< 1 Mose 27 >
1 Isak bɔɔ akɔkoraa a nʼani so ayɛ no wisiwisi na ɔnhunu adeɛ papa no, ɛda koro bi, ɔfrɛɛ ne babarima panin Esau. “Me ba.” Ɛnna Esau gyee so sɛ, “Agya, menie.”
And it was for he was old Isaac and they were [too] dim eyes his for seeing and he summoned Esau - son his old and he said to him O son my and he said to him here [am] I.
2 Isak kaa sɛ, “Seesei mabɔ akɔkoraa, na mennim ɛda a mɛwu.
And he said here! please I am old not I know [the] day of death my.
3 Fa wʼagyan ne wo bɛmma, na kɔ wiram kɔpɛ hanam bi brɛ me.
And therefore take up please weapons your quiver your and bow your and go out the field and hunt! for me (wild game. *Q(K)*)
4 Fa noa mʼakɔnnɔduane no bi brɛ me, na menni, na menhyira wo ansa na mawu.”
And prepare for me savory food just as I love and bring [it]! to me so let me eat [it] in order that it may bless you self my before I will die.
5 Ɛberɛ a Isak ne ne ba Esau rekasa no, na Rebeka retie. Enti, ɛberɛ a Esau kɔɔ sɛ ɔrekɔkum ɛnam no aba pɛ, ɛnna
And Rebekah [was] listening when spoke Isaac to Esau son his and he went Esau [to] the field to hunt wild game to bring [it].
6 Rebeka ka kyerɛɛ ne ba Yakob sɛ, “Yakob tie! Metee sɛ wʼagya reka akyerɛ wo nua Esau sɛ,
And Rebekah she said to Jacob son her saying here! I have heard father your speaking to Esau brother your saying.
7 ‘Kɔpɛ hanam bi fa noa mʼakɔnnɔduane no bi brɛ me, na menni, na menhyira wo wɔ Awurade anim, ansa na mawu.’
Bring! to me wild game and prepare for me savory food so let me eat [it] so I may bless you before Yahweh before death my.
8 Afei, me ba, tie asɛm a merebɛka akyerɛ wo yi yie, na di so.
And therefore O son my listen to voice my to [that] which I [am] commanding you.
9 Kɔ nnwankuo no mu, na kɔkyere nnwan mmienu a wɔadɔre sradeɛ brɛ me, na memfa nnoa akɔnnɔduane, sɛdeɛ wʼagya pɛ no pɛpɛɛpɛ mma no.
Go please to the flock and fetch for me from there two kids of goats good so I may prepare them savory food for father your just as he loves.
10 Sɛ menoa wie a, fa kɔma no, na ɔnni, na ɔnhyira wo ansa na wawu.”
And you will bring [it] to father your and he will eat [it] in order that this he may bless you before death his.
11 Yakob ka kyerɛɛ ne maame Rebeka sɛ, “Wonim sɛ me nua Esau ho wɔ nwi, na me nso, me ho yɛ toromtorom.
And he said Jacob to Rebekah mother his here! Esau brother my [is] a man hairy and I [am] a man smooth.
12 Sɛ ɛba sɛ mʼagya de ne nsa fa me ho, na ɔhunu sɛ ɛnyɛ Esau a, ɛbɛyɛ sɛ gyama meredaadaa no, na wadome me mmom, sene sɛ anka ɔbɛhyira me.”
Perhaps he will feel me father my and I will be in view his like a mocker and I will bring on myself a curse and not a blessing.
13 Yakob maame ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Me ba, ma nnome no mmra me so. Wo deɛ, yɛ deɛ maka akyerɛ wo no ara. Kɔ na kɔkyere nnwan no brɛ me.”
And she said to him mother his [be] on me curse your O son my only listen to voice my and go fetch [them] for me.
14 Enti, Yakob tiee ne maame Rebeka asɛm, kɔkyeree nnwan no brɛɛ no. Na ɔkumm wɔn, de noaa akɔnnɔduane bi, sɛdeɛ Isak pɛ no pɛpɛɛpɛ.
And he went and he fetched [them] and he brought [them] to mother his and she prepared mother his savory food just as he loved father his.
15 Ɛno akyiri no, Rebeka faa ne ba panin Esau atadeɛ papa bi a ɛwɔ fie hɔ de maa ne ba Yakob hyɛeɛ.
And she took Rebekah [the] clothes of Esau son her old the desirableness which [were] with her in the house and she clothed Jacob son her young.
16 Afei, ɔde nnwan a wɔkumm wɔn no nwoma yɛɛ ahyɛnsa, kataa Yakob nsa ho. Ɔde bi kataa ne kɔn ho nyinaa.
And [the] skins of [the] kids of the goats she clothed on hands his and on [the] smooth part of neck his.
17 Ɔde burodo a wato no foforɔ kaa akɔnnɔduane a wanoa no ho, de maa ne ba Yakob.
And she put the savory food and the bread which she had prepared in [the] hand of Jacob son her.
18 Yakob de aduane no kɔmaa nʼagya Isak wɔ ne dan mu. Ɔduruu hɔ no, ɔkaa sɛ, “Agya!” Isak buaa sɛ, “Mewɔ hɔ na wo hwan a?”
And he went to father his and he said O father my and he said here [am] I who? [are] you O son my.
19 Yakob ka kyerɛɛ nʼagya sɛ, “Ɛyɛ me wʼabakan Esau. Mayɛ deɛ woka kyerɛɛ me sɛ menyɛ no. Mede hanam a wopɛ no bi anoa wʼakɔnnɔduane no abrɛ wo, enti mesrɛ wo, sɔre tena ase, na didi, na sɛ wodidi wie a, woahyira me.”
And he said Jacob to father his I [am] Esau firstborn your I have done just as you said to me arise please sit! and eat! some of wild game my in order that may bless me self your.
20 Isak bisaa ne ba no sɛ, “Ɛyɛɛ sɛn na wo ho ayɛ hare sɛɛ yi?” Yakob buaa sɛ, “Awurade, wo Onyankopɔn no, na ɔgyinaa mʼakyi maa me nsa kaa hanam no bi ntɛm.”
And he said Isaac to son his what? this have you hastened to find [it] O son my and he said for he made happen Yahweh God your before me.
21 Afei, Isak ka kyerɛɛ Yakob sɛ, “Me ba, twe bɛn me, na memfa me nsa nka wo nhwɛ sɛ, wo ne me ba Esau no ampa anaa.”
And he said Isaac to Jacob draw near! please so I may feel you O son my ¿ [are] you this son my Esau or? not.
22 Yakob twe bɛn nʼagya Isak, na ɔde ne nsa kekaa ne ho kaa sɛ, “Nne yi yɛ Yakob nne, nanso nsa yi yɛ Esau deɛ.”
And he drew near Jacob to Isaac father his and he felt him and he said the voice [is] [the] voice of Jacob and the hands [are] [the] hands of Esau.
23 Isak anhunu sɛ ɛyɛ Yakob, ɛfiri sɛ, na ne nsa ho wɔ nwi te sɛ ne nua Esau pɛpɛɛpɛ. Enti, ɔhyiraa no.
And not he recognized him for they were hands his like [the] hands of Esau brother his hairy and he blessed him.
24 Isak sane bisaa Yakob sɛ, “Enti, ampa ara sɛ wo ne me ba Esau no?” Yakob buaa sɛ, “Aane, me ne Esau.”
And he said [are] you? this son my Esau and he said I.
25 Afei, Isak kaa sɛ, “Me ba, fa wʼaduane no brɛ me na menni, na medi wie a, mahyira wo.” Yakob de aduane no brɛɛ nʼagya Isak, na ɔdiiɛ; ɔsane de nsã brɛɛ no ma ɔnomeeɛ.
And he said bring [it] near! to me so let me eat some of [the] wild game of son my so that it may bless you self my and he brought [it] near to him and he ate and he brought to him wine and he drank.
26 Isak wieeɛ no, ɔka kyerɛɛ Yakob sɛ, “Me ba, bra bɛfe mʼano!”
And he said to him Isaac father his draw near! please and kiss! me O son my.
27 Enti, Yakob kɔɔ nʼagya Isak nkyɛn kɔfee nʼano. Ɛberɛ a Isak huaa Yakob atadeɛ mu, na ɔgye too mu sɛ, ɛyɛ ne ba Esau no, ɔhyiraa no sɛ, “Ampa ara! Me ba ho hwa te sɛ ehwa a ɛfiri afuo a Awurade ahyira so no mu.
And he drew near and he kissed him and he smelled [the] smell of clothes his and he blessed him and he said see [the] smell of son my [is] like [the] smell of a field which he has blessed it Yahweh.
28 Onyankopɔn mma wo ɔsoro bosuo ne asase mu sradeɛ, na afuom aduane ne nsã mmu wo so.
And may he give to you God some of [the] dew of the heavens and some of [the] fatness of the earth and abundance of grain and new wine.
29 Amanaman bɛsom wo, na nnipa nyinaa abu wo nkotodwe. Wobɛdi wo nuanom so, na wo maame mma nso akoto wo. Wɔbɛdome wɔn a wɔdome wo nyinaa, na wɔn a wɔhyira wo nyinaa nso, wɔbɛhyira wɔn.”
May they serve you peoples (and may they bow down *Q(K)*) to you peoples be lord to brothers your so may they bow down to you [the] sons of mother your [those who] curse you [be] cursed and [those who] bless you [be] blessed.
30 Isak hyiraa Yakob wieeɛ, na ɔfirii nʼagya nkyɛn kɔeɛ ara pɛ, na ne nua Esau firi nʼahayɔ baeɛ.
And it was just as he had finished Isaac to bless Jacob and it was surely certainly he had gone out Jacob from with [the] face of Isaac father his and Esau brother his he came from hunting his.
31 Ɔno nso noaa akɔnnɔduane brɛɛ nʼagya. Na ɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Agya, sɔre na di me hanamduane no, na hyira me.”
And he prepared also he savory food and he brought [it] to father his and he said to father his let him arise father my and let him eat some of [the] wild game of son his in order that may bless me self your.
32 Nʼagya Isak bisaa no sɛ, “Na hwan nie?” Esau buaa sɛ, “Ɛyɛ me wʼabakan Esau.”
And he said to him Isaac father his who? [are] you and he said I [am] son your firstborn your Esau.
33 Isak tee saa asɛm yi pɛ, ne ho hyɛɛ aseɛ wosoo biribiribiri, na ɔbisaa sɛ, “Ɛnneɛ, na hwan na ɔkɔɔ ahayɔ kɔkumm ɛnam de noaa aduane brɛɛ me yi. Medidi wieeɛ hyiraa onipa ko no pɛ na wobaeɛ yi? Nokorɛ mu ni, nhyira a mahyira no no, sɛ mesane mʼano a, ɛrenyɛ yie!”
And he trembled Isaac trembling great up to muchness and he said who? then [is] he who hunted wild game and he brought [it] to me and I ate some of everything before you came and I blessed him also blessed he will be.
34 Ɛberɛ a Esau tee asɛm a nʼagya kaeɛ no, ɔno nso de awerɛhoɔ teaam dendeenden, ka kyerɛɛ nʼagya sɛ, “Agya! Hyira me. Hyira me nso bi!”
When heard Esau [the] words of father his and he cried a cry great and bitter up to muchness and he said to father his bless me also me O father my.
35 Nanso, Isak kaa sɛ, “Ɛnneɛ, na wo nua na ɔde nnaadaa abɛgye wo nhyira kɔ!”
And he said he came brother your with deceit and he took blessing your.
36 Esau kaa sɛ, “Ɛnyɛ nwanwa sɛ wɔfrɛ no Yakob a aseɛ kyerɛ nantitwitwafoɔ. Yei ne ne mprenu so a wadaadaa me. Deɛ ɛdi ɛkan ne sɛ, ɔdaadaa me gyee me panin. Deɛ ɛtɔ so mmienu nso ne sɛ, ɔde nnaadaa agye me nhyira!” Afei, Esau bisaa nʼagya sɛ, “Enti, woannya me nhyira no bi a wode bɛhyira me nso?”
And he said ¿ for did someone call name his Jacob and he has supplanted me this two times birthright my he took and here! now he has taken blessing my and he said ¿ not have you reserved for me a blessing.
37 Isak buaa Esau sɛ, “Manya de no ayɛ wo wura dada. Mede ne nuanom nyinaa ayɛ ne nkoa. Mahyira no sɛ, ɔbɛnya afuom nnuane ne nsã foforɔ bebree. Na afei, ɛdeɛn bio na aka a mɛtumi ayɛ ama wo, me ba?”
And he answered Isaac and he said to Esau here! lord I have appointed him to you and all brothers his I have given to him to servants and grain and new wine I have sustained him and for you then what? will I do O son my.
38 Esau bisaa nʼagya sɛ, “Agya, enti nhyira baako pɛ na wowɔ? Ao, agya, hyira me nso bi!”
And he said Esau to father his ¿ [does] a blessing one it [belong] to you O father my bless me also me O father my and he lifted up Esau voice his and he wept.
39 Afei, nʼagya Isak buaa no sɛ, “Tie! Asase kesee so na wobɛtena, na ɛsoro bosuo rentɔ wɔ so.
And he answered Isaac father his and he said to him there! away from [the] fatness of the earth it will be dwelling your and away from [the] dew of the heavens above.
40 Wode wo akofena na ɛbɛtena ase, na woasom wo nua kumaa. Nanso, daakye bi, sɛ wokentene wo ho a, wobɛfiri wo nua no som ase.”
And on sword your you will live and brother your you will serve and it will be just as you will be restless and you will tear off yoke his from on neck your.
41 Esiane Esau nhyira a Yakob kɔdaadaa wɔn agya Isak gyeeɛ no enti, Esau tanee Yakob. Esau kaa wɔ ne tirim sɛ, “Ɛrenkyɛre, na mʼagya Isak awu. Sɛ ɔnya wu a, mɛkum me nua Yakob.”
And he bore a grudge against Esau Jacob on the blessing which he had blessed him father his and he said Esau in heart his they will draw near [the] days of [the] mourning of father my and I will kill Jacob brother my.
42 Obi tee adwene a Esau afa wɔ ne nua kumaa Yakob ho no, ɔkɔbɔɔ wɔn maame Rebeka amanneɛ. Enti, Rebeka soma kɔfrɛɛ ne ba kumaa Yakob, na ɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Wo nua Esau abɔ ne tirim sɛ, sɛ ɔnya wo a, ɔbɛkum wo ansa na ne bo atɔ ne yam.
And it was told to Rebekah [the] words of Esau son her old and she sent and she summoned Jacob son her young and she said to him here! Esau brother your [is] comforting himself to you by killing you.
43 Enti, me ba, tie asɛm a merebɛka akyerɛ wo yi yie. Dwane ntɛm kɔ me nua Laban nkyɛn wɔ Haran.
And therefore O son my listen to voice my and arise flee for yourself to Laban brother my Haran towards.
44 Tena ne nkyɛn kakra wɔ hɔ, kɔsi sɛ, wo nua Esau bo bɛdwo.
And you will remain with him days one until that it will turn back [the] anger of brother your.
45 Sɛ wo nua akoma tɔ ne yam, na ne werɛ firi deɛ woyɛɛ no, na ɔgyaa mu ma ɛka a, mɛsoma abɛka akyerɛ wo, na woafiri Haran aba. Adɛn enti na ɛsɛ sɛ metena hɔ hwɛ, na me mma baanu bom wu ɛda koro?”
Until turns back [the] anger of brother your from you and he will forget [that] which you did to him and I will send and I will fetch you from there why? will I be bereaved also both of you a day one.
46 Enti, Rebeka ka kyerɛɛ Isak sɛ, “Saa Hetifoɔ mmabaawa yi koraa ama asetena afono me. Sɛ ɛkɔba sɛ Yakob nso kɔware Hetifoɔ asase so mmabaawa yi bi a, mmaa te sɛ yeinom bi a, ɛnneɛ, na mewuiɛ koraa a, anka ɛyɛ.”
And she said Rebekah to Isaac I loathe life my because of [the] daughters of Heth if [is] taking Jacob a wife from [the] daughters of Heth like these from [the] daughters of the land why? [belongs] to me life.
