2 Korintofoɔ 2
1 Enti, meyɛɛ mʼadwene sɛ meremma mo nkyɛn bio mmɛhyɛ mo awerɛhoɔ.
For I determined this for myself, that I would not come to you again in sorrow.
2 Sɛ mebɛhyɛ mo awerɛhoɔ a, hwan na ɔbɛkyekyere me werɛ? Me ara a mahyɛ mo awerɛhoɔ no anaa?
For if I make you sorry, then who will make me glad but he who is made sorry by me?
3 Saa enti na metwerɛɛ saa krataa no brɛɛ mo. Na mempɛ sɛ meba mo nnipa korɔ no ara a mobɛgye mʼani no nkyɛn bɛhyɛ mo awerɛhoɔ. Menim yie sɛ, sɛ me ho tɔ me a, mo nso mo ho bɛtɔ mo.
And I wrote this very thing, so that, when I came, I would not have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy would be shared by all of you.
4 Mede amanehunu, awerɛhoɔ ne nisuo na ɛretwerɛ mo saa krataa yi. Mantwerɛ mammɛhyɛ mo awerɛhoɔ na mmom, metwerɛ de bɛkyerɛɛ ɔdɔ a medɔ mo nyinaa.
For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears, not that you should be made sorry, but that you might know the love that I have so abundantly for you.
5 Sɛ obi ahyɛ afoforɔ awerɛhoɔ a, ɛnyɛ me na wahyɛ me saa awerɛhoɔ no, na mo anaasɛ mo mu bi na wahyɛ no saa awerɛhoɔ no. Mempɛ sɛ me nsa yɛ den wɔ saa onipa no so.
But if any has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow, not to me, but in part (that I not press too heavily) to you all.
6 Asotwe a dodoɔ no ara atwe no no dɔɔso ma no.
Sufficient to such a one is this punishment which was inflicted by the many;
7 Ɛsɛ sɛ mode kyɛ no na mokyekyere ne werɛ sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a awerɛhoɔ renhyɛ ne so.
so that on the contrary you should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his excessive sorrow.
8 Mesrɛ mo, momma ɔnhunu sɛ mopɛ nʼasɛm pa ara.
Therefore I urge you to confirm your love toward him.
9 Deɛ enti a metwerɛ mo krataa no ne sɛ: Mepɛ sɛ mehunu sɛ moatumi agyina sɔhwɛ no ano pintinn na nsɛm a meka kyerɛ mo no nso, modi so anaa.
For to this end I also wrote, that I might know the proof of you, whether you are obedient in all things.
10 Sɛ obi yɛ bɔne bi na mode kyɛ no a, me nso mede kyɛ no. Sɛ ɛho hia sɛ mede kyɛ na mede kyɛ a, ɛsɛ sɛ mede biribiara kyɛ. Na mo enti na meyɛ saa wɔ Kristo anim
Now I also forgive whomever you forgive anything. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ,
11 sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, ɔbonsam rennya yɛn ho ɛkwan, ɛfiri sɛ, yɛnim ne nsusuiɛ.
that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.
12 Ɛberɛ a meduruu Troa kɔkaa Asɛmpa no, mehunuu sɛ Awurade ama adwuma no yɛ ho ɛkwan wɔ hɔ.
Now when I came to Troas for the Good News of Christ, and when a door was opened to me in the Lord,
13 Nanso, me werɛ hoeɛ, ɛfiri sɛ, na menhunu yɛn nua Tito. Enti, mekraa nnipa a wɔwɔ hɔ no na mesiim mekɔɔ Makedonia.
I had no relief for my spirit, because I did not find Titus, my brother, but taking my leave of them, I went out into Macedonia.
14 Yɛda Onyankopɔn ase sɛ daa ɔto yɛn santene wɔ anigyeɛ ne nkonimdie wɔ Kristo mu ma yɛyi hwa a ɛyɛ hwam. Onyankopɔn nam yɛn so ma Kristo ho asɛm trɛ kɔ baabiara sɛ aduhwam.
Now thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and reveals through us the sweet aroma of his knowledge in every place.
15 Yɛte sɛ aduhwam a Kristo de ama Onyankopɔn a ɛtrɛ kɔ wɔn a wɔregye wɔn nkwa ne wɔn a wɔreyera mu.
For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God, in those who are saved, and in those who perish;
16 Na wɔn a wɔreyera no deɛ, ɛyɛ wɔn hwa bɔne a ɛtumi kum. Nanso, wɔn a wɔregye wɔn nkwa no, ɛyɛ adeɛ a ɛyɛ hwam a ɛma wɔn nkwa. Hwan na ɔbɛtumi agyina adwuma a ɛyɛ den sei anim?
to the one a stench from death to death; to the other a sweet aroma from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?
17 Yɛnte sɛ nnipa afoforɔ bi a wɔfa Onyankopɔn asɛm sɛ adetɔndeɛ bi, na ɛsiane sɛ Onyankopɔn asoma yɛn no enti, yɛka nokorɛ wɔ nʼanim sɛ Kristo asomfoɔ.
For we are not, like so many, peddling the word of God. But as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, we speak in Christ.
