< 1 Wakoritho 11 >
1 Munivingililaghe une, ndavule une vule nikum'bingilila u Kilisite.
Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.
2 Lino nikuvapala ulwakuva vule mukung'umbuka mu agha ghoni. Nikuvapaala ulwakuuva mughakolile amapokeo ndavule aletile kulyumue.
Now I praise you, brothers, because you remember me in everything and hold fast to the teachings that have been handed down, just as I delivered them to you.
3 Looli nilonda mukagule kuuti u Kilisite ghwe muutu ghwa mughosi ghweni, ghwoope umughosi ghwe muutu ghwa mumama, nakuuti u Nguluve ghwe muutu ghwa Kilisite.
But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
4 Umughosi ghweni juno ikufunya nambe juno ihumia uvuvili iva afwalile ikofili ku muutu ikughupela isoni umutu ghwa mwene.
Every man who prays or prophesies with his head veiled disgraces his head,
5 Looli umumama ghweni juno ikufunya nambe ihumia uvuvivi umuutu ghwa mwene angabuhile kufwala ikofili mhu muutu ikughupela isoni umuunhu ghwa mwene. Ulwakuva ghuling'ine kange heene abikilue.
and every woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled disgraces her head, for it is one and the same as having her head shaved.
6 Nave heene umumama na kwe kuuti na ifunika umuutu ghwa mwene, panaketue ilinyele lya mwene live lifupi. Ulwakuva nave se soni umu mama kuketa ilinyele lya mwene nambe kuketua, looli afunike umuutu ghwa mwene.
If a woman will not veil herself, she should cut off her hair. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to cut off her hair or shave her head, she should wear a veil.
7 Looli nalunoghile umughosi kufunika umutu ghwa mwene, ulwakuva kye kihwani nu vwitike vwa Nguluve. looli umumama vwe vwitiki vwa mughosi.
For a man ought not to have his head veiled, since he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man.
8 Ulwakuva umughosi nahumilanile nu mumama. Looli umumama alyahumile nu mughosi.
For man did not come from woman, but woman from man.
9 Nambe mughosi nakavumbilue vwimila vwa mumama. Looli umumama alyavumbilue nu mughosi.
Neither was man created for the sake of woman, but woman for the sake of man.
10 Pa uluo umumama anoghile kuva ni ndaghilo ija vutavulilua pa muutu ghwa mwene, vwimila vwa nyamola
That is why a woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.
11 Pa uluo, mwa Mutwa, umumama napwale mwene nambe umughosi, nambe umumama.
Nevertheless, in the Lord neither is man independent of woman nor woman independent of man.
12 Ulwakuva ndavule vulevule umumama alya humile kwa mughosi, vulevule alyahumile kwa mumama. Kange ifinu fyoni fihuma kwa Nguluve.
For just as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman, but all things come from God.
13 Highagha jumue: Vuli! sa kyang'haani umu mama ansume u Nguluve umuutu ghwa mwene ghuve pavuvalafu?
Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head unveiled?
14 Vuli kange inyiho seene nasikuvavulanisia kuuti umughosi angave nilinyele ilitali soonibkwa mwene.
Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair it is a disgrace to him,
15 Vuli ulwigho nalukuvavulanisia kuuti umumama avisaghe nhi linyele ilitali vwe vwimila vwitiki kwa mwene? Ulwakuva apelilue ilinyele lila live litali ndavule umwene ghwa mwene.
but if a woman has long hair it is her glory? For her long hair is given for a covering.
16 Looli umuunhu ghweni ilonda kukaning'ana vwimila vwa iili, usue natulinilinge nambe ing'ong'ano sa Nguluve.
But if anyone is inclined to be contentious, we have no such custom, and neither do the churches of God.
17 Mu masio ghano ghavingilile, une nanikuva paala. Ulwakuva panomukong'ana, nakwekuuti lyambulilo looli luvumbulilo.
Now in giving the following instructions, I do not praise you, since you come together not for the better, but for the worse.
18 Ulwavutengulilo, nipulika kuuti pano mukong'ana mulukong'ano, kwefile ifighavo palyumue, na pakighavo nikwitika.
For in the first place, I hear that there are divisions among you when you come together as a church, and in some part I believe it.
19 Ulwakuuva lunoghile peluve misuguano mulyumue, ulwakuuti vala vano vavitikisie vikagulika kulyumue.
For there must be factions among you to show which of you are approved.
20 Ulwakuuva mutang'ana, kino mulia nakwekuuti kyakulia kya Mutwa.
Now when you come together, it is not to eat the Lord's supper.
21 Pano mulia, umuunhu ghweni ilisagha ikyakulia kya mwene jujuo pano avange navalile. Kange uju ghwope alininjala, nuju aghalile.
For when you eat, some of you eat your own supper without waiting for others. So one person is hungry while another gets drunk.
22 Vuli nakwesile inyumba isakulia na kunywila? Vuli musyojuile ulukongano lwa Nguluve nakuvapela isoni vano navalinikinhu? Nijova kiki kulyumue? Nivapaale? Nanikuvapala ku iili!
What! Do you not have houses for eating and drinking? Or do you despise the church of God and put to shame those who do not have anything? What should I say to you? Should I praise you for this? I do not praise you.
23 Ulwakuva nikupile kuhuma kwa Mitwa kila kiino nivapelile umue kwa Mutwa Yesu, ikilo jila jino ye alekilue, akatolile un'kate.
For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread,
24 Ye ahongisie, alyadenyile nakujova, “Ughu ghwe m'bili ghwango ghuno ghuli vwimila ghwinu. Muvombaghe ndiiki kukung'umbuka une.”
and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “Take and eat this bread; this is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
25 Vulevule akatoola ikikombe ye alile, na kujova, “Ikikombe iki lwe lufingo ulupia mu danda jango. Muvombaghe ndiiki kye kiinga kiila pano munyua, kukung'umbuka une.”
In the same way, he also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
26 Unsiki ghweni pano mulia un'kate ughu na kukinywela ikikombe, mupalisia uvufue vwa Mutwa m'paka pano ilikwisa.
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
27 Pa uluo, umuunhu ghweni juno ilia un'kate nambe juno inywila ikikombe ikio ikya Mutwa nainoghela, iva ajikavile ihatia ja m'bili nibdanda ja Mutwa.
So then, whoever eats this bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in a manner unworthy of the Lord will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 Umuunhu ajiposiaghe jujuo, kange alisaghe um'bili nakunyua ikikombe ikio.
So a person should examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.
29 Ulwakuva juno ilia na kunyua nambe kusanganula um'bili, ilia na kunyua uvuhighi vwa mwene jujuo.
For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment on himself, since he shows no regard for the body of the Lord.
30 Vwimila vwa ulu avaanhu viinga mulyumue ve vatamu kange muvamo mulumue vafwile.
That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a considerable number have fallen asleep.
31 Looli tulolaghe jusue natuhighua.
If we would evaluate ourselves, we would not be judged.
32 Looli pano tuhighua nu Mutwa, tugomokesevua, ulwakuuti na tungahighuaghe palikimo ni iisi.
But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.
33 Pa uluo, vakuulu nava mwanilumbu vango, pano mutang'ana mulisaghe, mughulanaghe.
So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34 Umuunhu angave nhinjala, alisaghe ku nyumba ja mwene, ulwakuuti pano mjtang'ana palikimo namungahighanaghe. vwimila vwa agha aghange ghano mulembile, nikuvavula pano niliva nikwisa.
If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that when you come together it will not result in condemnation. I will set the remaining matters in order when I come.
