ज़बूर 81
1 ख़ुदा के सामने जो हमारी ताक़त है, बुलन्द आवाज़ से गाओ; या'क़ूब के ख़ुदा के सामने ख़ुशी का नारा मारो!
To the chief Musician upon Gittith, [A Psalm] of Asaph. Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.
2 नग़मा छेड़ो, और दफ़ लाओ और दिलनवाज़ सितार और बरबत।
Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
3 नए चाँद और पूरे चाँद के वक़्त, हमारी 'ईद के दिन नरसिंगा फूँको।
Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
4 क्यूँकि यह इस्राईल के लिए क़ानून, और या'क़ूब के ख़ुदा का हुक्म है।
For this [was] a statute for Israel, [and] a law of the God of Jacob.
5 इसको उसने यूसुफ़ में शहादत ठहराया, जब वह मुल्क — ए — मिस्र के ख़िलाफ़ निकला। मैंने उसका कलाम सुना, जिसको मैं जानता न था
This he ordained in Joseph [for] a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: [where] I heard a language [that] I understood not.
6 'मैंने उसके कंधे पर से बोझ उतार दिया; उसके हाथ टोकरी ढोने से छूट गए।
I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.
7 तूने मुसीबत में पुकारा और मैंने तुझे छुड़ाया; मैंने राद के पर्दे में से तुझे जवाब दिया; मैंने तुझे मरीबा के चश्मे पर आज़माया। (सिलाह)
Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. (Selah)
8 ऐ मेरे लोगो, सुनो, मैं तुम को होशियार करता हूँ! ऐ इस्राईल, काश के तू मेरी सुनता!
Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
9 तेरे बीच कोई गै़र ख़ुदावन्द का मा'बूद न हो; और तू किसी गै़रख़ुदावन्द के मा'बूद को सिज्दा न करना
There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
10 ख़ुदावन्द तेरा ख़ुदा मैं हूँ, जो तुझे मुल्क — ए — मिस्र से निकाल लाया। तू अपना मुँह खू़ब खोल और मैं उसे भर दूँगा।
I [am] the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11 “लेकिन मेरे लोगों ने मेरी बात न सुनी, और इस्राईल मुझ से रज़ामंद न हुआ।
But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
12 तब मैंने उनको उनके दिल की हट पर छोड़ दिया, ताकि वह अपने ही मश्वरों पर चलें।
So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: [and] they walked in their own counsels.
13 काश कि मेरे लोग मेरी सुनते, और इस्राईल मेरी राहों पर चलता!
Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, [and] Israel had walked in my ways!
14 मैं जल्द उनके दुश्मनों को मग़लूब कर देता, और उनके मुखालिफ़ों पर अपना हाथ चलाता।
I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
15 ख़ुदावन्द से 'अदावत रखने वाले उसके ताबे हो जाते, और इनका ज़माना हमेशा तक बना रहता।
The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.
16 वह इनको अच्छे से अच्छा गेहूँ खिलाता और मैं तुझे चट्टान में के शहद से शेर करता।”
He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
