَادَهُ ٱلْأَحَدَ عَشَرَ وَعَبَرَ مَخَاضَةَ يَبُّوقَ. | ٢٢ 22 |
and to arise: rise in/on/with night he/she/it and to take: take [obj] two woman: wife his and [obj] two maidservant his and [obj] one ten youth his and to pass [obj] ford Jabbok
| أَخَذَهُمْ وَأَجَازَهُمُ ٱلْوَادِيَ، وَأَجَازَ مَا كَانَ لَهُ. | ٢٣ 23 |
and to take: take them and to pass them [obj] [the] torrent: river and to pass [obj] which to/for him
| فَبَقِيَ يَعْقُوبُ وَحْدَهُ، وَصَارَعَهُ إِنْسَانٌ حَتَّى طُلُوعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ. | ٢٤ 24 |
and to remain Jacob to/for alone him and to wrestle man with him till to ascend: dawn [the] dawn
| وَلَمَّا رَأَى أَنَّهُ لَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ، ضَرَبَ حُقَّ فَخْذِهِ، فَٱنْخَلَعَ حُقُّ فَخْذِ يَعْقُوبَ فِي مُصَارَعَتِهِ مَعَهُ. | ٢٥ 25 |
and to see: see for not be able to/for him and to touch in/on/with palm: dish thigh his and to dislocate/hang palm: dish thigh Jacob in/on/with to wrestle he with him
| وَقَالَ: «أَطْلِقْنِي، لِأَنَّهُ قَدْ طَلَعَ ٱلْفَجْرُ». فَقَالَ: «لَا أُطْلِقُكَ إِنْ لَمْ تُبَارِكْنِي». | ٢٦ 26 |
and to say to send: let go me for to ascend: dawn [the] dawn and to say not to send: let go you that if: except if: except to bless me
| فَقَالَ لَهُ: «مَا ٱسْمُكَ؟» فَقَالَ: «يَعْقُوبُ». | ٢٧ 27 |
and to say to(wards) him what? name your and to say Jacob
| فَقَالَ: «لَا يُدْعَى ٱسْمُكَ فِي مَا بَعْدُ يَعْقُوبَ بَلْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، لِأَنَّكَ جَاهَدْتَ مَعَ ٱللهِ وَٱلنَّاسِ وَقَدَرْتَ». | ٢٨ 28 |
and to say not Jacob to say still name your that if: except if: except Israel for to strive with God and with human and be able
| وَسَأَلَ يَعْقُوبُ وَقَالَ: «أَخْبِرْنِي بِٱسْمِكَ». فَقَالَ: «لِمَاذَا تَسْأَلُ عَنِ ٱسْمِي؟». وَبَارَكَهُ هُنَاكَ. | ٢٩ 29 |
and to ask Jacob and to say to tell [emph?] please name your and to say to/for what? this to ask to/for name my and to bless [obj] him there
| فَدَعَا يَعْقُوبُ ٱسْمَ ٱلْمَكَانِ «فَنِيئِيلَ» قَائِلًا: «لِأَنِّي نَظَرْتُ ٱللهَ وَجْهًا لِوَجْهٍ، وَنُجِّيَتْ نَفْسِي». | ٣٠ 30 |
and to call: call by Jacob name [the] place Peniel for to see: see God face to(wards) face and to rescue soul: life my
| وَأَشْرَقَتْ لَهُ ٱلشَّمْسُ إِذْ عَبَرَ فَنُوئِيلَ وَهُوَ يَخْمَعُ عَلَى فَخْذِهِ. | ٣١ 31 |
and to rise to/for him [the] sun like/as as which to pass [obj] Peniel and he/she/it to limp upon thigh his
| لِذَلِكَ لَا يَأْكُلُ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ عِرْقَ ٱلنَّسَا ٱلَّذِي عَلَى حُقِّ ٱلْفَخْذِ إِلَى هَذَا ٱلْيَوْمِ، لِأَنَّهُ ضَرَبَ حُقَّ فَخْذِ يَعْقُوبَ عَلَى عِرْقِ ٱلنَّسَا. | ٣٢ 32 |
