The dove came back to him at evening and, behold, in her mouth was a freshly plucked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from the earth.
فَأَتَتْ إِلَيْهِ ٱلْحَمَامَةُ عِنْدَ ٱلْمَسَاءِ، وَإِذَا وَرَقَةُ زَيْتُونٍ خَضْرَاءُ فِي فَمِهَا. فَعَلِمَ نُوحٌ أَنَّ ٱلْمِيَاهَ قَدْ قَلَّتْ عَنِ ٱلْأَرْضِ.
فَرَجَعَتْ إِلَيْهِ عِنْدَ الْمَسَاءِ تَحْمِلُ فِي مِنْقَارِهَا وَرَقَةَ زَيْتُونٍ خَضْرَاءَ، فَأَدْرَكَ نُوحٌ أَنَّ الْمِيَاهَ قَدْ تَنَاقَصَتْ عَنِ الأَرْضِ.

সন্ধ্যাবেলায় যখন সেই পায়রাটি তাঁর কাছে ফিরে এল, তখন সেটির চঞ্চুতে ছিল জলপাই গাছের একটি টাটকা পাতা! তখন নোহ জানতে পারলেন যে পৃথিবী থেকে জল সরে গিয়েছে।

Mais elle vint à lui vers le soir, portant à son bec un rameau d’olivier ayant des feuilles vertes. Noé comprit donc que les eaux n’étaient plus sur la face de la terre.
La colombe revint à lui sur le soir; et voici, une feuille d’olivier arrachée était dans son bec. Noé connut ainsi que les eaux avaient diminué sur la terre.

Et sur le soir la colombe revint près de lui, tenant en son bec un brin de branche et une feuille d'olivier. Noé reconnut alors que l'eau s'était retirée de la terre.

Und die Taube kam herein zu ihm um die Abendzeit, und siehe, sie hatte ein abgepflücktes Blatt vom Ölbaum in ihrem Munde. Und Noach wußte, daß die Wasser auf der Erde leichter geworden.

કબૂતર ફરીને સાંજે તેની પાસે પાછું આવ્યું. તેની ચાંચમાં જૈતૂનવૃક્ષનું એક પાંદડું હતું. તેથી નૂહને સમજાયું કે પૃથ્વી પરથી પાણી ઓસર્યાં છે.

ותבא אליו היונה לעת ערב והנה עלה זית טרף בפיה וידע נח כי קלו המים מעל הארץ׃
וַתָּבֹא אֵלָיו הַיּוֹנָה לְעֵת עֶרֶב וְהִנֵּה עֲלֵה־זַיִת טָרָף בְּפִיהָ וַיֵּדַע נֹחַ כִּי־קַלּוּ הַמַּיִם מֵעַל הָאָֽרֶץ׃
וַתָּבֹ֨א אֵלָ֤יו הַיּוֹנָה֙ לְעֵ֣ת עֶ֔רֶב וְהִנֵּ֥ה עֲלֵה־זַ֖יִת טָרָ֣ף בְּפִ֑יהָ וַיֵּ֣דַע נֹ֔חַ כִּי־קַ֥לּוּ הַמַּ֖יִם מֵעַ֥ל הָאָֽרֶץ׃
और कबूतरी साँझ के समय उसके पास आ गई, तो क्या देखा कि उसकी चोंच में जैतून का एक नया पत्ता है; इससे नूह ने जान लिया, कि जल पृथ्वी पर घट गया है।
कबूतर अपनी चोंच में जैतून का एक कोमल पत्ता लेकर जहाज़ में लौट आया. यह देखकर नोहा समझ गये कि पृथ्वी पर से पानी कम हो गया है.

Pada petang hari burung itu kembali kepadanya membawa sehelai daun zaitun yang segar pada paruhnya. Sekarang Nuh tahu bahwa air telah surut.
menjelang waktu senja pulanglah burung merpati itu mendapatkan Nuh, dan pada paruhnya dibawanya sehelai daun zaitun yang segar. Dari situlah diketahui Nuh, bahwa air itu telah berkurang dari atas bumi.
Menjelang malam, burung merpati itu kembali kepada Nuh dengan membawa sehelai daun zaitun segar di paruhnya. Dari situlah Nuh tahu bahwa air benar-benar sudah surut.

鴿暮におよびて彼に還れり視よ其口に橄欖の新葉ありき是に於てノア地より水の減少しをしれり
はとは夕方になって彼のもとに帰ってきた。見ると、そのくちばしには、オリブの若葉があった。ノアは地から水がひいたのを知った。
