< Yaqup 3 >
1 Qérindashlirim, aranglardin köp kishi telim bergüchi boliwalmanglar! Chünki silerge melumki, biz [telim bergüchiler] bashqilardin téximu qattiq soraqqa tartilimiz.
Not, many teachers, become ye, my brethren, knowing that, a severer sentence, shall ye receive;
2 Chünki hemmimiz köp ishlarda xataliship putlishimiz. [Halbuki], eger birsi tilda xatalashmisa, u kamaletke yetken, pütkül ténini tizginliyeligen adem bolidu.
For, oft, are we stumbling, one and all: If anyone, in word, doth not stumble, the same, is a mature man, able to curb even the whole body.
3 Mana, biz atlarni özimizge béqindurush üchün aghzigha yügen salimiz; buning bilen pütkül tenlirini [xalighan terepke] buriyalaymiz.
Now, if, the horses bits, into their mouths, we thrust, to the end they may be yielding to us, their whole body also, do we turn about.
4 Mana, kémilergimu qaranglar; shunchilik yoghan bolsimu, yene kélip dehshetlik shamallar teripidin urulup heydilidighan bolsimu, lékin rolchi qeyerge ularni heydey dése, u kichikkine bir rol arqiliq uni xalighan terepke buraydu.
Lo! the ships also, large as they are, and, by rough winds, driven along, are turned about by a very small helm, whithersoever the impulse of the steersman inclineth.
5 Shuninggha oxshash, gerche til [ténimizning] kichik bir ezasi bolsimu, lékin tolimu yoghan sözleydu. Kichikkine bir ot uchqunining chong orman’gha ot tutashturalaydighanliqini oylap béqinglar!
So, also, the tongue, is, a little member, and yet, of great things, maketh boast. Lo! how small a fire, kindleth, how great a forest;
6 Til — derweqe bir ottur; u ezalirimiz arisidin orun élip qebihlikke tolghan bir alem bolidu. U pütkül tenni bulghighuchidur; u dozax otidin tutashturulup, pütkül tebietning chaqigha ot tutashturidu! (Geenna )
And, the tongue, is a fire, —[as], the world of unrighteousness, the tongue, becometh fixed among our members, that which defileth the whole body and setteth on fire the wheel of our natural life, and is set on fire, by gehenna! (Geenna )
7 Chünki hertürlük haywanlar hem uchar-qanatlar, ömiligüchi haywanlar hem déngizdiki mexluqlar insaniyet teripidin köndürülmekte hemde köndürülgenidi.
For, every nature—both of wild beasts and of birds, both of reptiles and of things in the sea, is to be tamed, and hath been tamed, by the human nature;
8 Emma tilni héchkim köndürelmeydu; u tinimsiz rezil bir nerse bolup, jan’gha zamin bolidighan zeherge tolghandur.
But, the tongue, none of mankind can, tame, —A restless mischief! Full of deadly poison
9 Biz tilimiz bilen Perwerdigar Atimizgha shanu-teshekkür qayturimiz, we yene uning bilen Xudaning obrazida yaritilghan insanlarni qarghaymiz.
Therewith, are we blessing our Lord and Father, and, therewith, we are cursing the men who, after the likeness of God, have been brought into being!
10 Démek, oxshash bir éghizdin hem teshekkür-mubarek hem lenet-qarghash chiqidu. I qérindashlirim, bundaq bolmasliqi kérek!
Out of the same mouth, come forth blessing and cursing! Not meet, my brethren, for, these things, thus, to be coming to pass!
11 Bir bulaq oxshash bir közdin birla waqitta tatliq hem qirtaq su chiqiramdu?
Doth, the fountain, out of the same opening, teem forth the sweet and the bitter?
12 I qérindashlirim, enjür derixi zeytunning méwisini bermeydu, yaki üzüm téli enjürning méwisini bérelemdu? Hem tuzluq [bulaq] tatliq sunimu chiqiralmaydu.
Is it possible, my brethren, for, a fig-tree, to produce, olives, or, a vine, figs? Neither can, salt, water yield, sweet.
13 Aranglarda kim dana we pemlik? Peziletlik yürüsh-turushidin u danaliqqa xas bolghan mömin-kemterlik bilen emellirini körsetsun!
Who is wise and well-instructed among you? Let him show, out of his comely behaviour, his works, in meekness of wisdom.
14 Lékin eger qelbinglarda achchiq hesetxorluq we jédel-majira bolsa, emdi yalghan sözler bilen heqiqetni yoqqa chiqarmanglar, maxtanmanglar.
But, if, bitter jealousy, ye have, and rivalry, in your hearts; be not boasting and showing yourselves false against the truth!
15 Bundaq «danaliq» ershtin emes, belki dunyagha, insan tebiiyitige xas bolup, jin-sheytandin kelgendur.
This wisdom is not one, from above, coming down, but is earthly, born of the soul, demoniacal!
16 Chünki hesetxorluq we jédel-majira bolghanla yerde qalaymiqanchiliq we herxil rezillikler bolidu.
For, where jealousy and rivalry are, there, are anarchy and every ignoble deed.
17 Lékin ershtin kelgen danaliq bolsa, u aldi bilen paktur, u yene tinchliqperwer, xush péil, bashqilarning pikrige quliqi ochuq, rehimdil bolup, yaxshi méwiler bilen tolghan, uningda terepbazliq yaki saxtipezlik yoqtur.
But, the wisdom from above, is—first pure, then peaceable, reasonable, easy to be entreated, fraught with mercy and good fruits, without partiality, without hypocrisy.
18 Heqqaniyliq uruqliri tinchliqperwerler arisida chéchilip, tinchliq ichide méwe béridu.
And, in harvest of righteousness, with peace, is sown by them that make peace.
