Thánh Thi 18
1 Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, Ngài là năng lực tôi, tôi yêu mến Ngài.
For the chief musician. A psalm of David, the servant of Yahweh, when he sang to Yahweh the words of this song on the day that Yahweh rescued him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He sang: I love you, Yahweh, my strength.
2 Ðức Giê-hô-va là hòn đá tôi, đồn lũy tôi, Ðấng giải cứu tôi; Ðức Chúa Trời là hòn đá tôi, nơi Ngài tôi sẽ nương náu mình; Ngài cũng là cái khiên tôi, sừng cứu rỗi tôi, và là nơi náu ẩn cao của tôi.
Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, the one who brings me to safety; he is my God, my rock; I take refuge in him. He is my shield, the horn of my salvation, and my stronghold.
3 Ðức Giê-hô-va đáng được ngợi khen; tôi sẽ kêu cầu Ngài, Aét sẽ được giải cứu khỏi các kẻ thù nghịch tôi.
I will call on Yahweh who is worthy to be praised, and I will be saved from my enemies.
4 Các dây sự chết đã vương vấn tôi, Lụt gian ác chảy cuộn làm cho tôi sợ hãi.
The cords of death surrounded me, and the rushing waters of worthlessness overwhelmed me.
The cords of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death trapped me. (Sheol h7585)
6 Trong cơn gian truân tôi cầu khẩn Ðức Giê-hô-va, Tôi kêu cầu Ðức Chúa Trời tôi: Tại đền Ngài, Ngài nghe tiếng tôi, Và tiếng kêu cầu của tôi thấu đến tai Ngài.
In my distress I called to Yahweh; I called for help to my God. He heard my voice from his temple; my call for help went into his presence; it went into his ears.
7 Bấy giờ đất động và rung, Nền các núi cũng lay chuyển Và rúng động, vì Ngài nổi giận.
Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of the mountains also trembled and were shaken because God was angry.
8 Khói bay ra từ lỗ mũi Ngài, Ngọn lửa hực phát ra từ miệng Ngài, Làm cho than cháy đỏ.
Smoke went up from out of his nostrils, and blazing fire came out of his mouth. Coals were ignited by it.
9 Ngài làm nghiêng lệch các từng trời, và ngự xuống; Dưới chơn Ngài có vùng đen kịt.
He opened the heavens and came down, and thick darkness was under his feet.
10 Ngài cỡi chê-ru-bin và bay, Ngài liệng trên cánh của gió.
He rode on a cherub and flew; he glided on the wings of the wind.
11 Ngài nhờ sự tối tăm làm nơi ẩn núp mình, Dùng các vùng nước tối đen và mây mịt mịt của trời, Mà bủa xung quanh mình Ngài dường như một cái trại.
He made darkness a tent around him, heavy rainclouds in the skies.
12 Từ sự rực rỡ ở trước mặt Ngài, ngang qua các mây mịt mịt của Ngài, Có phát ra mưa đá và than hực lửa.
Hailstones and coals of fire fell from the lightning before him.
13 Ðức Giê-hô-va sấm sét trên các từng trời, Ðấng Chí cao làm cho vang rân tiếng của Ngài, Có mưa đá và than hực lửa.
Yahweh thundered in the heavens! The voice of the Most High shouted.
14 Ngài bắn tên, làm cho tản lạc quân thù nghịch tôi, Phát chớp nhoáng nhiều, khiến chúng nó lạc đường.
He shot his arrows and scattered his enemies; many lightning bolts dispersed them.
15 Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, bởi lời hăm he của Ngài, Bởi gió xịt ra khỏi lỗ mũi Ngài, Ðáy biển bèn lộ ra, Và các nền thế gian bị bày tỏ.
Then the water channels appeared; the foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, Yahweh, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.
16 Từ Trên cao Ngài giơ tay ra nắm tôi, Rút tôi ra khỏi nước sâu.
He reached down from above; he took hold of me! He pulled me out of the surging water.
17 Ngài giải cứu tôi khỏi kẻ thù nghịch có sức lực, Khỏi kẻ ghét tôi, vì chúng nó mạnh hơn tôi.
He rescued me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too strong for me.
18 Trong ngày gian truân chúng nó xông vào tôi; Nhưng Ðức Giê-hô-va nâng đỡ tôi.
They came against me on the day of my distress but Yahweh was my support!
19 Ngài đem tôi ra nơi rộng rãi, Giải cứu tôi, vì Ngài ưa thích tôi.
He set me free in a wide open place; he saved me because he was pleased with me.
20 Ðức Giê-hô-va đã thưởng tôi tùy sự công bình tôi, Báo tôi theo sự thanh sạch của tay tôi.
Yahweh has rewarded me because of my righteousness; he has restored me because my hands were clean.
21 Vì tôi đã giữ theo các đường lối Ðức Giê-hô-va, Chẳng có làm ác xây bỏ Ðức Chúa Trời tôi.
For I have kept the ways of Yahweh and have not wickedly turned away from my God.
22 Vì các mạng lịnh Ngài đều ở trước mặt tôi, Còn luật lệ Ngài, tôi nào bỏ đâu.
For all his righteous decrees have been before me; as for his statutes, I have not turned away from them.
23 Tôi cũng ở trọn vẹn với Ngài, Giữ lấy mình khỏi ác.
I have also been innocent before him, and I have kept myself from sin.
24 Vì vậy, Ðức Giê-hô-va đã báo tôi tùy sự công bình tôi, Thưởng tôi theo sự thánh sạch của tay tôi trước mặt Ngài.
Therefore Yahweh has restored me because of my righteousness, because my hands were clean before his eyes.
25 Kẻ thương xót, Chúa sẽ thương xót lại; Ðối cùng kẻ trọn vẹn, Chúa sẽ tỏ mình trọn vẹn lại;
To anyone who is faithful, you show yourself to be faithful; to a man who is blameless, you show yourself to be blameless.
26 Ðối cùng kẻ thanh sạch, Chúa sẽ tỏ mình thanh sạch lại; Còn đối cùng kẻ trái nghịch, Chúa sẽ tỏ mình nhặt nhiệm lại.
To anyone who is pure, you show yourself pure; but you are clever toward anyone who is twisted.
27 Vì Chúa cứu dân bị khốn khổ; Nhưng sụp mắt kẻ tự cao xuống.
For you save afflicted people, but you bring down those with proud, uplifted eyes!
28 Chúa thắp ngọn đèn tôi: Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời tôi, soi sáng nơi sự tối tăm tôi.
For you give light to my lamp; Yahweh my God lights up my darkness.
29 Nhờ Ngài tôi sẽ xông ngang qua đạo binh, Cậy Ðức Chúa Trời tôi, tôi sẽ vượt khỏi tường thành.
For by you I can run over a barricade; by my God I can leap over a wall.
30 Còn Ðức Chúa Trời, các đường lối Ngài là trọn vẹn; Lời của Ðức Giê-hô-va đã được luyện cho sạch; Ngài là cái khiên cho những kẻ nào nương náu mình nơi Ngài.
As for God—his way is perfect! The word of Yahweh is pure! He is a shield to everyone who takes refuge in him.
31 Trừ Ðức Giê-hô-va, ai là Ðức Chúa Trời? Ngoại Ðức Chúa Trời chúng tôi, ai là hòn đá lớn?
For who is God except Yahweh? Who is a rock except our God?
32 Ðức Chúa Trời thắt lưng tôi bằng năng lực, Và ban bằng đường tôi.
It is God who puts strength on me like a belt, who places the blameless person on his path.
33 Ngài làm cho chơn tôi lẹ như chơn con nai cái, Và để tôi đứng trên các nơi cao của tôi.
He makes my feet swift like a deer and places me on the heights!
34 Ngài tập tay tôi đánh giặc, Ðến đỗi cánh tay tôi giương nổi cung đồng.
He trains my hands for war and my arms to bend a bow of bronze.
35 Chúa cũng đã ban cho tôi sự cứu rỗi làm khiên; Tay hữu Chúa nâng đỡ tôi, Và sự hiền từ Chúa đã làm tôi nên sang trọng.
You have given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand has supported me, and your favor has made me great.
36 Chúa mở rộng đường dưới bước tôi, Chơn tôi không xiêu tó.
You have made a wide place for my feet beneath me so that my feet have not slipped.
37 Tôi rượt đuổi kẻ thù nghịch tôi, và theo kịp; Chỉ trở về sau khi đã tận diệt chúng nó.
I pursued my enemies and caught them; I did not turn back until they were destroyed.
38 Tôi đâm lủng chúng nó, đến nỗi chúng nó không thế dậy lại được; Chúng nó sa ngã dưới chơn tôi.
I smashed them so that they were unable to rise; they have fallen under my feet.
39 Vì Chúa đã thắt lưng tôi bằng sức lực để chiến, Khiến kẻ dấy nghịch cùng tôi xếp rệp dưới tôi.
For you put strength on me like a belt for battle; you put under me those who rise up against me.
40 Chúa cũng khiến kẻ thù nghịch xây lưng cùng tôi; Còn những kẻ ghét tôi, tôi đã diệt chúng nó rồi.
You gave me the back of my enemies' necks; I annihilated those who hated me.
41 Chúng nó kêu, nhưng chẳng có ai cứu cho; Chúng nó kêu cầu Ðức Giê-hô-va, song Ngài không đáp lại.
They called for help, but no one saved them; they called out to Yahweh, but he did not answer them.
42 Bấy giờ tôi đánh nát chúng nó ra nhỏ như bụi bị gió thổi đi; Tôi ném chúng nó ra như bùn ngoài đường.
I beat them into fine pieces like dust before the wind; I threw them out like mud in the streets.
43 Chúa đã cứu tôi khỏi sự tranh giành của dân sự; Lập tôi làm đầu các nước; Một dân tộc tôi không quen biết sẽ hầu việc tôi.
You rescued me from the disputes of people. You have made me the head over nations. People that I have not known serve me.
44 Vừa khi nghe nói về tôi; chúng nó sẽ phục tôi; Các người ngoại bang sẽ giả bộ vâng theo tôi.
As soon as they heard of me, they obeyed me; foreigners were forced to bow to me.
45 Các người ngoại bang sẽ tàn mạt Ði ra khỏi chỗ ẩn mình cách run sợ.
The foreigners came trembling out of their strongholds.
46 Ðức Giê-hô-va hằng sống; đáng ngợi khen hòn đá tôi! Nguyện Ðức Chúa Trời về sự cứu rỗi tôi được tôn cao!
Yahweh lives; may my rock be praised. May the God of my salvation be exalted.
47 Tức là Ðức Chúa Trời báo oán cho tôi, Khiến các dân suy phục tôi.
He is the God who executes vengeance for me, who subdues the nations under me.
48 Ngài giải cứu tôi khỏi kẻ thù nghịch tôi; Thật Chúa nâng tôi lên cao hơn kẻ dấy nghịch cùng tôi. Và cứu tôi khỏi người hung bạo.
I am set free from my enemies! Indeed, you lifted me above the ones who rose against me! You rescued me from violent men.
49 Vì vậy, hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, tôi sẽ ngợi khen Ngài giữa các dân, Và ca tụng danh của Ngài.
Therefore I will give thanks to you, Yahweh, among the nations; I will sing praises to your name!
50 Ðức Giê-hô-va ban cho vua Ngài sự giải cứu lớn lao, Và làm ơn cho đấng chịu xức dầu của Ngài, Tức là cho Ða-vít, và cho dòng dõi người, đến đời đời.
God gives great victory to his king, and he shows his covenant loyalty to his anointed one, to David and to his descendants forever.
