मत्तय 1
1 येशु ख्रिस्त जो दावीद राजाना पोऱ्या, जो अब्राहामना पोऱ्या ह्याना वंशावळीनं पुस्तक.
The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2 अब्राहामले इसहाक नावना पोऱ्या व्हयना; इसहाकले याकोब; याकोबले यहुदा; अनं त्याना भाऊ व्हयनात;
Abraham begat Isaac, and Isaac begat Jacob, and Jacob begat Judah and his brethren;
3 यहुदाले तामारेपाईन पेरेस अनं जेरह व्हयनात; पेरेसले हेस्रोन व्हयना; हेस्रोनले अराम व्हयना;
and Judah had Phares and Zara by Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom,
4 अरामले अम्मीनादाब; अम्मीनादाबले नहशोन; नहशोनले सल्मोन;
and Esrom begat Aram, and Aram begat Aminadab, and Aminadab begat Naasson, and Naasson begat Salmon,
5 सल्मोनले रहाबेपाईन बवाज; बवाजाले रूथपाईन ओबेद; ओबेदाले इशाय;
and Salmon had Booz by Rahab, and Booz had Obed by Ruth,
6 अनं इशायले; दावीद राजा व्हयना; जी पहिले उरीयानी बायको व्हती; तिनापाईन दावीदले शलमोन व्हयना;
and Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David the king, and David had Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah.
7 शलमोनले रहाबाम; रहबामले अबीया; अबीयाले आसा;
And Solomon begat Roboam, and Roboam begat Abia,
8 आसाले यहोशाफाट; यहोशाफाटले योराम; योरामले उज्जीया;
and Abia begat Asa, and Asa begat Josaphat, and Josaphat begat Joram,
9 उज्जीयाले योथाम; योथामले आहाज; आहाजले हिज्कीया;
and Joram begat Ozias, and Ozias begat Joatham, and Joatham begat Ahaz, and Ahaz begat Ezechias,
10 हिज्कीयाले मन्नशे; मन्नशेला आमोन; आमोनले योशीया;
and Ezechias begat Manasses, and Manasses begat Amon,
11 अनी बाबेलले देशांतर व्हयनं तवय योशीयाले यखन्या अनं त्याना भाऊ व्हयनात.
and Amon begat Josias, and Josias begat Jakim, and Jakim begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time of their being carried away to Babylon.
12 बाबेलले देशांतर व्हयनं तवय यखन्याले शल्तीएल व्हयना; शल्तीएलले जरूब्बाबेल;
And after the captivity of Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel,
13 जरूब्बाबेलले अबीहूद; अबीहूदले एल्याकीम; एल्याकीमले अज्जुर;
and Salathiel begat Zorobabel, and Zorobabel begat Abiud, and Abiud begat Eliakim, and Eliakim begat Azor,
14 अज्जुरले सादोक; सादोकले याखीम; याखीमले एलीहुद;
and Azor begat Sadok, and Sadok begat Achim,
15 एलीहुदले एलाजार; एलाजारले मत्तान; मत्तानले याकोब;
and Achim begat Eliud, and Eliud begat Eleazar, and Eleazar begat Matthan, and Matthan begat Jacob,
16 अनी याकोबले योसेफ व्हयना. जो मरीयाना नवरा व्हता, अनी मरीयाले येशु व्हयना ज्याले ख्रिस्त म्हणतस.
and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ.
17 याप्रमाणे अब्राहामपाईन दावीदपावत सर्व मिळीसन चौदा पिढ्या; दावीदपाईन बाबेलले देशांतर करं तोपावत चौदा पिढ्या; अनी बाबेलले देशांतर व्हवनं तवयपाईन ख्रिस्तपावत चौदा पिढ्या.
All the generations therefore from Abraham to David are fourteen generations: and from David until the captivity of Babylon fourteen generations: and from the Babylonish captivity unto Christ, fourteen generations.
18 येशुना जन्म असा व्हयना की, त्यानी माय मरीया हिनी योसेफसंगे मांगनी व्हयेल व्हती, त्यासनं लगीन व्हवाना पहिले पवित्र आत्माकडतीन तिले दिवस राही गयात. अस दखायी वनं
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in wise: when Mary his mother was promised in marriage to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child by the Holy Ghost:
19 तिना नवरा योसेफ हाऊ एक धार्मीक माणुस व्हता अनं तिनी बदनामी व्हवाले नको म्हणीसन तिले चुपचाप सोडी देवानी त्यानी ईच्छा व्हती.
but Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing publicly to expose her, was inclined to break off the contract with her privately;
20 जवय तो हाऊ ईचार करीच राहींता ईतलामा एक प्रभुना स्वर्गदूतनी त्याले सपनमा दर्शन दिसन सांगं, हे, “योसेफ दावीदना पोऱ्या, तु मरीयाले बायको बनाडाले घाबरू नको, कारण तिना पोटमा जो गर्भ शे, तो पवित्र आत्माकडतीन शे.
and when he was thinking on these things, behold an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph thou Son of David, scruple not to take unto thee Mary thy wife; for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
21 ती पोऱ्याले जन्म दि त्यानं नाव तु येशु ठेव, कारण तोच आपला लोकसले पापपाईन वाचाडी.”
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 हाई सर्व यानाकरता व्हयनं, की, प्रभुनी संदेष्टासनाद्वारा जे सांगेल व्हतं ते पुर्ण व्हवाले पाहिजे ते अस.
(Now all this came to pass, that it might be fulfilled, which the Lord spake by the prophet, saying,
23 दखा, “कुमारी गर्भवती व्हई अनं तिले पोऱ्या व्हई, अनी त्याले इम्मानुएल हाई नाव देतीन.” ह्या नावना अर्थ “आमनासंगे देव असा शे.”
"Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel," which is God with us.)
24 तवय झोपमाईन ऊठानंतर प्रभुना दूतनी जशी आज्ञा करी, तसं योसेफनी करं त्यानी आपली बायकोना स्विकार करा.
So Joseph, when he awoke from his sleep, did as the angel of the Lord directed him, and took home his wife:
25 जोपावत तिनी पोऱ्याले जन्म दिधा नही, तोपावत मरीयाना जोडे तो निजना नही, जवय पोऱ्या व्हयना तवय त्यानी त्यानं नाव येशु ठेवं.
and he knew her not, till she brought forth her Son the first-born, and he called his name Jesus.
