< 4 Mose 11 >

1 Ankyɛre biara na nnipa no firii aseɛ nwiinwii sɛ nneɛma nkɔ yie mma wɔn, na Awurade teeɛ. Nʼabufuhyeɛ kɔɔ wɔn so wɔ wɔn anwiinwii no ho. Yei enti, Awurade maa ogya bɛhyee beaeɛ a na wɔte hɔ no mfikyire.
When the people became murmurers, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord heard it, therefore his wrath was kindled, and the fire of the Lord burnt among them, and consumed the vtmost parte of the hoste.
2 Wɔteateaam frɛɛ Mose sɛ ɔmmɛgye wɔn. Mose bɔɔ mpaeɛ srɛɛ Awurade maa wɔn na ogya no dumiiɛ.
Then the people cryed vnto Moses: and when Moses praied vnto the Lord, the fire was quenched.
3 Ɛfiri saa ɛberɛ no, wɔtoo beaeɛ hɔ edin sɛ Tabera a asekyerɛ ne “Ahyeɛ”, ɛfiri sɛ, ogya a ɛfiri Awurade nkyɛn no hyee wɔn atenaeɛ hɔ.
And he called the name of that place Taberah, because the fire of the Lord burnt among them.
4 Misraimfoɔ a na wɔwɔ wɔn ntam no kɔn dɔɔ nneɛma pa a na ɛwɔ Misraim no. Yei amma Israelfoɔ no ani ansɔ baabi a na wɔwɔ hɔ no, enti wɔsuu sɛ, “Hwan na ɔbɛma yɛn aduane adi?
And a nomber of people that was amog them, fell a lusting, and turned away, and the children of Israel also wept, and saide, Who shall giue vs flesh to eate?
5 Ɛberɛ a na yɛwɔ Misraim no, na yɛnya ɛnam ne nsuomnam we. Saa ara nso na na yɛnya kokumba, ɛferɛ, gyeene ne galik nso die.
We remember the fish which we did eat in Egypt for nought, the cucumbers, and the pepons, and the leekes, and the onions, and the garleke.
6 Nanso, seesei deɛ, yɛn ahoɔden so ate na ɛda biara yɛnnya biribiara sɛ mana nko ara.”
But now our soule is dryed away, we can see nothing but this Man.
7 Na mana no kɛseɛ te sɛ wisa aba na ɛsɛ ɛhyɛ a awaawae firi dubona ho agu fam.
(The Man also was as coriander seede, and his colour like the colour of bdelium.
8 Nnipa no tasee firi fam na wɔayam anaa wɔasi no waduro mu ama adane esiam. Wɔwie a, wɔnoa de bi yɛ taterɛ. Woka wʼano a, ɛte sɛ taterɛ a wɔakye wɔ nhahamma ngo mu.
The people went about and gathered it, and ground it in milles, or beat it in morters, and baked it in a cauldron, and made cakes of it, and the taste of it was like vnto the taste of fresh oyle.
9 Anadwo bosuo mu na mana no tɔ.
And when the dewe fell downe vpon the hoste in the night, the Man fell with it)
10 Mose tee sɛ mmusuakuo no nyinaa gyinagyina, atwa wɔn ntomadan ho ahyia resu. Yei hyɛɛ Awurade abufuo yie. Na anyɛ Mose nso abodwo koraa.
Then Moses heard the people weepe throughout their families, euery man in the doore of his tent, and the wrath of the Lord was grieuously kindled: also Moses was grieued.
11 Mose bisaa Awurade sɛ, “Adɛn enti na woyɛ me saa na wode saa nnipa a wɔte seyie yi nyinaa adesoa abɛsoa me?
And Moses saide vnto the Lord, Wherefore hast thou vexed thy seruant? and why haue I not found fauour in thy sight, seeing thou hast put the charge of al this people vpon mee?
12 Wɔyɛ me mma anaasɛ me nso meyɛ wɔn agya? Yei enti na wode wɔn ama me sɛ menhwɛ wɔn sɛ nkɔkoaa kɔsi sɛ yɛbɛduru asase a wohyɛɛ wɔn agyanom ho bɔ no?
Haue I conceiued al this people? or haue I begotte them, that thou shouldest say vnto me, Cary them in thy bosome (as a nurse beareth the sucking childe) vnto the lande, for the which thou swarest vnto their fathers?
13 Ɛhefa na merekɔfa ɛnam abrɛ nnipa yi? Wɔsu kyerɛ me sɛ, ‘Ma yɛn ɛnam!’
Where should I haue flesh to giue vnto al this people? for they weepe vnto me, saying, Giue vs flesh that we may eate.
14 Mʼankasa merentumi nsoa ɔman yi! Adesoa no mu yɛ duru ma me dodo!
I am not able to beare al this people alone, for it is too heauie for me.
15 Na sɛ saa na wo ne me bɛdi no deɛ a, mesrɛ, kum me seesei ara; ɛbɛyɛ adom ama me! Yi me firi saa ahokyere yi mu!”
Therefore if thou deale thus with mee, I pray thee, if I haue founde fauour in thy sight, kill me, that I behold not my miserie.
16 Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose sɛ, “Frɛ Israelfoɔ mpanimfoɔ no mu aduɔson ma me; fa wɔn bra Ahyiaeɛ Ntomadan no mu na wo ne wɔn nnyina hɔ.
Then the Lord said vnto Moses, Gather vnto me seuetie men of ye Elders of Israel, whome thou knowest, that they are the Elders of the people, and gouernonrs ouer them, and bring them vnto the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and let them stand there with thee,
17 Mɛba hɔ na me ne wo abɛkasa na honhom a ɛwɔ wo so no, mɛfa na mede akɔgu wɔn nso so bi; ɛba saa a, wɔne wo bɛsoa nnipa no adesoa sɛdeɛ ɛrenyɛ wo nko ara wʼadesoa.
And I will come downe, and talke with thee there, and take of the Spirite, which is vpon thee, and put vpon them, and they shall beare the burthen of the people with thee: so thou shalt not beare it alone.
18 “Ka kyerɛ nnipa no na wɔnnwira wɔn ho na ɔkyena, wɔbɛnya ɛnam awe. Ka kyerɛ wɔn sɛ, ‘Awurade ate mo sufrɛ a ɛfa nneɛma a mogyaa no Misraim no ho na ɔrebɛma mo ɛnam. Mobɛwe;
Furthermore thou shalt saye vnto the people, Bee sanctified against to morowe, and yee shall eate flesh: for you haue wept in the eares of the Lord, saying, Who shall giue vs flesh to eate? for we were better in Egypt: therefore the Lord will giue you flesh, and ye shall eate.
19 ɛnyɛ ɛda koro anaa nnanu anaa nnanum anaa dadu anaa adaduonu!
Ye shall not eat one day nor two daies, nor fiue daies, neither ten daies, nor twentie dayes,
20 Na bosome baako mu, mobɛwe ɛnam ara ma apuro mo ama afa mo hwene mu. Ɛfiri sɛ, moapo Awurade a ɔka mo ho wɔ ha no, na moasu ama Misraim nso.’”
But a whole moneth, vntill it come out at your nostrels, and bee lothesome vnto you, because ye haue contemned the Lord, which is among you, and haue wept before him, saying, Why came we hither out of Egypt?
21 Mose kaa sɛ, “Mmarima nko ara mpem ahansia na wɔwɔ ha, ɛnna woahyɛ wɔn bɔ sɛ wobɛma wɔn ɛnam awe ara bosome!
And Moses saide, Six hundreth thousande footemen are there of the people, among whom I am: and thou saiest, I will giue them flesh, that they may eate a moneth long.
22 Sɛ yɛkum yɛn nnwan ne yɛn anantwie nyinaa koraa a, ɛrenso wɔn so. Ɛsɛ sɛ yɛkyere ɛpo mu ɛnam nyinaa ansa na yɛatumi adi wo bɔhyɛ no so!”
Shall the sheepe and the beeues be slaine for them, to finde them? either shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them to suffice them?
23 Na Awurade bisaa Mose sɛ, “Da bɛn na meyɛɛ mmerɛ? Afei wobɛhunu sɛ mʼasɛm yɛ nokorɛ anaa ɛnyɛ nokorɛ.”
And the Lord saide vnto Moses, Is the Lordes hand shortened? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to passe vnto thee, or no.
24 Enti Mose firii Ahyiaeɛ Ntomadan no mu hɔ kɔkaa nsɛm a Awurade ka kyerɛɛ no no nyinaa kyerɛɛ nnipa no. Ɔboaboaa mpanimfoɔ aduɔson ano ma wɔtwaa Ahyiaeɛ Ntomadan no ho hyiaeɛ.
So Moses went out, and told the people the wordes of the Lord, and gathered seuentie men of the Elders of the people, and set them round about the Tabernacle.
25 Na Awurade nam omununkum mu baa fam ne Mose kasaeɛ, na ɔfaa honhom a ɛwɔ Mose so no de guu mpanimfoɔ aduɔson no so. Ɛberɛ a honhom no baa wɔn so kakra no, wɔhyɛɛ nkɔm mmerɛ tiawa bi mu.
Then the Lord came downe in a cloude, and spake vnto him, and tooke of the Spirit that was vpon him, and put it vpon the seuentie Ancient men: and when the Spirit rested vpon them, then they prophecied, and did not cease.
26 Nanso na mpanimfoɔ aduɔson no mu baanu a wɔfrɛ wɔn Eldad ne Medad da so wɔ wɔn atenaeɛ hɔ. Na mmerɛ a honhom no baa wɔn so wɔ hɔ no, wɔhyɛɛ nkɔm wɔ hɔ.
But there remained two of the men in the hoste: the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad, and the Spirit rested vpon them, (for they were of them that were written, and went not out vnto the Tabernacle) and they prophecied in the hoste.
27 Mmeranteɛ bi tuu mmirika kɔbɔɔ Mose asɛm a asie no ho amaneɛ
Then there ranne a yong man, and tolde Moses, and saide, Eldad and Medad doe prophesie in the hoste.
28 na Nun babarima Yosua a na wɔayi no sɛ ɔnyɛ Mose ɔboafoɔ no ampene so, na ɔkaa sɛ, “Owura, ma wɔnnyae!”
And Ioshua the sonne of Nun the seruant of Moses one of his yong men answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.
29 Mose bisaa no sɛ, “Me ho na woretwe ninkunu yi? Ɛkaa me nko a, na anka Awurade nkurɔfoɔ nyinaa yɛ adiyifoɔ a Awurade de ne honhom agu wɔn nyinaa so!”
But Moses saide vnto him, Enuiest thou for my sake? yea, would God that all the Lordes people were Prophets, and that the Lord woulde put his Spirit vpon them.
30 Afei, Mose ne Israel mpanimfoɔ no sane kɔɔ wɔn atenaeɛ hɔ.
And Moses returned into the hoste, he and the Elders of Israel.
31 Awurade bɔɔ ahum maa ɛde mmoko firi ɛpo mu bɛguu atenaeɛ hɔ ne ɛho mmaa nyinaa. Baabiara a obi bɛfa no, na nnomaa yi bi atu nenam asase ani bɛyɛ anammɔn ɛnan.
Then there went foorth a winde from the Lord, and brought quailes from the Sea, and let them fall vpon the campe, a dayes iourney on this side, and a dayes iourney on the other side, round about the hoste, and they were about two cubites aboue the earth.
32 Enti ɛda mu no nyinaa, nnipa kyekyeree mmoko no bi kunkumm wɔn awia ne anadwo ne nʼadekyeeɛ nso. Deɛ wannya bi no koraa na ɔnyaa susukora ɔha! Mmoko buu so wɔ atenaeɛ hɔ nyinaa.
Then the people arose, al that day, and all the night, and all the next day, and gathered the quailes: he that gathered the least, gathered ten Homers full, and they spred them abroade for their vse round about the hoste.
33 Na nnipa no firii aseɛ wee mmoa no bi. Wɔhyɛɛ aseɛ weeɛ no, Awurade bo sane fuu wɔn maa ɔde ɔyaredɔm kumm wɔn mu fa kɛseɛ no ara.
While the flesh was yet betweene their teeth, before it was chewed, euen the wrath of the Lord was kindled against the people, and the Lord smote the people with an exceeding great plague.
34 Enti wɔtoo beaeɛ hɔ edin sɛ Kibrot-Hataawa a asekyerɛ ne, “Akɔnnɔ damena” ɛfiri sɛ, wɔn a na wɔn ani bere ɛnam na wɔn kɔn adɔ Misraim tena no na wɔsiee wɔn wɔ hɔ.
So the name of the place was called, Kibroth-hattaauah: for there they buried the people that fell a lusting.
35 Ɔman no tu firii hɔ kɔtenaa Haserot kakra.
From Kibroth-hattaauah ye people tooke their iourney to Hazeroth, and abode at Hazeroth.
