ज़बूर 119
1 आलेफ मुबारक हैं वह जो कामिल रफ़्तार है, जो ख़ुदा की शरी'अत पर 'अमल करते हैं!
[ALEPH.] How happy the men of blameless life, who walk in the law of Yahweh.
2 मुबारक हैं वह जो उसकी शहादतों को मानते हैं, और पूरे दिल से उसके तालिब हैं!
How happy they who observe his testimonies, with a whole heart, they seek him.
3 उन से नारास्ती नहीं होती, वह उसकी राहों पर चलते हैं।
Yea, they have not wrought perversity, In his ways, have they walked.
4 तूने अपने क़वानीन दिए हैं, ताकि हम दिल लगा कर उनकी मानें।
Thou, hast commanded thy precepts, that they should be diligently kept.
5 काश कि तेरे क़ानून मानने के लिए, मेरी चाल चलन दुरुस्त हो जाएँ!
Oh would that my ways might be settled! that I might keep thy statutes.
6 जब मैं तेरे सब अहकाम का लिहाज़ रख्खूँगा, तो शर्मिन्दा न हूँगा।
Then, shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
7 जब मैं तेरी सदाक़त के अहकाम सीख लूँगा, तो सच्चे दिल से तेरा शुक्र अदा करूँगा।
I will thank thee with uprightness of heart, when I have learned thy righteous regulations.
8 मैं तेरे क़ानून मानूँगा; मुझे बिल्कुल छोड़ न दे! बेथ
Thy statutes, will I keep, Do not thou forsake me utterly.
9 जवान अपने चाल चलन किस तरह पाक रख्खे? तेरे कलाम के मुताबिक़ उस पर निगाह रखने से।
[BETH.] Wherewithal can a young man keep pure his way? By taking heed, according to thy word.
10 मैं पूरे दिल से तेरा तालिब हुआ हूँ: मुझे अपने फ़रमान से भटकने न दे।
With all my heart, have I sought thee, Suffer me not to be led astray from thy commandments.
11 मैंने तेरे कलाम को अपने दिल में रख लिया है ताकि मैं तेरे ख़िलाफ़ गुनाह न करूँ।
In my heart, have I treasured what thou hast said, to the end I may not sin against thee.
12 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! तू मुबारक है; मुझे अपने क़ानून सिखा!
Blessed art thou, O Yahweh—Teach me thy statutes.
13 मैंने अपने लबों से, तेरे फ़रमूदा अहकाम को बयान किया।
With my lips, have I recounted All the regulations of thy mouth.
14 मुझे तेरी शहादतों की राह से ऐसी ख़ुशी हुई, जैसी हर तरह की दौलत से होती है।
In the way of thy testimonies, have I rejoiced, Like as over all riches.
15 मैं तेरे क़वानीन पर ग़ौर करूँगा, और तेरी राहों का लिहाज़ रख्खूँगा।
In thy precepts, will I meditate, that I may discern thy paths.
16 मैं तेरे क़ानून में मसरूर रहूँगा; मैं तेरे कलाम को न भूलूँगा। गिमेल
In thy statutes, will I find my dear delight, I will not forget thy word.
17 अपने बन्दे पर एहसान कर ताकि मैं जिन्दा रहूँ और तेरे कलाम को मानता रहूँ।
[GIMEL.] Bestow thy bounties upon thy servant—let me live, That I may observe thy word.
18 मेरी आँखे खोल दे, ताकि मैं तेरी शरीअत के 'अजायब देखूँ।
Unveil thou mine eyes, that I may discern Wondrous things out of thy law.
19 मैं ज़मीन पर मुसाफ़िर हूँ, अपने फ़रमान मुझ से छिपे न रख।
A sojourner, am, I, in the earth, Do not hide from me, thy commandments.
20 मेरा दिल तेरे अहकाम के इश्तियाक में, हर वक़्त तड़पता रहता है।
My soul is crushed with longing for thy just decisions at all times.
21 तूने उन मला'ऊन मग़रूरों को झिड़क दिया, जो तेरे फ़रमान से भटकते रहते हैं।
Thou hast rebuked the proud as accursed, who stray from thy commandments.
22 मलामत और हिक़ारत को मुझ से दूर कर दे, क्यूँकि मैंने तेरी शहादतें मानी हैं।
Roll from off me, reproach and contempt, For, thy testimonies, have I observed.
23 उमरा भी बैठकर मेरे ख़िलाफ़ बातें करते रहे, लेकिन तेरा बंदा तेरे क़ानून पर ध्यान लगाए रहा।
Even rulers have taken their seat, against me, have talked, Thy servant, will still meditate in thy statutes.
24 तेरी शहादतें मुझे पसन्द, और मेरी मुशीर हैं। दाल्थ
Yea, thy testimonies, are my dear delight, My counsellors.
25 मेरी जान ख़ाक में मिल गई: तू अपने कलाम के मुताबिक़ मुझे ज़िन्दा कर।
[DALETH.] My soul, cleaveth to the dust, Give me life, according to thy word.
26 मैंने अपने चाल चलन का इज़हार किया और तूने मुझे जवाब दिया; मुझे अपने क़ानून की ता'लीम दे।
My ways, I recounted, and thou didst answer me, Teach me thy statutes.
27 अपने क़वानीन की राह मुझे समझा दे, और मैं तेरे 'अजायब पर ध्यान करूँगा।
The way of thy precepts, cause thou me to understand, and I will indeed meditate in thy wonders.
28 ग़म के मारे मेरी जान घुली जाती है; अपने कलाम के मुताबिक़ मुझे ताक़त दे।
My soul weepeth itself away, for grief, Confirm thou me, according to thy word.
29 झूट की राह से मुझे दूर रख, और मुझे अपनी शरी'अत इनायत फ़रमा।
The way of falsehood, take thou from me, and, with thy law, O favour me.
30 मैंने वफ़ादारी की राह इख़्तियार की है, मैंने तेरे अहकाम अपने सामने रख्खे हैं।
The way of faithfulness, have I chosen, Thy regulations, have I deemed right.
31 मैं तेरी शहादतों से लिपटा हुआ हूँ, ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! मुझे शर्मिन्दा न होने दे!
I have kept close to thy testimonies, O Yahweh! do not put me to shame.
32 जब तू मेरा हौसला बढ़ाएगा, तो मैं तेरे फ़रमान की राह में दौड़ूँगा। हे
The way of thy commandments, will I run, for thou wilt enlarge my heart.
33 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, मुझे अपने क़ानून की राह बता, और मैं आख़िर तक उस पर चलूँगा।
[HE.] Point out to me, O Yahweh, the way of thy statutes, that I may observe it unto the end.
34 मुझे समझ 'अता कर और मैं तेरी शरी'अत पर चलूँगा, बल्कि मैं पूरे दिल से उसको मानूँगा।
Give me understanding, that I may observe thy law, that I may keep it with a whole heart.
35 मुझे अपने फ़रमान की राह पर चला, क्यूँकि इसी में मेरी ख़ुशी है।
Guide me in the path of thy commandments, for, therein, do I find pleasure.
36 मेरे दिल की अपनी शहादतों की तरफ़ रुजू' दिला; न कि लालच की तरफ़।
Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not unto unjust gain.
37 मेरी आँखों को बेकारी पर नज़र करने से बाज़ रख, और मुझे अपनी राहों में ज़िन्दा कर।
Turn away mine eyes, from beholding vanity, In thy way, give me life.
38 अपने बन्दे के लिए अपना वह क़ौल पूरा कर, जिस से तेरा खौफ़ पैदा होता है।
Establish, unto thy servant, thy word, which pertaineth to the reverence of thee.
39 मेरी मलामत को जिस से मैं डरता हूँ दूर कर दे; क्यूँकि तेरे अहकाम भले हैं।
Cause to pass away my reproach, that I have feared, for, thy regulations, are good.
40 देख, मैं तेरे क़वानीन का मुश्ताक़ रहा हूँ; मुझे अपनी सदाक़त से ज़िन्दा कर। वाव
Lo! I have longed for thy precepts, In thy righteousness, give me life.
41 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, तेरे क़ौल के मुताबिक़, तेरी शफ़क़त और तेरी नजात मुझे नसीब हों,
[WAW.] And let thy lovingkindness reach me, O Yahweh, thy salvation, according to thy word.
42 तब मैं अपने मलामत करने वाले को जवाब दे सकूँगा, क्यूँकि मैं तेरे कलाम पर भरोसा रखता हूँ।
So shall I have something to answer him that reproacheth me, That I have trusted in thy word.
43 और हक़ बात को मेरे मुँह से हरगिज़ जुदा न होने दे, क्यूँकि मेरा भरोसा तेरे अहकाम पर है।
And do not snatch away from my mouth the word of truth in any wise, because, for thy regulation, have I waited.
44 फिर मैं हमेशा से हमेशा तक, तेरी शरी'अत को मानता रहूँगा
That I may keep thy law continually, to times age-abiding and beyond.
45 और मैं आज़ादी से चलूँगा, क्यूँकि मैं तेरे क़वानीन का तालिब रहा हूँ।
That I may walk to and fro in a large place, because, thy precepts, have I sought.
46 मैं बादशाहों के सामने तेरी शहादतों का बयान करूँगा, और शर्मिन्दा न हूँगा।
That I may speak of thy testimonies before kings, and not be ashamed.
47 तेरे फ़रमान मुझे अज़ीज़ हैं, मैं उनमें मसरूर रहूँगा।
That I may find dear delight in thy commandments, which I have loved.
48 मैं अपने हाथ तेरे फ़रमान की तरफ़ जो मुझे 'अज़ीज़ है उठाऊँगा, और तेरे क़ानून पर ध्यान करूँगा। ज़ैन
That I may lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I have loved, and may meditate in thy statutes.
49 जो कलाम तूने अपने बन्दे से किया उसे याद कर, क्यूँकि तूने मुझे उम्मीद दिलाई है।
[ZAYIN.] Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
50 मेरी मुसीबत में यही मेरी तसल्ली है, कि तेरे कलाम ने मुझे ज़िन्दा किया
This, is my comfort in mine affliction, that, thy word, hath given me life.
51 मग़रूरों ने मुझे बहुत ठठ्ठों में उड़ाया, तोभी मैंने तेरी शरी'अत से किनारा नहीं किया
Insolent men, have derided me exceedingly, From thy law, have I not swerved.
52 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! मैं तेरे क़दीम अहकाम को याद करता, और इत्मीनान पाता रहा हूँ।
I have remembered thy regulations, [which have come down] from age-past times, O Yahweh, and have consoled myself.
53 उन शरीरों की वजह से जो तेरी शरी'अत को छोड़ देते हैं, मैं सख़्त ग़ुस्से में आ गया हूँ।
A raging heat, hath seized me, by reason of the lawless, who forsake thy law.
54 मेरे मुसाफ़िर ख़ाने में, तेरे क़ानून मेरी हम्द रहे हैं।
Songs, have thy statutes become to me, in my house of sojourn.
55 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, रात को मैंने तेरा नाम याद किया है, और तेरी शरी'अत पर 'अमल किया है।
I have remembered, in the night, thy Name, O Yahweh, and have kept thy law.
56 यह मेरे लिए इसलिए हुआ, कि मैंने तेरे क़वानीन को माना। हेथ
This, have I had, because, thy precepts, have I observed.
57 ख़ुदावन्द मेरा बख़रा है; मैंने कहा है मैं तेरी बातें मानूँगा।
[HETH.] My portion, is Yahweh, I have promised that I would keep thy words.
58 मैं पूरे दिल से तेरे करम का तलब गार हुआ; अपने कलाम के मुताबिक़ मुझ पर रहम कर!
I have sought the smile of thy face with all my heart, Show me favour, according to thy word.
59 मैंने अपनी राहों पर ग़ौर किया, और तेरी शहादतों की तरफ़ अपने कदम मोड़े।
I have thought upon my ways, and have turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
60 मैंने तेरे फ़रमान मानने में, जल्दी की और देर न लगाई।
I have hastened, and not delayed, to keep thy commandments.
61 शरीरों की रस्सियों ने मुझे जकड़ लिया, लेकिन मैं तेरी शरी'अत को न भूला।
The meshes of the lawless, have surrounded me, Thy law, have I not forgotten.
62 तेरी सदाकत के अहकाम के लिए, मैं आधी रात को तेरा शुक्र करने को उठूँगा।
At midnight, I arise to give thanks unto thee, For thy righteous regulations.
63 मैं उन सबका साथी हूँ जो तुझ से डरते हैं, और उनका जो तेरे क़वानीन को मानते हैं।
Companion, am I, to all who revere thee, and to them who keep thy precepts.
64 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, ज़मीन तेरी शफ़क़त से मा'मूर है; मुझे अपने क़ानून सिखा! टेथ
Of thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, the earth, is full, Thy statutes, teach thou me.
65 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! तूने अपने कलाम के मुताबिक़, अपने बन्दे के साथ भलाई की है।
[TETH.] Well, hast thou dealt with thy servant, O Yahweh, according to thy word.
66 मुझे सही फ़र्क़ और 'अक़्ल सिखा, क्यूँकि मैं तेरे फ़रमान पर ईमान लाया हूँ।
Good judgment and knowledge, teach thou me, For, in thy commandments, have I trusted.
67 मैं मुसीबत उठाने से पहले गुमराह था; लेकिन अब तेरे कलाम को मानता हूँ।
Before I was afflicted, I myself was going astray, but, now, thy word, have I kept.
68 तू भला है और भलाई करता है; मुझे अपने क़ानून सिखा।
Good, thou art, and doing good, Teach me thy statutes.
69 मग़रूरों ने मुझ पर बहुतान बाँधा है; मैं पूरे दिल से तेरे क़वानीन को मानूँगा।
Insolent men have plastered falsehood over me, I, with a whole heart, will observe thy precepts.
70 उनके दिल चिकनाई से फ़र्बा हो गए, लेकिन मैं तेरी शरी'अत में मसरूर हूँ।
Gross, like fat, is their heart, I, in thy law, have found dear delight.
71 अच्छा हुआ कि मैंने मुसीबत उठाई, ताकि तेरे क़ानून सीख लूँ।
It is, well for me, that I was afflicted, That I might learn thy statutes.
72 तेरे मुँह की शरी'अत मेरे लिए, सोने चाँदी के हज़ारों सिक्कों से बेहतर है। योध
Better to me, is the law of thy mouth, than thousands of gold and silver.
73 तेरे हाथों ने मुझे बनाया और तरतीब दी; मुझे समझ 'अता कर ताकि तेरे फ़रमान सीख लें।
[YODH.] Thine own hands, have made me, and formed me. Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
74 तुझ से डरने वाले मुझे देख कर इसलिए कि मुझे तेरे कलाम पर भरोसा है।
They who revere thee, shall see me and rejoice, that, for thy word, I waited.
75 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, मैं तेरे अहकाम की सदाक़त को जानता हूँ, और यह कि वफ़ादारी ही से तूने मुझे दुख; में डाला।
I know, O Yahweh, that righteous are thy regulations, and, in faithfulness, didst thou afflict me.
76 उस कलाम के मुताबिक़ जो तूनेअपने बन्दे से किया, तेरी शफ़क़त मेरी तसल्ली का ज़रिया' हो।
Let thy lovingkindness, I beseech thee, serve to comfort me, according to thy word to thy servant.
77 तेरी रहमत मुझे नसीब हो ताकि मैं ज़िन्दा रहूँ। क्यूँकि तेरी शरी'अत मेरी ख़ुशनूदी है।
Let thy compassions reach me, that I may live, for, thy law, is my dear delight.
78 मग़रूर शर्मिन्दा हों, क्यूँकि उन्होंने नाहक़ मुझे गिराया, लेकिन मैं तेरे क़वानीन पर ध्यान करूँगा।
Let insolent men, be ashamed, because, by means of falsehood, they have dealt with me perversely, I, will meditate in thy precepts.
79 तुझ से डरने वाले मेरी तरफ़ रुजू हों, तो वह तेरी शहादतों को जान लेंगे।
Let them who revere thee, turn unto me, even they who know thy testimonies.
80 मेरा दिल तेरे क़ानून मानने में कामिल रहे, ताकि मैं शर्मिन्दगी न उठाऊँ। क़ाफ
Let my heart be thorough in thy statutes, that I may not be ashamed.
81 मेरी जान तेरी नजात के लिए बेताब है, लेकिन मुझे तेरे कलाम पर भरोसा है।
[KAPH.] My soul, hath languished for thy salvation, For thy word, have I hoped.
82 तेरे कलाम के इन्तिज़ार में मेरी आँखें रह गई, मैं यही कहता रहा कि तू मुझे कब तसल्ली देगा?
Mine eyes have failed for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 मैं उस मश्कीज़े की तरह हो गया जो धुएँ में हो, तोभी मैं तेरे क़ानून को नहीं भूलता।
Though I have been like a wine-skin in the smoke, thy statutes, have I not forgotten.
84 तेरे बन्दे के दिन ही कितने हैं? तू मेरे सताने वालों पर कब फ़तवा देगा?
How few are the days of thy servant! When wilt thou execute sentence on my persecutors?
85 मग़रूरों ने जो तेरी शरी'अत के पैरौ नहीं, मेरे लिए गढ़े खोदे हैं।
Insolent men digged for me pits, men who are not according to thy law.
86 तेरे सब फ़रमान बरहक़ हैं: वह नाहक़ मुझे सताते हैं; तू मेरी मदद कर!
All thy commandments, are faithful, With falsehood, have they persecuted me, O help me!
87 उन्होंने मुझे ज़मीन पर से फ़नाकर ही डाला था, लेकिन मैंने तेरे कवानीन को न छोड़ा।
A little more, and they had consumed me in the earth, but, I, forsake not thy precepts.
88 तू मुझे अपनी शफ़क़त के मुताबिक़ ज़िन्दा कर, तो मैं तेरे मुँह की शहादत को मानूँगा। लामेध
According to thy lovingkindness, give thou me life, so will I keep the testimonies of thy mouth.
89 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! तेरा कलाम, आसमान पर हमेशा तक क़ाईम है।
[LAMED.] Age-abidingly, O Yahweh, hath thy word been set up in the heavens.
90 तेरी वफ़ादारी नसल दर नसल है; तूने ज़मीन को क़याम बख़्शा और वह क़ाईम है।
To generation after generation, is thy faithfulness, Thou hast established the earth, and it standeth.
91 वह आज तेरे अहकाम के मुताबिक़ क़ाईम हैं क्यूँकि सब चीजें तेरी ख़िदमत गुज़ार हैं।
By thy regulations, do they stand to-day, for, all, are thy servants.
92 अगर तेरी शरी'अत मेरी ख़ुशनूदी न होती, तो मैं अपनी मुसीबत में हलाक हो जाता।
Had not thy law been my dear delight, then, had I perished in mine affliction.
93 मैं तेरे क़वानीन को कभी न भूलूँगा, क्यूँकि तूने उन्ही के वसीले से मुझे ज़िन्दा किया है।
Unto times age-abiding, will I not forget thy precepts, For, by them, hast thou given me life.
94 मैं तेरा ही हूँ मुझे बचा ले, क्यूँकि मैं तेरे क़वानीन का तालिब रहा हूँ।
Thine, am I, —oh save me! For, thy precepts, have I sought.
95 शरीर मुझे हलाक करने को घात में लगे रहे, लेकिन मैं तेरी शहादतों पर ग़ौर करूँगा।
For me, have the lawless waited, to destroy me, Thy testimonies, will I diligently consider.
96 मैंने देखा कि हर कमाल की इन्तिहा है, लेकिन तेरा हुक्म बहुत वसी'अ है। मीम
To all perfection, have I seen an end, Broad is thy commandment, exceedingly.
97 आह! मैं तेरी शरी'अत से कैसी मुहब्बत रखता हूँ, मुझे दिन भर उसी का ध्यान रहता है।
[MEM.] Oh how I love thy law! All the day, is it my (meditation)
98 तेरे फ़रमान मुझे मेरे दुश्मनों से ज़्यादा 'अक़्लमंद बनाते हैं, क्यूँकि वह हमेशा मेरे साथ हैं।
Beyond mine enemies, will thy commandment make me wise, for, age-abidingly, shall it be mine.
99 मैं अपने सब उस्तादों से 'अक़्लमंद हैं, क्यूँकि तेरी शहादतों पर मेरा ध्यान रहता है।
Beyond all my teachers, have I shown discretion, for, thy testimonies, are my (meditation)
100 मैं उम्र रसीदा लोगों से ज़्यादा समझ रखता हूँ क्यूँकि मैंने तेरे क़वानीन को माना है।
Beyond the elders, will I show understanding, for, thy precepts, have I observed.
101 मैंने हर बुरी राह से अपने क़दम रोक रख्खें हैं, ताकि तेरी शरी'अत पर 'अमल करूँ।
From every way of wickedness, have I withheld my feet, that I might keep thy word.
102 मैंने तेरे अहकाम से किनारा नहीं किया, क्यूँकि तूने मुझे ता'लीम दी है।
From thy regulations, have I not turned aside, for, thou, hast directed me.
103 तेरी बातें मेरे लिए कैसी शीरीन हैं, वह मेरे मुँह को शहद से भी मीठी मा'लूम होती हैं!
How smooth to my palate is thy speech, More than honey, to my mouth.
104 तेरे क़वानीन से मुझे समझ हासिल होता है, इसलिए मुझे हर झूटी राह से नफ़रत है। नून
Out of thy precepts, will I get understanding, For this cause, do I hate every false way.
105 तेरा कलाम मेरे क़दमों के लिए चराग़, और मेरी राह के लिए रोशनी है।
[NUN.] A lamp to my feet, is thy word, and a light to my path.
106 मैंने क़सम खाई है और उस पर क़ाईम हूँ, कि तेरी सदाक़त के अहकाम पर'अमल करूँगा।
I sware, and have fulfilled, To keep thy righteous regulations.
107 मैं बड़ी मुसीबत में हूँ। ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! अपने कलाम के मुताबिक़ मुझे ज़िन्दा कर।
I have been afflicted exceedingly, —O Yahweh, give me life according to thy word.
108 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, मेरे मुँह से रज़ा की क़ुर्बानियाँ क़ुबूल फ़रमा और मुझे अपने अहकाम की ता'लीम दे।
The freewill offerings of my mouth, accept, I pray thee, O Yahweh, And, thy regulations, teach thou me.
109 मेरी जान हमेशा हथेली पर है, तोभी मैं तेरी शरी'अत को नहीं भूलता।
My life, is in my hand continually, Yet, thy law, have I not forgotten.
110 शरीरों ने मेरे लिए फंदा लगाया है, तोभी मैं तेरे क़वानीन से नहीं भटका।
The lawless have set a snare for me, Yet, from thy precepts, have I not strayed.
111 मैंने तेरी शहादतों को अपनी हमेशा की मीरास बनाया है, क्यूँकि उनसे मेरे दिल को ख़ुशी होती है।
As an inheritance have I taken thy testimonies unto times age-abiding, for, the joy of my heart, they are.
112 मैंने हमेशा के लिए आख़िर तक, तेरे क़ानून मानने पर दिल लगाया है। सामेख
I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes, Age-abidingly, to the end.
113 मुझे दो दिलों से नफ़रत है, लेकिन तेरी शरी'अत से मुहब्बत रखता हूँ।
[SAMECH.] Half-hearted ones, do I hate, but, thy law, do I love.
114 तू मेरे छिपने की जगह और मेरी ढाल है; मुझे तेरे कलाम पर भरोसा है।
My hiding-place and my buckler, thou art, For thy word, have I waited.
115 ऐ बदकिरदारो! मुझ से दूर हो जाओ, ताकि मैं अपने ख़ुदा के फ़रमान पर'अमल करूँ!
Depart from me, ye evil-doers, —that I may observe the commandments of my God.
116 तू अपने कलाम के मुताबिक़ मुझे संभाल ताकि ज़िन्दा रहूँ, और मुझे अपने भरोसा से शर्मिन्दगी न उठाने दे।
Uphold me according to thy word, that I may live, and do not shame me out of my hope!
117 मुझे संभाल और मैं सलामत रहूँगा, और हमेशा तेरे क़ानून का लिहाज़ रखूँगा।
Sustain me, that I may be saved, and may find dear delight in thy statutes continually.
118 तूने उन सबको हक़ीर जाना है, जो तेरे क़ानून से भटक जाते हैं; क्यूँकि उनकी दग़ाबाज़ी 'बेकार है।
Thou hast made light of all who stray from thy statutes, for their fraud is, falsehood.
119 तू ज़मीन के सब शरीरों को मैल की तरह छाँट देता है; इसलिए में तेरी शहादतों को 'अज़ीज़ रखता हूँ।
Dross, have I accounted all the lawless of the earth, therefore do I love thy testimonies.
120 मेरा जिस्म तेरे ख़ौफ़ से काँपता है, और मैं तेरे अहकाम से डरता हूँ। ऐन
My flesh, bristled up from dread of thee, and, of thy regulations, stand I in fear.
121 मैंने 'अद्ल और इन्साफ़ किया है; मुझे उनके हवाले न कर जो मुझ पर ज़ुल्म करते हैं।
[AYIN.] I have done justice and righteousness, —Do not leave me to mine oppressors.
122 भलाई के लिए अपने बन्दे का ज़ामिन हो, मग़रूर मुझ पर ज़ुल्म न करें।
Be thou surety for thy servant for good, Let not insolent men oppress me.
123 तेरी नजात और तेरी सदाक़त के कलाम के इन्तिज़ार में मेरी आँखें रह गई।
Mine eyes, have become dim for thy salvation, and for thy righteous word.
124 अपने बन्दे से अपनी शफ़क़त के मुताबिक़ सुलूक कर, और मुझे अपने क़ानून सिखा।
Deal with thy servant according to thy lovingkindness, and, thy statutes, teach thou me.
125 मैं तेरा बन्दा हूँ! मुझ को समझ 'अता कर, ताकि तेरी शहादतों को समझ लूँ।
Thy servant, I am—give me understanding, so shall I get to know thy testimonies.
126 अब वक़्त आ गया, कि ख़ुदावन्द काम करे, क्यूँकि उन्होंने तेरी शरी'अत को बेकार कर दिया है।
It is time that Yahweh should work, They have frustrated thy law!
127 इसलिए मैं तेरे फ़रमान को सोने से बल्कि कुन्दन से भी ज़्यादा अज़ीज़ रखता हूँ।
For this cause, do I love thy commandments, More than gold, yea than fine gold!
128 इसलिए मैं तेरे सब कवानीन को बरहक़ जानता हूँ, और हर झूटी राह से मुझे नफ़रत है। पे
For this cause, all thy precepts concerning all things, I deem right, Every way of falsehood, I hate.
129 तेरी शहादतें 'अजीब हैं, इसलिए मेरा दिल उनको मानता है।
[PE.] Wonderful are thy testimonies, For this cause, hath my soul observed them.
130 तेरी बातों की तशरीह नूर बख़्शती है, वह सादा दिलों को 'अक़्लमन्द बनाती है।
The opening of thy words, sheddeth light, Giving understanding to the simple.
131 मैं खू़ब मुँह खोलकर हाँपता रहा, क्यूँकि मैं तेरे फ़रमान का मुश्ताक़ था।
My mouth, have I opened wide, and panted, because, for thy commandments, have I longed.
132 मेरी तरफ़ तवज्जुह कर और मुझ पर रहम फ़रमा, जैसा तेरे नाम से मुहब्बत रखने वालों का हक़ है।
Turn thyself unto me, and show me favour, —As is befitting, to the lovers of thy Name.
133 अपने कलाम में मेरी रहनुमाई कर, कोई बदकारी मुझ पर तसल्लुत न पाए।
My steps, direct thou by thy word, and let no iniquity, have dominion over me.
134 इंसान के ज़ुल्म से मुझे छुड़ा ले, तो तेरे क़वानीन पर 'अमल करूँगा।
Set me free from the oppression of man, so will I keep thy precepts.
135 अपना चेहरा अपने बन्दे पर जलवागर फ़रमा, और मुझे अपने क़ानून सिखा।
Thy face, light thou up on thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.
136 मेरी आँखों से पानी के चश्मे जारी हैं, इसलिए कि लोग तेरी शरी'अत को नहीं मानते। सांदे
Streams of water, have run down mine eyes, because men have not kept thy law.
137 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द तू सादिक़ है, और तेरे अहकाम बरहक़ हैं।
[ZADHE.] Righteous art thou, O Yahweh, —and, equitable, are thy regulations.
138 तूने सदाक़त और कमाल वफ़ादारी से, अपनी शहादतों को ज़ाहिर फ़रमाया है।
Thou hast righteously commanded thy testimonies, yea in great faithfulness.
139 मेरी गै़रत मुझे खा गई, क्यूँकि मेरे मुख़ालिफ़ तेरी बातें भूल गए।
My zeal, hath put an end to me, for mine adversaries have forgotten thy words.
140 तेरा कलाम बिल्कुल ख़ालिस है, इसलिए तेरे बन्दे को उससे मुहब्बत है।
Refined is thy word, to the uttermost, and, thy servant loveth it.
141 मैं अदना और हक़ीर हूँ, तौ भी मैं तेरे क़वानीन को नहीं भूलता।
Small, am I, and despised, Thy precepts, have I not forgotten.
142 तेरी सदाक़त हमेशा की सदाक़त है, और तेरी शरी'अत बरहक़ है।
Thy righteousness, is righteous to times age-abiding, and, thy law, is truth.
143 मैं तकलीफ़ और ऐज़ाब में मुब्तिला, हूँ तोभी तेरे फ़रमान मेरी ख़ुशनूदी हैं।
Straitness and distress, have befallen me, Thy commandments, are my dear delights.
144 तेरी शहादतें हमेशा रास्त हैं; मुझे समझ 'अता कर तो मैं ज़िन्दा रहूँगा। क़ाफ
Righteous are thy testimonies, unto times age-abiding, Give me understanding, that I may live.
145 मैं पूरे दिल से दुआ करता हूँ, ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, मुझे जवाब दे। मैं तेरे क़ानून पर 'अमल करूँगा।
[KOPH.] I have cried out with all my heart, answer me, O Yahweh; Thy statutes, will I observe.
146 मैंने तुझ से दुआ की है, मुझे बचा ले, और मैं तेरी शहादतों को मानूँगा।
I have cried out unto thee, oh save me, That I may keep thy testimonies.
147 मैंने पौ फटने से पहले फ़रियाद की; मुझे तेरे कलाम पर भरोसा है।
I forestalled the twilight, and cried for help, For thy word, I waited.
148 मेरी आँखें रात के हर पहर से पहले खुल गई, ताकि तेरे कलाम पर ध्यान करूँ।
Mine eyes forestalled the night-watches, To meditate in thy word.
149 अपनी शफ़क़त के मुताबिक़ मेरी फ़रियाद सुन: ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! अपने अहकाम के मुताबिक़ मुझे ज़िन्दा कर।
My voice, O hear, according to thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh! according to thy wont, give me life.
150 जो शरारत के दर पै रहते हैं, वह नज़दीक आ गए; वह तेरी शरी'अत से दूर हैं।
They have drawn near, who pursue villainy, From thy law, have they gone far away.
151 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, तू नज़दीक है, और तेरे सब फ़रमान बरहक़ हैं।
Near art thou, O Yahweh, and, all thy commandments, are truth.
152 तेरी शहादतों से मुझे क़दीम से मा'लूम हुआ, कि तूने उनको हमेशा के लिए क़ाईम किया है। रेश
Long, have I known, from thy testimonies, That, to times age-abiding, thou didst establish them.
153 मेरी मुसीबत का ख़याल करऔर मुझे छुड़ा, क्यूँकि मैं तेरी शरी'अत को नहीं भूलता।
[RESH.] Behold mine affliction, and rescue me, For, thy law, have I not forgotten.
154 मेरी वकालत कर और मेरा फ़िदिया दे: अपने कलाम के मुताबिक़ मुझे ज़िन्दा कर।
Plead my cause, and redeem me, By thy word, give me life
155 नजात शरीरों से दूर है, क्यूँकि वह तेरे क़ानून के तालिब नहीं हैं।
Far from the lawless, is salvation, For, thy statutes, have they not sought.
156 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! तेरी रहमत बड़ी है; अपने अहकाम के मुताबिक़ मुझे ज़िन्दा कर।
Thy compassions, are great, O Yahweh, According to thy regulations, give me life.
157 मेरे सताने वाले और मुखालिफ़ बहुत हैं, तोभी मैंने तेरी शहादतों से किनारा न किया।
Many, are my persecutors and mine adversaries, From thy testimonies, have I not swerved.
158 मैं दग़ाबाज़ों को देख कर मलूल हुआ, क्यूँकि वह तेरे कलाम को नहीं मानते।
I have seen traitors, and felt loathing, Because, thy word, they kept not.
159 ख़याल फ़रमा कि मुझे तेरे क़वानीन से कैसी मुहब्बत है! ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! अपनी शफ़क़त के मुताबिक मुझे ज़िन्दा कर।
See thou that, thy precepts, I have loved, O Yahweh, according to thy lovingkindness, give me life.
160 तेरे कलाम का ख़ुलासा सच्चाई है, तेरी सदाक़त के कुल अहकाम हमेशा के हैं। शीन
The sum of thy word, is truth, and, age-abiding, is every one of thy righteous regulations.
161 उमरा ने मुझे बे वजह सताया है, लेकिन मेरे दिल में तेरी बातों का ख़ौफ़ है।
[SHIN.] Rulers, have persecuted me, without cause, But, of thy word, hath my heart stood in awe.
162 मैं बड़ी लूट पाने वाले की तरह, तेरे कलाम से ख़ुश हूँ।
Joyful am I over thy word, Like the finder of spoil in abundance.
163 मुझे झूट से नफ़रत और कराहियत है, लेकिन तेरी शरी'अत से मुहब्बत है।
Falsehood, I hate and abhor, Thy law, do I love.
164 मैं तेरी सदाक़त के अहकाम की वजह से, दिन में सात बार तेरी सिताइश करता हूँ।
Seven times in the day, have I praised thee, For thy righteous regulations.
165 तेरी शरी'अत से मुहब्बत रखने वाले मुत्मइन हैं; उनके लिए ठोकर खाने का कोई मौक़ा' नहीं।
Blessing in abundance, have the lovers of thy law, and nothing to make them stumble.
166 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! मैं तेरी नजात का उम्मीदवार रहा हूँ और तेरे फ़रमान बजा लाया हूँ।
I have looked for thy salvation, O Yahweh, and, thy commandments, have I done.
167 मेरी जान ने तेरी शहादतें मानी हैं, और वह मुझे बहुत 'अज़ीज़ हैं।
My soul hath kept thy testimonies, yea I have loved them greatly.
168 मैंने तेरे क़वानीन और शहादतों को माना है, क्यूँकि मेरे सब चाल चलन तेरे सामने हैं। ताव
I have kept thy precepts, and thy testimonies, For, all my ways, are before thee.
169 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! मेरी फ़रियाद तेरे सामने पहुँचे; अपने कलाम के मुताबिक़ मुझे समझ 'अता कर।
[TAU] Let my shouting come near before thee, O Yahweh, According to thy word, give me understanding.
170 मेरी इल्तिजा तेरे सामने पहुँचे, अपने कलाम के मुताबिक़ मुझे छुड़ा।
Let my supplication come in before thee, According to thy word, deliver me.
171 मेरे लबों से तेरी सिताइश हो। क्यूँकि तू मुझे अपने क़ानून सिखाता है।
My lips, shall pour out, praise, When thou shalt teach me thy statutes.
172 मेरी ज़बान तेरे कलाम का हम्द गाए, क्यूँकि तेरे सब फ़रमान बरहक़ हैं।
My tongue, shall respond, with thy word, For, all thy commandments, are righteous.
173 तेरा हाथ मेरी मदद को तैयार है क्यूँकि मैंने तेरे क़वानीन इख़्तियार, किए हैं।
Be thy hand ready to help me, For, thy statutes, have I chosen.
174 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! मैं तेरी नजात का मुश्ताक़ रहा हूँ, और तेरी शरी'अत मेरी ख़ुशनूदी है।
I have longed for thy salvation, O Yahweh, and, thy law, is my dear delight.
175 मेरी जान ज़िन्दा रहे तो वह तेरी सिताइश करेगी, और तेरे अहकाम मेरी मदद करें।
Let my soul live, that it may praise thee, So shall thy regulation help me.
176 मैं खोई हुई भेड़ की तरह भटक गया हूँ अपने बन्दे की तलाश कर, क्यूँकि मैं तेरे फ़रमान को नहीं भूलता।
I have strayed like a wandering sheep, O seek thy servant, For, thy commandments, have I not forgotten.
