< 1 Korintofoɔ 13 >
1 Sɛ mede nnipa ne abɔfoɔ tɛkrɛma kasa na menni dɔ a, na mete sɛ yaawa a ɛregyegyeɛ anaa akasaeɛ a ɛrewoso kɛkɛ.
If I speak with the tongues of humans and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong, or a clanging cymbal.
2 Ebia na mewɔ akyɛdeɛ a metumi ka asɛmpa no ma ɛka nnipa akoma; ebia na mewɔ osuahunu ne nteaseɛ ma mete ahintasɛm nyinaa ase; ebia na mewɔ gyidie a ɛma metumi tutu mmepɔ, nanso sɛ menni ɔdɔ a, menka hwee.
If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
3 Mɛtumi de deɛ mewɔ nyinaa makyɛ na mpo matu me onipadua asi hɔ sɛ wɔnhye, nanso sɛ menni ɔdɔ a, mennya ho mfasoɔ biara.
If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
4 Ɔdɔ wɔ boasetɔ na ne tirim yɛ mmerɛ; ɔdɔ nyɛ ahoɔyea anaa ɛnkyerɛ ne ho anaa ɔnni ahomasoɔ su;
Love is patient and is kind; love does not envy. Love does not brag, is not proud,
5 ɔdɔ mmu ɔbra bɔne; ɔnyɛ pɛsɛmenkomenya; ne bo nha no; ɔmfa bɔne nhyɛ ne mu;
does not behave itself inappropriately, does not seek its own way, is not irritable, does not keep a record of wrongs;
6 ɔdɔ mpɛ bɔne, na mmom, ɔpɛ nokorɛ.
does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
7 Ɔdɔ mpa aba; ne gyidie, nʼanidasoɔ ne ne boasetɔ nni hwammɔ.
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Ɔdɔ wɔ hɔ daa. Nkɔmhyɛ wɔ hɔ nanso, ɛnte hɔ daa; akyɛdeɛ a ɛma wɔka kasa foforɔ wɔ hɔ, nanso ɛwɔ nʼawieeɛ; osuahunu wɔ hɔ, nanso ɛbɛtwam.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will be done away with. Where there are tongues, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away with.
9 Deɛ yɛnim no ne nkɔm a yɛhyɛ no yɛ fa ne fa bi;
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;
10 nanso deɛ ɛyɛ pɛ no nya ba a, deɛ ɛyɛ fa ne fa no bɛgu.
but when that which is complete has come, that which is partial will be done away with.
11 Meyɛ abɔfra no mekasaa sɛ abɔfra, medwenee sɛ abɔfra, mesusuu sɛ abɔfra, na meyɛɛ ɔpanin yi, magu mmɔfraasɛm no.
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become an adult, I have put away childish things.
12 Deɛ yɛhunu no seesei no te sɛ su bi a ɛyɛ kusuu wɔ ahwehwɛ mu. Ɛno akyi, yɛbɛhunu no kann. Deɛ menim seesei no yɛ ɛho fa bi; akyire yi, ɛbɛdi mu te sɛ Onyankopɔn nimdeɛ a ɔwɔ wɔ me ho no.
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known.
13 Na afei nneɛma mmiɛnsa yi na ɛwɔ hɔ: gyidie, anidasoɔ, ɔdɔ; na ɔdɔ ne mu kɛseɛ.
But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.
