< Mateo 9 >

1 Yei akyi no, Yesu kɔtenaa kodoɔ bi mu kɔɔ Kapernaum, kuro a ɔte mu.
And he entered the ship, and passed over and came to his own city.
2 Ɔduruu hɔ no, ankyɛre biara na nnipa bi de obubuafoɔ bi brɛɛ no sɛ ɔnsa no yadeɛ. Na Yesu hunuu gyidie a wɔwɔ wɔ ne mu no, ɔka kyerɛɛ obubuafoɔ no sɛ, “Ɔba, ma wʼani nnye, wɔde wo bɔne nyinaa akyɛ wo.”
And they brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And Jesus saw their faith, and said to the paralytic: Take courage, my son; thy sins are forgiven thee.
3 Ɛhɔ ara na Atwerɛsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ a na wɔwɔ hɔ no bi teaam sɛ, “Ɔbarima yi ka abususɛm. Ɔkyerɛ sɛ ɔyɛ Onyankopɔn!”
And some of the Scribes said in their minds, This man blasphemeth.
4 Yesu hunuu deɛ ɛwɔ wɔn adwenem no, ɔbisaa wɔn sɛ, “Adɛn enti na modwene bɔne ho saa?
But Jesus knew their thoughts: and he said to them, Why do ye think evil things in your heart?
5 Me Onipa Ba no, mewɔ tumi wɔ asase yi so sɛ metumi de bɔne kyɛ. Deɛ ɛwɔ he na ɛyɛ den, sɛ obi bɛka sɛ, ‘Mede wo bɔne akyɛ wo’ anaasɛ ɔbɛka sɛ, ‘Sɔre na nante?’”
For, which is the easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say, Arise and walk?
6 Nanso, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ na mobɛhunu sɛ Onipa Ba no wɔ tumi sɛ ɔde bɔne kyɛ enti, ɔka kyerɛɛ obubuafoɔ no sɛ, “Sɔre na bobɔ wo kɛtɛ, na kɔ efie ɛfiri sɛ, masa wo yadeɛ.”
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins, he said to the paralytic: Arise, take up thy bed, and go to thy home.
7 Amonom hɔ ara, obubuafoɔ no sɔre bobɔɔ ne kɛtɛ, siim kɔɔ ne fie!
And he arose and went to his home.
8 Nnipadɔm no hunuu anwanwadeɛ yi no, wɔn ho dwirii wɔn yie. Wɔkamfoo Onyankopɔn sɛ ɔde tumi a ɛte saa ama onipa!
And when the multitudes saw it, they were struck with awe; and they praised God, who had given authority like this to men.
9 Yesu firi deɛ ɔsaa obubuafoɔ no yadeɛ hɔ rekɔ no, ɔhunuu ɔbarima ɔtogyeni bi a ɔte atogyeeɛ. Wɔfrɛ saa ɔbarima no Mateo. Yesu hunuu no no, ɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Bɛdi mʼakyi.” Ɛhɔ ara, Mateo sɔre dii Yesu akyi.
And as Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man sitting at the custom-house, whose name was Matthew. And he said to him, Follow me: and he arose and followed him.
10 Ɛbaa sɛ Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ no kɔɔ Mateo fie kɔdidiiɛ. Wɔredidi no, ɔtogyefoɔ ne nnebɔneyɛfoɔ bebree baa hɔ ne no ne nʼasuafoɔ no too nsa didiiɛ.
And as they were reclining in a house, many publicans an sinners came and reclined with Jesus and his disciples.
11 Farisifoɔ no hunuu sɛ ɔne nnebɔneyɛfoɔ ato nsa redidi no, anyɛ wɔn dɛ. Wɔbisaa nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Adɛn enti na mo ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ no de ne ho abɔ nnebɔneyɛfoɔ a wɔte sɛɛ yi?”
And when the Pharisees saw it they said to his disciples, Why doth your Rabbi eat with publicans and sinners?
12 Yesu teeɛ no, ɔbuaa wɔn sɛ, “Nnipa a wɔnyare no, ɔyaresafoɔ ho nhia wɔn, na nnipa a wɔyare no na ɔyaresafoɔ ho hia wɔn.”
And as Jesus heard it, he said to them: They who are in health have no need of a physician, but they that are very sick.
13 Ɔsane kaa bio sɛ, “Monkɔhwehwɛ yei ase wɔ Atwerɛ Kronkron no mu. Wɔatwerɛ sɛ, ‘Ɛnyɛ mo afɔdeɛ ne ayɛyɛdeɛ na mepɛ, na mmom, ahummɔborɔ.’ Mammɛfrɛ teneneefoɔ, na mmom, mebɛfrɛɛ nnebɔneyɛfoɔ sɛ wɔnsakra mmra Onyankopɔn nkyɛn.”
Go and learn what that is: I require compassion, and not a sacrifice! For I did not come to call the righteous, but the sinful.
14 Ɛda bi, Yohane Osubɔni asuafoɔ baa Yesu nkyɛn bɛbisaa no sɛ, “Adɛn enti na wʼasuafoɔ no nni mmuada, sɛdeɛ yɛne Farisifoɔ di mmuada no?”
Then came to him the disciples of John, and said: Why do we and the Pharisees fast much and thy disciples fast not?
15 Yesu buaa wɔn sɛ, “Mogye di sɛ, sɛ ayeforɔkunu ne ne nnamfonom te hɔ a, ɛsɛ sɛ ne nnamfonom no werɛ ho, na wɔbua da anaa? Ɛberɛ bi bɛba a wɔbɛfa me afiri wɔn nkyɛn. Saa ɛberɛ no na wɔbɛdi mmuada.
Jesus said to them: Can the children of the nuptial chamber fast, so long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and then they will fast.
16 “Hwan na ɔde ntoma foforɔ bɛtare ntoma dada mu? Saa ntaremu no bɛsuane dada no mu ama tokuro kɛseɛ abɛda hɔ.
No one inserteth a piece of new cloth on an old garment; lest that which filleth up, tear from that garment, and the rent become greater.
17 Hwan na ɔde nsã foforɔ bɛgu aboa nwoma nsã nkotokuo dada mu? Sɛ ɔyɛ saa a, nsã no bɛpae nkotokuo no ama nsã no ahwie agu, na nkotokuo no nso asɛe. Nsa nkotokuo foforɔ mu nko ara na ɛsɛ sɛ wɔde nsã foforɔ gugu na amma nkotokuo no ne nsã no mu biara ansɛe.”
And they do not put new wine into old sacks; lest the sacks burst, and the wine run out, and the sacks perish. But they put new wine into new sacks and they are both preserved.
18 Yesu gu so rekasa no, Yudafoɔ panin bi ba bɛkoto, sɔree no. Ɔde nʼadesrɛdeɛ too Yesu anim sɛ, “Me babaa awu seesei ara. Menim sɛ, sɛ woba de wo nsa bɛka no pɛ a, ɔbɛnyane.”
And while he was thus discoursing with them a certain ruler came, drew near, worshipped him and said: My daughter is already dead, but come lay thy hand upon her, and she will live.
19 Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ no ne ɔpanin no siim sɛ wɔrekɔ ɔpanin no fie.
And Jesus rose up, and his disciples; and they followed him.
20 Wɔrekɔ no, ɔbaa bi a mogya atu no mfirinhyia dumienu firii Yesu akyi sɔɔ nʼatadeɛ ano.
And behold, a woman whose blood had flowed fourteen years, came up behind him, and touched the extremity of his robe:
21 Ɔkaa wɔ ne tirim sɛ, “Sɛ mede me nsa ka no nko ara a, me ho bɛyɛ me den.”
for she had said in her mind, If I but touch his garment I shall be cured.
22 Yesu danee nʼani ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Ɔbabaa, ma wo bo ntɔ wo yam. Wo gyidie agye wo. Wo ho atɔ wo.” Ɛfiri saa ɛberɛ no mu, ne ho tɔɔ no.
And Jesus turned himself, looked at her, and said to her: Take courage, my daughter; thy faith hath given thee life. And the woman was cured from that very hour.
23 Yesu duruu ɔpanin no fie hɔ a ɔhunuu sɛ nkurɔfoɔ no bi resu na ebinom reto ayiase nnwom no,
And Jesus came to the house of the ruler: and he saw there pipers, and multitudes making outcry.
24 ɔkaa sɛ, “Obiara mfiri adi. Ababaawa no nwuiɛ. Wada!” Yesu asɛm a ɔkaeɛ yi maa nnipa no seree no.
And he said to them: Retire; for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they scoffed at him.
25 Nnipa no nyinaa firii adi no, Yesu kɔɔ faako a ababaawa no da hɔ no. Ɔsɔɔ ne nsa. Prɛko pɛ, ababaawa no nyaneeɛ.
And when he had ejected the throngs, he entered in, and took her by the hand, and the maid rose up.
26 Saa anwanwadeɛ a Yesu yɛeɛ yi trɛɛ wɔ mpɔtam hɔ nyinaa.
And the fame of this thing spread in all that land.
27 Yesu firi deɛ ɔnyanee ababaawa no hɔ rekɔ no, anifirafoɔ baanu bi dii nʼakyi teateaam sɛ, “Dawid ba, hunu yɛn mmɔbɔ!”
And when Jesus had passed from there, two blind men followed after him, and said: Have mercy on us, Thou Son of David!
28 Yesu duruu efie no, anifirafoɔ no baa ne nkyɛn. Yesu bisaa wɔn sɛ, “Mogye di sɛ mɛtumi ama moahunu adeɛ?” Wɔbuaa no sɛ, “Aane, Awurade, yɛgye di!”
And when he had entered a house, those blind men approached him, and Jesus said to them: Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said to him, Yes, our Lord.
29 Yesu de ne nsa kaa wɔn ani kaa sɛ, “Mo gyidie nyɛ deɛ mohwehwɛ mma mo!”
Then he touched their eyes, and said: As ye have believed, so shall it be to you.
30 Amonom hɔ ara na wɔn ani buebueeɛ. Yesu bɔɔ wɔn ano sɛ, “Monnka saa ayaresa yi ho asɛm nkyerɛ obiara.”
And forthwith their eyes were opened. And Jesus charged them and said: See, that no man know of it.
31 Nanso, nnipa no firi hɔ pɛ, wɔbɔɔ asɛm no dawuro.
But they went out and spread the fame of it in all that land.
32 Yesu ne nʼasuafoɔ refiri adi no, wɔde mumu bi a honhommɔne wɔ ne so brɛɛ no.
And as Jesus went out, they brought to him a dumb man in whom was a demon.
33 Yesu tuu honhommɔne no na prɛko pɛ, mumu no kasaeɛ. Saa honhommɔne tuo yi yɛɛ nnipa a wɔwɔ hɔ no nyinaa nwanwa ma wɔkaa sɛ, “Yɛnhunuu saa anwanwadeɛ yi bi da wɔ Israelman mu ha!”
And when the demon had gone out, the dumb man conversed. And the multitudes admired, and said: Never was it so seen in Israel!
34 Farisifoɔ no deɛ, wɔkaa sɛ, “Ɔbonsam de honhommɔne ahyɛ no ma enti na ɔtumi tu ahonhommɔne no.”
But the Pharisees said: It is by the Prince of demons, he casteth out demons.
35 Yesu kyinkyinii nkuro so ne nkuraa ase kaa Onyankopɔn Ahennie no ho asɛmpa wɔ wɔn hyiadan mu. Baabiara a ɔkɔeɛ no, ɔsaa nyarewa ahodoɔ bebree.
And Jesus traveled over all the cities and the villages: and he taught in their synagogues, and proclaimed the tidings of the kingdom, and healed all diseases and all pains.
36 Ɛberɛ a Yesu hunuu nnipadɔm no, ne yam hyehyee no maa wɔn ɛfiri sɛ, ɔhunuu sɛ ɔhaw ahodoɔ gu wɔn so a, wɔnhunu deɛ wɔnyɛ ne deɛ wɔmfa a wɔbɛnya mmoa nso. Wɔte sɛ nnwan a wɔnni ɔhwɛfoɔ.
And when Jesus looked on the multitudes, he pitied them; because they were wearied and dispersed, like sheep that have no shepherd.
37 Ɛha na Yesu ka kyerɛɛ nʼasuafoɔ no sɛ, “Otwa adwuma no dɔɔso, na adwumayɛfoɔ no deɛ, wɔsua.
And he said to his disciples, The harvest is great, and the laborers few.
38 Enti, monsrɛ adwumawura no na ɔmma adwumayɛfoɔ bebree mmra ne twa adwuma no mu.”
Entreat, therefore, of the Lord of the harvest, that he would send laborers into his harvest.
