< Pǝnd-nǝsiⱨǝtlǝr 26 >
1 Yazda ⱪar yeƣix, Orma waⱪtida yamƣur yeƣix ⱪamlaxmiƣandǝk, Izzǝt-ⱨɵrmǝt ǝhmǝⱪⱪǝ layiⱪ ǝmǝstur.
As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.
2 Lǝylǝp uqup yürgǝn ⱪuqⱪaqtǝk, Uqⱪan ⱪarliƣaq yǝrgǝ ⱪonmiƣandǝk, Sǝwǝbsiz ⱪarƣix kixigǝ ziyan kǝltürǝlmǝs.
As the sparrow in her wandering, as the swallow in her flying, so the curse that is causeless lighteth not.
3 Atⱪa ⱪamqa, exǝkkǝ nohta lazim bolƣinidǝk, Əhmǝⱪning dümbisigǝ tayaⱪ layiⱪtur.
A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the back of fools.
4 Əhmǝⱪning ǝhmiⱪanǝ gepi boyiqǝ uningƣa jawab bǝrmigin, Jawab bǝrsǝng ɵzüng uningƣa ohxap ⱪelixing mumkin.
Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
5 Əhmǝⱪning ǝhmiⱪanǝ gepi boyiqǝ uningƣa jawab bǝrgin, Jawab bǝrmisǝng u ɵzining ǝhmǝⱪliⱪini ǝⱪilliⱪ dǝp qaƣlar.
Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.
6 Ɵz putini kesiwǝtkǝndǝk, Ɵz bexiƣa zulmǝt tiligǝndǝk, Əhmǝⱪtin hǝwǝr yollaxmu xundaⱪ bir ixtur.
He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off [his own] feet, [and] drinketh in damage.
7 Tokurning karƣa kǝlmigǝn putliridǝk, Əhmǝⱪning aƣziƣa selinƣan pǝnd-nǝsiⱨǝtmu bikar bolur.
The legs of the lame hang loose: so is a parable in the mouth of fools.
8 Salƣiƣa taxni baƣlap atⱪandǝk, Əhmǝⱪⱪǝ ⱨɵrmǝt bildürüxmu ǝhmiⱪanǝ ixtur.
As a bag of gems in a heap of stones, so is he that giveth honour to a fool.
9 Əhmǝⱪning aƣziƣa selinƣan pǝnd-nǝsiⱨǝt, Mǝstning ⱪoliƣa sanjilƣan tikǝndǝktur.
[As] a thorn that goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the month of fools.
10 Ɵz yeⱪinlirini ⱪarisiƣa zǝhimlǝndürgǝn oⱪyaqidǝk, Əhmǝⱪni yaki udul kǝlgǝn adǝmni yallap ixlǝtkǝn hojayinmu ohxaxla zǝhimlǝndürgüqidur.
[As] an archer that woundeth all, so is he that hireth the fool and he that hireth them that pass by.
11 It aylinip kelip ɵz ⱪusuⱪini yaliƣandǝk, Əhmǝⱪ ǝhmǝⱪliⱪini ⱪaytilar.
As a dog that returneth to his vomit, [so is] a fool that repeateth his folly.
12 Ɵzini dana qaƣlap mǝmnun bolƣan kixini kɵrdüngmu? Uningƣa ümid baƣlimaⱪtin ǝhmǝⱪⱪǝ ümid baƣlimaⱪ ǝwzǝldur.
Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
13 Ⱨurun adǝm: — «Taxⱪirida dǝⱨxǝtlik bir xir turidu, Koqida bir xir yüridu!» — dǝp [ɵydin qiⱪmas].
The sluggard saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.
14 Ɵz mujuⱪida eqilip-yepilip turƣan ixikkǝ ohxax, Ⱨurun kariwatta yetip u yaⱪ-bu yaⱪⱪa ɵrülmǝktǝ.
[As] the door turneth upon its hinges, so doth the sluggard upon his bed.
15 Ⱨurun ⱪolini sunup ⱪaqiƣa tiⱪⱪini bilǝn, Ƣizani aƣziƣa selixtinmu erinǝr.
The sluggard burieth his hand in the dish; it wearieth him to bring it again to his mouth.
16 Ⱨurun ɵzini pǝm bilǝn jawab bǝrgüqi yǝttǝ kixidinmu dana sanar.
The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.
17 Koqida keliwetip, ɵzigǝ munasiwǝtsiz majiraƣa arilaxⱪan kixi, Itning ⱪuliⱪini tutup sozƣanƣa ohxax hǝtǝrgǝ duqar bolar.
He that passeth by, [and] vexeth himself with strife belonging not to him, is [like] one that taketh a dog by the ears.
18 Ɵz yeⱪinlirini aldap «Pǝⱪǝt qaⱪqaⱪ ⱪilip ⱪoydum!» dǝydiƣan kixi, Otⱪaxlarni, oⱪlarni, ⱨǝrhil ǝjǝllik ⱪorallarni atⱪan tǝlwigǝ ohxaydu.
As a madman who casteth firebrands, arrows, and death;
So is the man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am not I in sport?
20 Otun bolmisa ot ɵqǝr; Ƣǝywǝt bolmisa, jedǝl besilar.
For lack of wood the fire goeth out: and where there is no whisperer, contention ceaseth.
21 Qoƣlar üstigǝ qaqⱪan kɵmürdǝk, Ot üstigǝ ⱪoyƣan otundǝk, jedǝlqi jedǝlni ulƣaytar.
[As] coals are to hot embers, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to inflame strife.
22 Ƣǝywǝthorning sɵzliri ⱨǝrhil nazunemǝtlǝrdǝk, Kixining ⱪǝlbigǝ qongⱪur singdürülǝr.
The words of a whisperer are as dainty morsels, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
23 Yalⱪunluⱪ lǝwlǝr rǝzil kɵngüllǝrgǝ ⱪoxulƣanda, Sapal ⱪaqiƣa kümüx ⱨǝl bǝrgǝngǝ ohxaxtur.
Fervent lips and a wicked heart are [like] an earthen vessel overlaid with silver dross.
24 Adawǝt saⱪlaydiƣan adǝm ɵqini gǝpliri bilǝn yapsimu, Kɵnglidǝ ⱪat-ⱪat suyiⱪǝst saⱪlaydu.
He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, but he layeth up deceit within him:
25 Uning sɵzi qirayliⱪ bolsimu, ixinip kǝtmigin; Ⱪǝlbidǝ yǝttǝ ⱪat iplasliⱪ bardur.
When he speaketh fair, believe him not; for there are seven abominations in his heart:
26 U ɵqmǝnlikini qirayliⱪ gǝp bilǝn yapsimu, Lekin rǝzilliki jamaǝtning aldida axkarilinar.
Though [his] hatred cover itself with guile, his wickedness shall be openly shewed before the congregation.
27 Kixigǝ ora koliƣan ɵzi qüxǝr; Taxni domilatⱪan kixini tax dumilap ⱪaytip kelip uni yanjar.
Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it shall return upon him.
28 Sahta til ɵzi ziyankǝxlik ⱪilƣan kixilǝrgǝ nǝprǝtlinǝr; Huxamǝt ⱪilƣuqi eƣiz adǝmni ⱨalakǝtkǝ ittirǝr.
A lying tongue hateth those whom it hath wounded; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.
