| وَأَفْرَزَ دَاوُدُ وَرُؤَسَاءُ ٱلْجَيْشِ لِلْخِدْمَةِ بَنِي آسَافَ وَهَيْمَانَ وَيَدُوثُونَ ٱلْمُتَنَبِّئِينَ بِٱلْعِيدَانِ وَٱلرَّبَابِ وَٱلصُّنُوجِ. وَكَانَ عَدَدُهُمْ مِنْ رِجَالِ ٱلْعَمَلِ حَسَبَ خِدْمَتِهِمْ. | ١ 1 |
David and the leaders of the Levites chose men from the families of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun to serve by prophesying accompanied by lyres, harps, and cymbals. Here is the list of those who performed this service:
| مِنْ بَنِي آسَافَ: زَكُّورُ وَيُوسُفُ وَنَثَنْيَا وَأَشَرْئِيلَةُ. بَنُو آسَافَ تَحْتَ يَدِ آسَافَ ٱلْمُتَنَبِّئِ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ ٱلْمَلِكِ. | ٢ 2 |
From the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asarelah. These sons of Asaph were under the supervision of Asaph, who prophesied under the supervision of the king.
| مِنْ يَدُوثُونَ، بَنُو يَدُوثُونَ: جَدَلْيَا وَصَرِي وَيِشْعِيَا وَحَشَبْيَا وَمَتَّثْيَا، سِتَّةٌ. تَحْتَ يَدِ أَبِيهِمْ يَدُوثُونَ ٱلْمُتَنَبِّئِ بِٱلْعُودِ لِأَجْلِ ٱلْحَمْدِ وَٱلتَّسْبِيحِ لِلرَّبِّ. | ٣ 3 |
From the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six in total, under the supervision of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied accompanied by the harp, giving thanks and praise to the Lord.
| مِنْ هَيْمَانَ: بُقِّيَّا وَمَتَّنْيَا وَعُزِّيئِيلُ وَشَبُوئِيلُ وَيَرِيمُوثُ وَحَنَنْيَا وَحَنَانِي وَإِيلِيآثَةُ وَجِدَّلْتِي وَرُومَمْتِي عَزَرُ وَيُشْبَقَاشَةُ وَمَلُوثِي وَهُوثِيرُ وَمَحْزِيُوثُ. | ٤ 4 |
From the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.
| جَمِيعُ هَؤُلَاءِ بَنُو هَيْمَانَ رَائِي ٱلْمَلِكِ بِكَلَامِ ٱللهِ لِرَفْعِ ٱلْقَرْنِ. وَرَزَقَ ٱلرَّبُّ هَيْمَانَ أَرْبَعَةَ عَشَرَ ٱبْنًا وَثَلَاثَ بَنَاتٍ. | ٥ 5 |
All these sons of Heman, the king's seer, were given to him through the promises of God to honor him, for God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
| كُلُّ هَؤُلَاءِ تَحْتَ يَدِ أَبِيهِمْ لِأَجْلِ غِنَاءِ بَيْتِ ٱلرَّبِّ بِٱلصُّنُوجِ وَٱلرَّبَابِ وَٱلْعِيدَانِ لِخِدْمَةِ بَيْتِ ٱللهِ، تَحْتَ يَدِ ٱلْمَلِكِ وَآسَافَ وَيَدُوثُونَ وَهَيْمَانَ. | ٦ 6 |
All of them were under the supervision of their fathers for the music of the house of the LORD with cymbals, harps, and lyres, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the supervision of the king.
| وَكَانَ عَدَدُهُمْ مَعَ إِخْوَتِهِمِ ٱلْمُتَعَلِّمِينَ ٱلْغِنَاءَ لِلرَّبِّ، كُلِّ ٱلْخَبِيرِينَ مِئَتَيْنِ وَثَمَانِيَةً وَثَمَانِينَ. | ٧ 7 |
Along with their relatives, all of them trained and skilled in singing to the LORD, they totaled 288.
| وَأَلْقَوْا قُرَعَ ٱلْحِرَاسَةِ ٱلصَّغِيرُ كَمَا ٱلْكَبِيرِ، ٱلْمُعَلِّمُ مَعَ ٱلتِّلْمِيذِ. | ٨ 8 |
They cast lots for whatever responsibility they had, the least important equal to the most important, the teacher to the student.
| فَخَرَجَتِ ٱلْقُرْعَةُ ٱلْأُولَى ٱلَّتِي هِيَ لِآسَافَ لِيُوسُفَ. ٱلثَّانِيَةُ لِجَدَلْيَا، هُوَ وَإِخْوَتُهُ وَبَنُوهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ٩ 9 |
The first lot, which was for Asaph, fell to Joseph, his sons, and his brother, 12 in total. The second fell to Gedaliah, his sons, and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلثَّالِثَةُ لِزَكُّورَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ١٠ 10 |
The third fell to Zaccur, his sons, and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلرَّابِعَةُ لِيَصْرِي، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ١١ 11 |
The fourth fell to Izri, his sons, and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلْخَامِسَةُ لِنَثَنْيَا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ١٢ 12 |
The fifth to Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلسَّادِسَةُ لِبُقِّيَّا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ١٣ 13 |
The sixth fell to Bukkiah, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلسَّابِعَةُ لِيَشَرْئِيلَةَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ١٤ 14 |
The seventh fell to Jesarelah, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلثَّامِنَةُ لِيَشْعِيَا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ١٥ 15 |
The eighth fell to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلتَّاسِعَةُ لِمَتَّنْيَا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ١٦ 16 |
The ninth fell to Mattaniah, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلْعَاشِرَةُ لِشِمْعِي، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ١٧ 17 |
The tenth fell to Shimei, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلْحَادِيَةَ عَشَرَةَ لِعَزَرْئِيلَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ١٨ 18 |
The eleventh fell to Azarel, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| وَٱلثَّانِيَةَ عَشَرَةَ لِحَشَبْيَا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ١٩ 19 |
The twelfth fell to Hashabiah, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلثَّالِثَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِشُوبَائِيلَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ٢٠ 20 |
The thirteenth fell to Shubael, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلرَّابِعَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِمَتَّثْيَا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ٢١ 21 |
The fourteenth fell to Mattithiah, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلْخَامِسَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِيَرِيمُوثَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ٢٢ 22 |
The fifteenth fell to Jerimoth, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلسَّادِسَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِحَنَنْيَا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ٢٣ 23 |
The sixteenth fell to Hananiah, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلسَّابِعَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِيَشْبَقَاشَةَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ٢٤ 24 |
The seventeenth fell to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلثَّامِنَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِحَنَانِي، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ٢٥ 25 |
The eighteenth fell to Hanani, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلتَّاسِعَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِمَلُّوثِي، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ٢٦ 26 |
The nineteenth fell to Mallothi, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِإِيلِيآثَةَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ٢٧ 27 |
The twentieth fell to Eliathah, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلْحَادِيَةُ وَٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِهُوثِيرَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ٢٨ 28 |
The twenty-first fell to Hothir, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلثَّانِيةُ وَٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِجِدَّلْتِي، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ، | ٢٩ 29 |
The twenty-second fell to Giddalti, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلثَّالِثَةُ وَٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِمَحْزِيُوثَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ٣٠ 30 |
The twenty-third fell to Mahazioth, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
| ٱلرَّابِعَةُ وَٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِرُومَمْتِي عَزَرَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. | ٣١ 31 |
The twenty-fourth fell to Romamti-Ezer, his sons and his brothers, 12 in total.
